The studied case is located in Mae Sariang district, Mae Hong Son province which is a remote area. The main grid cannot supply sufficient active power to high consumption load in the system because there are high power losses occur in 22 kV transmission lines. This paper solves this problem with appropriated DGs selecting. There are 4 types of DGs such as diesel generator, solar system, hydro generator and battery storage in Mae Sariang MGs. This paper finds which type and number of DGs will supply minimum power losses while the system is in the grid-connected mode or island mode. System analysis used the DigSILENT Power Factory software. The study was a descriptive and experimental research. The effectiveness was divided into two main parts. First, the scores from individual work and group work were graded while studying in the course. Second, pre-test and post-test results were used to test the students' progress. The findings revealed interesting results. Although the start-up of pre-test mean scores in PBBL was lower than traditional class, the PBBL post-test scores were higher than traditional class students. Nevertheless, the mean scores of individual work in PBBL class were significantly higher than traditional class. Similarly, the mean scores of PBBL group work were slightly higher than traditional class. By using Kinect sensor, feature joint positions of human body can be tracked. After that the joint angles between each pair of joint vectors of adjacent joint positions are measured. When the user perform a series of posture representing a simple sentence of Lao sign language, the system records joint angles that is significantly changed from one posture to another posture. Feature joint angles stored in the database is used to recognition the testing sentence's posture. Here, we report an ecofriendly electroactive soft actuator based on porous carboxylated bacterial cellulose (CBC) membrane, thereby realizing large bending deformation, fast response, and excellent durability in open air environment. The porous CBC membrane was fabricated using the facile zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles particulate leaching (PL) method. The porous CBC actuator showed high actuation performances because of the enhanced electrochemical properties of CBC membranes. One of the useful resources in almost all smartphones is a MEMS-based accelerometer which can be used as a motion sensor. This paper considers its application in healthcare support especially as a posture-monitoring device for patients during rehabilitation period after undergoing hip arthroplasty. The accelerometer output can be used to estimate the hip joint angle when the smartphone position and orientation relative to human body is suitably arranged. The implementation procedure for this concept is explained here by the use of a single Android smartphone to detect the hip-joint angles that lead to improper postures and thus having risk of joint dislocation. The warning sound can then be given to the patient. In the experiments conducted, all angles measured were within the expected ranges and the warning sound was timely activated. It is an evidence that a single smartphone can be used as a convenient healthcare device for hip-joint angle detection. Electricity demand is significantly affected by non linear factors such as climatic condition, calendar and other seasonality have been widely reported in literature. This paper considers parsimonious forecasting models to explain the importance of meteorological parameters for the hourly electricity demand forecasting. Many researchers include only temperature as a major weather factor because it directly influences electricity demand, however other meteorological factors such as relative humidity, wind speed etc. are rarely included in literature. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of meteorological variability such as relative humidity, wind speed, solar radiation etc. for short term demand forecasting and analyzed it quantitatively. We demonstrate three different multiple linear models including auto-regressive moving average ARMA (2,6) models with and without some exogenous weather variables to compare the performances for Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan. Bicubic interpolation is used as an image expansion method. The 2×2 scale factor simplifies the bicubic interpolation formula to just division by two operations which enables an efficient hardware implementation. As a prototype version, the proposed architecture is implemented on a Xilinx Zynq board with a Zynq-7020 SoC. The location and size of the expanding area can be adjusted to capture the sign language images using its onboard push buttons. Experimental results show that the proposed implementation can be compatible with 1080p (1920×1080) 60 Hz HDMI video source. Several papers have been examined design methods for simultaneous stabilizing controllers. However, no paper examines a design method for simultaneous stabilizing controllers which has robust servo characteristic for the step signal. Therefore, using the simultaneous stabilizing controller which is designed by previously proposed method, the output of the control system cannot follow the step reference input without steady state error when the plant has uncertainty. Moreover, the influence of the step disturbance cannot be attenuated. In this paper, we propose a design method for simultaneous stabilizing controllers which has robust servo characteristic for the step signal. They can simultaneously stabilize a pair of unstable plants having no common unstable poles. In order to solve this problem, we use the relationship between the simultaneous stabilization and the strong stabilization. Then this problem can be reduced to the strongly stabilization problem with interpolation problem.
