The traffic issues have decreased the satisfaction of living and the quality of the environment. Hence, finding a solution for current issues is a top priority. The emerging trend of car-sharing has attracted attention all over the world. To explore the potential of car-sharing services in Hong Kong, it is essential to understand car-sharing services from the public and the operator's point of view. This study conducts an online survey that aims to identify the factors, such as demographics, driving habits, and car-sharing service attributes, etc., that influence the likelihood of people using carsharing services. The survey collected 213 responses for the multiple regression model to identify the factors that affect people using a car-sharing service. The results indicated that people with less monthly income, fewer owned vehicles, less reliance on public transport, and believe more in car-sharing service is an alternative to car ownership and online booking is an advantage to car-sharing service are more likely to use car-sharing service in Hong Kong. In addition, the attitude toward the carsharing service of most of the respondents is positive. However, the survey results and interview findings show that the publicity of car-sharing is inadequate, and lack of support from the local government is causing low familiarity of the concept, which resulted in low participation of the public in car-sharing services. Therefore, recommendations to the operators are given at the end of this paper to better develop the car-sharing service in Hong Kong.","PeriodicalId":278114,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2021 9th International Conference on Information Technology: IoT and Smart City","volume":"142 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115785698","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A research method based on PEST Analysis, SHERPA (Systematic Human Error Reduction and Prediction Approach) and FEMA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) is proposed. First, this research combines PEST analysis to analyze the architecture and interaction model of the WITMED for the elderly in the post-epidemic era, and then explores the interaction design under the system through SHERPA and FEMA, and finds out potential failure modes in the existing interaction design. The Risk Priority Number (RPN) is calculated to explore the interaction design under the system. According to the failure mode, the interaction design is optimized, and the optimized design is finally verified. Finally, the functional architecture and interactive model system of WITMED for the elderly were constructed, and through the error analysis of the task, problems were found and targeted improvements were made. It not only improves the interactive experience of the elderly in WITMED, but also brings the benefits of digital development to the health of the elderly.","PeriodicalId":278114,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2021 9th International Conference on Information Technology: IoT and Smart City","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116127615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditional medical methods require high time and labor input. At present, the use of computer-assisted preoperative planning can largely assist doctors in quickly determining the cause of the disease and giving timely advice. Appropriate treatment with the patient. In view of the fact that traditional preoperative planning methods rely solely on the physician's personal experience, which can easily lead to errors in judgment and fail to give the patient correct and efficient treatment opinions,this article introduces an algorithm for automatically segmenting human bones and a method of CT images inpainting. The automatic segmentation algorithm uses the segmented CT images to input the GAN model for image inpainting, and then performs the 3D reconstruction of the marching cubes on the repaired CT images. The results of the experiment present that the human bone automatic segmentation is far superior to traditional segmentation algorithms in RMSD and MSD indicators, and the CT images inpainting indicators after GAN model repair are also better than traditional WGAN and DCGAN models.","PeriodicalId":278114,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2021 9th International Conference on Information Technology: IoT and Smart City","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128386645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Internet of Things (IoT) are often heard and successful in business revolution from all sectors. The IoT are widely used in numerous sectors including medical services and have become the rise of Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). One of the implementations is the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Previously the health records were used in traditional manner such as print-out health record of a patient and stored to an archive room. With the innovation of EHR, patients’ health records are digitalized which provides advantages from space efficiency and paperless forms. EHR helps medical service management to provide better healthcare services. With the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data Analysis in EHR, healthcare services provide more accurate and reliable diagnosis.","PeriodicalId":278114,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2021 9th International Conference on Information Technology: IoT and Smart City","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127162817","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"An Exploratory Study of Potential Freeway Level-of-Service Measures by Simulation Approach and Statistical Analysis","authors":"Xiaona Lu, Yolanda Ziyu Lu","doi":"10.1145/3512576.3512666","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1145/3512576.3512666","url":null,"abstract":"Traffic operations analysis for freeway management includes Level of Service (LOS) methodology. Conventionally, density is adopted as the LOS measure for basic freeway segment. To account for different vehicle types in mixed freeway flows, the current method transforms trucks into passenger car equivalent (PCE) values. This practice has raised questions regarding its effectiveness because drivers of different vehicle types perceive the quality of service differently even under a same density. Therefore, \"whether the PCE-based adjustment for a single LOS threshold for all vehicle types is reasonable\" is subjected to investigation. So this paper proposes two measures and evaluates their applicability to major vehicle types: acceleration noise (AN); average lane change rate (ALCR). Their respective relationship to traffic and operational factors was investigated through simulation approach, and totally 108 simulation scenarios resulted from the factorial design. AN showed promising results as it exhibited differentiable monotonous tendency, with the flow rate changing, for each of different vehicle types, while ALCR showed the vulnerability, namely the lack of monotonous and differentiable tendency, regarding the service quality measurement for different vehicle types. This study provides some inspiring insights into further researching and developing freeway LOS measures for different vehicle types in burgeoning big-data environments.","PeriodicalId":278114,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2021 9th International Conference on Information Technology: IoT and Smart City","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131264665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The power for operation of sensor terminal depends on its battery. If the battery runs out of power, it will be impossible to monitor farmed fish. It is not desirable to replace the battery of a sensor terminal because of the cost of replacing the battery and the possibility of damaging the fish body when the replacement is done. Therefore, extending the lifetime of the battery installed in the sensor terminal is an important issue. In this paper, we consider introducing a energy harvesting technology, which is a technology that converts the small amount of energy present in the environment into electricity, to our monitoring system to be able to recharge the battery. In addition, we investigate the impact of data forwarding methods on data collection performance and power consumption in our fish farm monitoring system with energy harvesting. Through simulation evaluations, we clarify the basic characteristics of data forwarding methods in our system.","PeriodicalId":278114,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2021 9th International Conference on Information Technology: IoT and Smart City","volume":"119 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132348035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods are mostly sensitive to the intensity value of data captured by laser and the type of road scene. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a method of using the image-to-image translation based on conditional adversarial networks to achieve the extraction, recognition, and identification of road marking based on laser data. This method contains three steps: (1) the generation of 3D intensity images based on the extracted ground surface, (2) an automated road marking extraction based on conditional adversarial networks of image-to-image method, (3) the identification and vectorization based on modified Normalized Cross Correlation (NCC) template matching algorithm. Quantitative and qualitative analysis based on experimental data for different road scenarios are used to verify the robustness of the method and the accuracy of the extraction results. The experimental result based on different road scenes is promising and valuable for the update of road feature database. The proposed method makes the extraction, recognition, and identification of road markings more robust and accurate while also delivering a valuable solution for the HD map used by intelligent and connected vehicles.","PeriodicalId":278114,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2021 9th International Conference on Information Technology: IoT and Smart City","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116633953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Prediction algorithms based on machine learning or deep learning usually need a large number of unabridged historical data to conduct parameter training. However, data will be missing and abnormal in practice, which will affect the accuracy of prediction. In this paper, we propose the stream tensor analysis (STA) algorithm for traffic flow prediction. First, dynamic tensor stream of four dimensions of space, time, day and week is constructed to better mine the multi-mode correlation between traffic flow data. Second, the first few columns with the largest norm are selected to update the projection matrix by the tracking projection matrix algorithm. The experimental results show that the STA algorithm has low complexity, and also achieve good prediction performance in random missing and extreme missing patterns.","PeriodicalId":278114,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2021 9th International Conference on Information Technology: IoT and Smart City","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131194099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
