In contrast, sugar, artificial food colourings, and preservatives have been associated with an increased risk of ADHD. During the COVID-19 pandemic, managing food and nutrition for children with ADHD presented several difficulties. This study was conducted to evaluate the eating patterns of ADHD children, restricted foods (food safety), and the significance/need for parents and caregivers of ADHD children to be aware of food safety and security. The children were between 4 and 12 years old; 64% of the respondents were boys, while 36% were girls. They eat more Indian cuisine and have at least one Indian meal daily, whereas they occasionally enjoy western foods. Children who consume western cuisine are more prone to ADHD than those who consume Indian cuisine. Most parents are aware of the foods children with ADHD should avoid. Regarding ADHD, there is a considerable correlation between children's dietary patterns and food safety. During the pandemic, many parents of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder were primarily concerned with ensuring their children received adequate nutrition and coping with an unanticipated financial crisis.","PeriodicalId":274343,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF ADVANCED APPLIED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125220499","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Yogurt is milk that has been fermented and is made by adding two specific bacterial cultures to warm milk, namely Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophiles. Yogurt is considered as a cure for diarrhoea, stomach ailments, and irritating skin condition, as well as fungal and yeast infections, and used in some bronchial conditions. High levels of live bacterial cultures in Yogurt contribute to its nutritional and therapeutic properties. The use of different fruits and additives in fruit Yogurt production has improved its nutritional and sensory properties. Citrullus lanatus (Watermelon) is a tropical fruit that contains a variety of nutrients, including fibre, vitamins-A, vitamin B1 and B6, potassium, iodine, magnesium, zinc, and antioxidants which are essential for human health. The addition of watermelon in any commercial product enhances the taste, flavour, and nutrient quality. The objective of the study are: To develop Yogurt incorporated with watermelon fruit pulp and its extract; To perform sensory analysis of Yogurt incorporated with watermelon fruit pulp and its extract; To analyse the nutrient composition, phytonutrient composition and antioxidant activity of the Yogurt incorporated with watermelon fruit pulp and its extract; To calculate cost of the developed Yogurt incorporated watermelon fruit pulp and its extract. The developed watermelon fruit pulp and it extract incorporated yogurt were subjected to sensory evaluation for the overall acceptability with the help of a 5-point hedonic scale with 10 semi- trained members. Which was very well accepted. The nutritional analysis was carried out for protein, fat, iron, calcium, and vitamin C content and was found to be high in watermelon pulp and extract incorporated Yogurt. It contains micronutrients and other phytochemicals such as carotenoids. Moringa seeds are an excellent source of vitamin B6, C, Provit A such as beta-carotene, magnesium and protein among other nutrients. This study aimed to develop Moringa seed powder incorporated with an Indian savoury snack (Karasev), analyze its nutrients, and evaluate the shelf life of the products. In this study, Moringa seed powder was incorporated with the Indian savoury snack (Karasev), and four varieties (10,20,30, and 40%) and their sensory properties were tested. Protein and calcium nutrient analyses were performed. Additional shelf-life research was conducted for one month on nutrient and microbial analysis. Moringa seed powder incorporated in Indian savoury snack (Karasev) (10 %) is acceptable for organoleptic studies. Incorporated products contain more protein and calcium than standard products. The selected product was organoleptically acceptable for up to 30 days without microbial deterioration when stored in a zip-lock cover and an airtight container. Finally, since much evidence is available on the health benefits of moringa leaves, reports about moringa seeds are very limited; therefore, further research is needed to document the health benefits of moringa seeds and their potential implementation in various cookeries worldwide and make it a healthy diet.","PeriodicalId":274343,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF ADVANCED APPLIED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121663683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Ayurvedic classics, it can be co-related to garbhashayagrivagatavrana. Its management mainly includes destruction of overgrown epithelium by different techniques has its own limitations and side effects. Further observing its prevalence there is a requirement for a treatment modality which is more efficient and cost-effective. Kshara which possesses lekhana (scrapping), vrana-shodhana (wound cleansing), and ropana (wound healing) properties as described in Ayurveda, provides a scientific background of the therapeutic application in the management. Different review works revealed the potential use of kshara on wound healing due to its alkalinity which maintain the body pH within the normal range and thus maintains different cellular and extracellular function. Therefore, kshara is found to be an important preparation that has been investigated for its gynecological uses by different scholars.","PeriodicalId":274343,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF ADVANCED APPLIED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH","volume":"200 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132464791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As precuneus is associated with episodic memory and is the reflexive self-awareness hub node, we consider precuneus as region-of-interest(ROI) for analysing AD.Objective:The main objective is find AD-caused alteration in nerve fibres, using diffusion tensor imaging(DTI) parameters like Mean Diffusivity(MD), Fractional Anisotropy(FA), and Nerve-tract Parameters, as number, length, volume, density, and thus, analyse the effect on precuneus by AD [when compared to normal subjects(CN)].Materials/Methods:Normals and Alzheimer’s subjects (n=50 each) were scanned with Siemens 3-tesla MRI-scanner. DTI parameters were estimated by DSI-FSL procedure, with statistical analysis usingt-test/ANOVA.Results:While ageing-process occurs in both AD and CN subjects, there is no change in “macro-structural” nerve fibre characteristics (e.g. Tract Indices: Number, density, volume, length). Contrastingly, there is significant alteration in “micro-structural” fibre characteristics, as increase in Mean Diffusivity(p=0.0006) and decrease in Fractional Anisotropy(p=0.0009) in Alzheimer's disease, when compared with normal subjects. Furthermore, comparing left-versus-right brain, Alzheimer’s patients (but not Normal subjects) show diminution in macro-structural nerve characteristics in left precuneus (compared to right precuneus): namely Tract’s number(p=0.0010), length(p=0.0107), volume(p=0.0225), density(p=0.0340).Conclusion:Under neurodegeneration, change in “micro-structural” nerve-fibre characteristics (Tract Indices), as opposed to “macro structural” fibre indices, can be hallmark for AD. Moreover, right precuneus is more protected in AD. Conversely, left precuneus has more neurodegeneration since its blood-flow is supplied by left common-carotid artery (unlike right common-carotid artery), this left artery arises directly from high-pressure aortic flow, transmitting turbulent hemodynamic stress to left precuneus.","PeriodicalId":274343,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF ADVANCED APPLIED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH","volume":"217 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122704043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Total phenolics content and radical scavenging activity of herbs (Hibiscus, Lemongrass, and Tinospora) and optimized tea were determined by the Folin–Ciocalteu method and percent of DPPH inhibition, respectively.The antibacterial activity of selected herbs and optimized tea were tested against three clinical isolates, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa using the modified agar disc diffusion method. The highest phenolic content and radical scavenging activity were observed in lemongrass, followed by hibiscus flower and tinospora stem. Although, the highest antibacterial activity was recorded by hibiscus flower against all tested pathogens, followed by lemongrass and tinospora. The sensory score of different treatments of herbal tea was analyzed by the Hedonic scale and treatment T2 (55:20:25) is found to be best followed by T1, T0, T3. The radical scavenging activity and antibacterial activity of herbal tea were found to be higher than in green tea. The herbal tea also exhibit significant antibacterial activity against common uropathogens E.coli (0.73mm),K.pneumoniae(0.5 mm) and P.aeruginosa (0.4 cm).  Therefore, the prepared herbal tea could be recommended for the prevention and treatment of urinary tract infection.","PeriodicalId":274343,"journal":{"name":"JOURNAL OF ADVANCED APPLIED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131502571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
