Despite this, it has been noted that the non-life insurance firms in the Kenyan context have been faced with concerns in regards non-resolved customer complaints, insurance penetration, and clients’ confidence. As a result, this study examined the effect of information technology agility on customer satisfaction in the context of non-life insurance firms in Kenya. Variables for this research were anchored on dynamic capabilities and dissonance theories. The study population consisted of 28 non-life insurance companies that was observed through a sample survey of 133 from a population of 196. The methodology of the study was informed by descriptive research design. Data was obtained via a structured questionnaire. Face, content and construct validities were confirmed on the research instrument. Further, reliability of the research instrument was analyzed on the basis of Cronbach Alpha index constructed from observations gathered in a pilot study. Statistical interrogation of data involved the use of descriptive and inferential analysis. Whereas descriptive analysis focused on sample mean and sample standard deviation, inferential analysis encompassed correlation and regression analysis. Statistical results were displayed in figures and tables. The study revealed a moderate positive linear relationship between information technology agility and customer satisfaction. Additionally, linear regression analysis confirmed that information technology agility has positive effect on customer satisfaction. It’s therefore recommended that the managers in charge of information technology should strengthen programs on information technology sharing, and business process integration. Sufficient resources should be availed for consistently maintaining and upgrading the information technology infrastructure so as to be responsive to shift in information needs in an ever-changing business environment.","PeriodicalId":277653,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Managerial Studies and Research","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114901118","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The availability of important information that is needed by the users of the information is usually regulated by a regulator in a country. In Indonesia, the obligation to submit minimum information in the annual report of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange is regulated in Bapepam Rule Number X.K.6. In the Indonesian capital market, the level of compliance of companies related to mandatory disclosure is quite good, namely 88.89% (Diyanti 2010). This paper takes cell phone background as an example, through data mining cell phone user reviews, using word frequency and word cloud methods for text analysis of user reviews, extracting two types of hot review words-[service features] and [cell phone features], exploring whether each hot review word behind can significantly affect the favorable rating of cell phones by establishing a random forest regression model, and calculating the corresponding sentiment score of each hot review word according to the sentiment tendency calculation method. Finally, this paper analyzes each hot review term in depth and designs a specific evaluation system, which can be used to paint an overall and detailed portrait of the cell phone, thus helping merchants to quickly find the shortcomings of the product and determine the direction of improvement.","PeriodicalId":277653,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Managerial Studies and Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129084960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The review explored procurement policy as a determinant for organizational performance in teaching hospitals in Ibadan, Oyo State, with reference to University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. Descriptive and survey design was embraced for the review. The populace in the review contained 158. A stratified sampling technique was used and the strata’s are procurement, stores, payment units (Account) and the different end users department. An organized poll was directed. The instrument was approved and information assembled was broke down utilizing mean, standard deviation and correlation analysis. Out of the 158 polls directed, 136 were recovered (86% reaction rate). The review discovered that negotiation management (mean worth 4.2581), competitive bidding (mean worth 4.2581), and suppliers’ relationship management (mean worth 4.3065), and procurement policy indices utilizing correlation co-efficient: (negotiation the management 0.737, competitive bidding 0.230 and suppliers' relationship management 0.311) were found to have a positive and significant effect on organizational performance of UCH. The study subsequently inferred that procurement policies are proactive in nature and a panacea to organizational performance. Based on the findings, it is therefore recommended that there is need to have a check list that guarantees that procurement of supplies and services are done within the budgetary approvals so as to avoid delay in payments. Also, staff and providers' training is one more key system in the realization of organizational performance.","PeriodicalId":277653,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Managerial Studies and Research","volume":"453 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129433553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
