Both networks do not work with explicitly computed disparity, but extract the vergence control signal from the postprocessed response of a population of disparity tuned complex cells, the actual gaze direction and the actual vergence angle. IEEE 802.22 defines constraints on conceivable spectrum sensing techniques. In order to fulfill theses constraints on the required detection probability and allowed false alarm probability, the signal sensing requires a certain sensing time period and an appropriately adjusted decision threshold. This manuscript presents a novel dynamic spectrum sensing scheme which is based on soft outputs. The paper reports the complete results of bioactivity test of glass-ceramics in static regime. XRD, SEM, and microprobe analysis were used to characterise the sample as well as to detect the presence of new phase onto the surface. The bioactivity, as demonstrated by the formation of new apatite layer, depends on P2O5 content. In static regime, the layer of hydroxyapatite develops by periodical deposition of spherical apatite bullet. Specifically, the Pearson type VII distribution is used to derive a closed-form expression for the BER in an LTE uplink system over a Rayleigh fading channel. ECDs possess many nice properties similar to those of multivariate normal distributions and allow analyzing scenarios where gaussianity assumption no longer applies. Based on the knowledge of these distributions, the stochastic nature of enhanced noise, which appears when zero-forcing equalization is applied, in a SC-FDMA system was studied. The main goal of this study was to determine the features from the Raman spectral data associated with skin xerosis and finally detecting Xerosis from normal skin by using an optimal classification method. The Raman spectral dataset was constructed from two classes of spectral data, 70 spectra of normal intact skin and 70 spectra of irritated rough skin. Roughness irritation was done by sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) non-ionic surfactant applied once a day on rat skin within a week. The spectra were obtained from two rats from legs and dorsal anatomical regions. Some features related to specific bond vibrations of water, lipid and protein structures were extracted from the spectra. T-test statistical analysis was then utilized to determine if the specified feature could discriminate the two classes of spectral data. The reported efficient features from t-test stage were then applied to well-known classification methods such as LDA and KNN for classification. Classification performance was calculated using k-fold cross validation method for selecting the optimum classifier and features. The statistical analysis of water content and lipid structures between two classes showed a significant difference by p-value<<0.1, whereas alterations in features related to proteins were not remarkable between two classes of data. These results suggest that water content and lipid structures are the proper features for skin roughness detection. During 88 relaxation sessions of 8 subjects, 6-channel EEG data of 3-minute duration were recorded. EEG features of rest were obtained in a form of linear regression trends. On the contrary to general expectations, during resting conditions of 3-minute sessions in lying position with eyes closed, relative alpha-1 powers were decreasing, followed by increase in theta-1 and decrease in total powers over the whole cortex. EEG features derived from linear regression model were selected according their ability to discern between subjectively more and less successful relaxation. More successful relaxation was characterized mainly by lower delta-1 powers across the cortex. The provision of the anticipated high data rate services requires a highly accurate synchronization and frequency acquisition and tracking. Setting out from the procedure defined by the DVB-T2 implementation guidelines provided by the DVB-T2 standardization community, the authors have developed a modified, thus novel and yet implementation-friendly synchronization algorithm which is proposed in this manuscript. We begin by reviewing a result which allows for evaluation of the growth rate of the weight distribution for codewords of any weight (linear in the codeword length). We then show how asymptotic analysis of this general result can lead to a result which encapsulates the behaviour of the growth rate of the weight distribution for the case of small linear-weight codewords.
