A multitude of natural and manmade events can generate physiological fasciation. Insect assault, mechanical pressure and/or tension during growth in some species such as asparagus and liana species, and sowing time and density are all-natural environmental influences. One of the original seven Mendelian pairs of traits was the fasciated variety of Pisumsativum L. (formerly known as P. umbellatum; Synonyms: mummy pea, crown pea, poisturk, poiscoronne). In many species, it is genetically determined. FASCIATA is the name of the gene that causes fasciation to occur (FA). Because of the great level of control over the plant material and growth circumstances that in vitro produced fasciated plants provide, they can be useful models for investigating the causes and development of fasciation.","PeriodicalId":273863,"journal":{"name":"Science Archives","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117010854","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Station, ARC to determine the effect of two tillage systems, i.e. shallow and subsoiling tillage as well as three gypsum levels (0.0, 4.76, and 9.52 t/ha) and four farmyard manure (FYM) levels (0.0, 11.9, 23.8, and 35.7 m/ha) on the properties of moderately sodic soil and wheat growth. The results reveal that subsoiling tillage improved soil bulk density, total porosity, and soil fertility while increasing gypsum and FYM levels had a positive effect on soil reaction, soil organic matter, total porosity, soil available N, P, and K as well as wheat vegetative growth namely, plant height, number of spikes/m, number of grains/spike and 1000-grain weight. In contrast, soil salinity was increased by increasing FYM levels. The highest values of wheat growth parameters were achieved under the treatment of 9.52 t/ha gypsum combined with 35.7 m/ha FYM under subsoiling tillage. From these results, it could be recommended to use subsoiling tillage and add 9.52 t/ha gypsum and 35.7 m/ha FYM to improve the moderately sodic soil as well as enhance wheat growth.","PeriodicalId":273863,"journal":{"name":"Science Archives","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121855652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At that time, some scientists tried to treat cancer, and some tried to find out the reason(s) behind the occurrence of cancer, and they put up many hypotheses. Nowadays, with all progression in medical technology and diagnostic methods, the causes of cancer remain unclear. But the causes of cancer can be an interaction between a person’s genetic factors and external carcinogens factors that can be divided into physical, chemical, and biological carcinogens. In this review, the risk factors of cancer were discussed.","PeriodicalId":273863,"journal":{"name":"Science Archives","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127608246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The antioxidant properties of ethyl acetate extract of TA bark were established by DPPH radical scavenging activity, reducing power, H2O2 scavenging activity, scavenging activity of hydroxyl radical, superoxide radical, and nitric oxide radical. This present study also showed the protective effects of ethyl acetate extract against copper-ascorbate-induced oxidative stress in rat liver mitochondria in vitro. The ethyl acetate extract of TA barkaltered the content of reduced glutathione (GSH), levels of lipid-peroxidation (LPO), and protein carbonylation (PCO) (P<0.001) against copper-ascorbate treated rat liver mitochondria, in vitro. Thus, the results indicate that the ethyl acetate extract of TA bark can be considered as a therapeutic agent in the future.","PeriodicalId":273863,"journal":{"name":"Science Archives","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117250568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The areas in which the activity of drug dealers will spread and according to the ratio between the numbers of drug dealers to the population of Baghdad, which is 8500 million, was reached. The highest value was from 119 to 202 in the areas of Dora, Bab Al-Sharqi, Bab Al-Muadham, Al-Shaab and Al-Husseiniya areas. As for the rest of the areas, they varied with less severity, ranging in value from 12.1 to 118. As for the ratio between the areas registered with the activity of drug dealers to the area of the city of Baghdad. Our study predicted the highest value from 13.46 to 23.07, the expected areas were Al-Sadr City, New Baghdad and Bab Al-Muadham, while the rest of the values ranged between 1.413 to 13.45, and they are subject to several factors for reasons of spread or not according to the programs set to reduce drug trafficking.","PeriodicalId":273863,"journal":{"name":"Science Archives","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132542027","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The bacterium in periodontitis is Streptococcus sanguinis and attaches to the teeth and enters the bloodstream, causing inflammation of the walls of blood vessels. After inflammation occurs in the blood vessels, atherosclerosis will occur and then a stroke can occur. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge about periodontal disease and dental and oral hygiene status (OHI-S) to periodontal disease. Analytic observational research with cross-sectional design. The study was carried out on patients from the Dental Polyclinic of the Community Health Center, in the Sleman Regency area. The research sample was taken using a proportional random sampling technique, as many as 250 people. The independent variable in this study was knowledge of periodontal disease and OHI-S while the dependent variable was periodontal disease. Collecting data using a questionnaire, examination of the OHI-S index, and the Community Periodontal Index (CPI). Data analysis using Chi-Square. Knowledge of periodontal disease against periodontal disease showed that the p-value was 0.000 (p <0.05) and the OHI-S index for the periodontal disease had a p-value of 0.038 (p <0.05). There is a significant relationship between knowledge about periodontal disease and OHI-S to periodontal disease.","PeriodicalId":273863,"journal":{"name":"Science Archives","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121360019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
