But the reality in the field shows another, learning activities that should attract, full of activities, creativity and bright ideas that do not exist, there is only a passive class hanayalah. Teachers are the spearhead in the success of teaching and learning process, therefore teachers are required to be able to innovate and master the various methods in delivering learning meteri that will be conveyed to the students. Lack of variation in the model of learning is one of the factors lazy students in following the teaching and learning process resulting in the level of mastery of student learning. This paper aims to explore the efforts of SMP Negeri 1 Pamarayan in optimizing the role of school committees in the protection of teachers in the implementation of education. The results of the study show that SMP Negeri 1 Pamarayan efforts always coordinate with school committees that are scheduled at least every two months, accommodate and channel the aspirations and initiatives of the community in giving birth to operational policies and educational programs, increasing responsibilities and community participation in the implementation of education, creating atmosphere and transparent, accountable, and democratic conditions. The perceived outcomes relate to teacher protection. The role of school committees in realizing teacher protection can be optimized by scheduling coordination between schools and school committees, all emerging cases can be addressed thanks to the school committee's role without causing a community reaction that harms both parties. \u0000Keywords. SBM is also a form of operationalization of the decentralization or education autonomy policy in relation to regional autonomy. Theoretically, SBM is also a concept that offers autonomy to schools in order to improve quality, efficiency and equity of education in order to accommodate the interests of local communities as well as establishing close cooperation between schools, communities and governments. Operationally SBM is an idea that places the authority of school management in a system entity. Based on the above view, this article outlines the basic framework of SBM as a strategy for improving the quality of education. With SBM, principals, teachers and learners get the opportunity to innovate and improvise in schools related to curriculum, learning, managerial and others. So the principal serves as an educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, innovator, motivator, figure, and mediator. SBM also calls for the creation of new institutional arrangements and institutions, including: the establishment of school boards, development of school strategy planning, develop of annual school planning, internal monitoring and self-assessment, annual reporting, school opinion surveys of school stakeholders. \u0000Keywords.
