Network figuring is the gathering of PC assets from numerous areas to achieve a typical objective. The matrix can be considered as a disseminated framework with non-intuitive workloads that include countless. The reallocation of the grids is one of the challenging task through which merely the occupied grids are wasted with the reusability condition. The Existing researchers have proven that reallocation of grid will result in the efficient improvement of the grid usability through which the total grid advance into the second generation of Grid Reallocation Scheme. This paper describes the reallocation process with the λ process through which every grids stability and working conditions are verified and those grids are having the challenging results with the maximum occupancy is chosen and those grids are resynthesized and reformed to be a fresh grid through which the grid is reused for the conventional purposes. The referred technique follows with the X-Grid Algorithm though which this reallocation process is achieved.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121604226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One such disease is breast cancer, killing millions of people, especially women. In this paper we propose a bio inspired model called BATELM which is a combination of Bat algorithm (BAT) and Extreme Learning Machines (ELM) which is first of its kind in the study of non image breast cancer data analysis. The concept of BAT and ELM which has many advantages when compared to the existing algorithms of their genre have motivated us to build a model that can predict the medical data with high accuracy and minimal error. Here we make use of BAT to optimize the parameters of ELM so that the prediction task is carried out efficiently. The main aim of ELM is to predict the data with minimum error. For attaining a minimal error we have tested Wisconsin Breast Cancer Prognostic (WBCP) dataset upon three different learning functions (sigmoid, sin and tanh) and the function which produces the best result has been considered as the final. We carried out two case studies to support our model. In case study I the objective was to predict whether the breast cancer is recurrent or non-recurrent. The accuracy obtained for this case is found to be 95.7% with an RMSE of 0.32. In case study II our objective was to predict the time of recurrence, the result obtained for this case were found to be 93.75% accurate with an RMSE of 0.30. In both the cases tanh function performed better.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"146 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125975057","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main reason behind using fiber optic cable is its high speed of transmission, large Bandwidth and less attenuation. In this paper a modified Radio over Fiber system is proposed by implementing Low pass Chebyschev filter at the receiver and by optimizing interferometers parameter. It was found that proposed system's Q-factor was 47% higher at low bit rates and 124% higher at high bit rates as compared to previously proposed RoF system [1]. Also, with respect to length of fiber there was significant Q factor for long optical fiber cables. Moreover, BER was zero till 2.7 Gbps, which increases the feasibility of our system by a huge extent in comparison to earlier RoF systems [1]. Simulations were done using optisystem software [2].","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126684688","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These unnecessary handovers lead to additional eNB scanning, handover delay, MAC overhead and it will have impact on real time applications. The reduction in the scanning delay is vital in any network as all the data transmissions are paused until the handover procedure is completed. In this paper authors have made an attempt to predict the direction of movement of the User Equipment (UE) of LTE network in order to overcome the handover issues. This uses a scheme known as Mobile Station (MS) movement direction prediction (MMDP) based handover. In this method, only selected eNBs will be involved in the process of scanning. Hence repeated scanning of all neighboring Base stations is avoided and only shortlisted Base Stations are scanned. Further the available free channels and the received signal strength (RSSI) values are considered to select the potential target eNB.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126701594","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These sound signals carry important source of information which helps in automated diagnosis of faults. Fault diagnosis is a process of identifying the source of failure from a set of observed fault indications. This study gives an empirical analysis of features and techniques for fault diagnosis in motorcycles based on acoustic signals. The work proceeds in three stages: fault detection, faulty subsystem identification and fault localization. The time-domain, frequency-domain and wavelet-based features are considered for discussion. The features are tested with various classifiers at each stage of the experiment. Study reveals that the classification accuracy lies in the range of 70 to 100%. The proposed study helps in fault diagnosis of vehicles, machinery, tuning of musical instruments, and medical diagnosis.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127041979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Discrete Sine Transform is a finite - length discrete transform which is related to the renowned Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and is quite popular in signal processing arena, but has remained in the oblivion from pure mathematicians. Many of the properties of the Discrete Sine Transform are akin to those of the Discrete Fourier Transform and Discrete Cosine Transform, subject to minor differences. A formal derivation of the Duality Theorem corresponding to the Discrete Sine Transform is given which was hitherto not mentioned or derived in the literature. The usage of Duality Theorem helps in finding the discrete time - domain function from the DST frequency domain and vice versa thereby reducing considerable labour involved in the evaluation of the summation and hence, saves computation time and cost of implementation to a considerable extent. DST finds applications in Image Processing, Signal Processing applications for Communication Systems, and in the numerical solutions of differential equations as well as partial differential equations of mathematics.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130333114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Electronic commerce (e-commerce), mobile commerce (m-commerce), and ubiquitous commerce are based not only on development concerns of Internet but also technological and organizational innovations arising from the combination of telecommunications and organizational computing. In u-commerce, service is provided according to user's personal profile, which includes individual user's preference by considering the technical limitation of mobile device. In ubiquitous environment, a recommender system plays an important role which is mainly used to provide the suitable recommendations to the user. This paper proposes a new smart computing environment for retail chain management. The proposed system uses ubiquitous commerce for recommendation of products. At the basic level of design, consideration of user ratings, historical ratings, and absence of rating values (those who are not given the rating of the products for prediction). Initially, the value of product is set to zero that is not rated by any user. The proposed system recommends the predicted item to users. Finally, we have evaluated the performance parameters for the proposed scheme in terms of recommendation time, prediction time, end to end delay, error prediction, and throughput.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130391525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
