The ultimate objective of mindfulness is to make it easier to stay engaged in the present without overestimating it. This program intends to provide mindfulness training in an effort to improve the volunteers' psychological well-being throughout disasters. Focused Group Discussions, education, and training are all used as community empowerment techniques in this work. The 20 BPBD disaster volunteers from the West Sulawesi Province are the target. Activities to enhance the psychological well-being of disaster volunteers can increase knowledge by 53% while also improving the psychological well-being of volunteers by giving education and mindfulness training. For both disaster volunteers and society, mindfulness training could be an important supplement to the disaster training curriculum.","PeriodicalId":271927,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pengabdian Ilmu Kesehatan","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139322745","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Breastfeeding for babies is very important, especially in the early period of life, therefore it is enough for babies to be exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months without adding or replacing it with other foods or drinks . Working mothers are one of the reasons for not giving exclusive breastfeeding. After the maternity leave is over, many working mothers provide their babies with formula milk. One of the solutions that can be given is express breastfeeding to working mothers so that they can continue to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Expressing breast milk is one of the success factors of exclusive breastfeeding. Working mothers who have skills in expressing and storing breast milk will be more successful . This Community Service activity was carried out at the Indofood Factory in the Makassar City Region with a sample of Breastfeeding Mothers. Paired Samples Test was performed The results obtained were that there was an increase in knowledge from the average value of the pre-test questionnaire, the correct answer value was 6.8 after counseling was changed to 8.0 with a value of ρ = 0.000 which means there was an increase in understanding knowledge, benefits and how to do milking techniques, how to store and serve breast milk Milking the baby as well as knowledge about how to care for the breast.","PeriodicalId":271927,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pengabdian Ilmu Kesehatan","volume":"79 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139349080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Children experience complex physical growth and mental development. The child's reaction and adaptation to environmental stimuli occurs quickly. However, at this time it is also prone to health problems including problems with malnutrition, stunting, obesity problems, respiratory and digestive tract infections, delays in speech development, and emotional problems. Therefore, education for parents to optimize early childhood health is urgently needed. This community service program aims to increase parental knowledge in improving early childhood health. This program was implemented in January 2023 with 25 parents attending the meeting. The method used in this activity is to provide education to parents by carrying out pre-test and post-test. The target of community service is all parents (mothers) who have early childhood children. Mothers have an average age of 32.72 years with an age variation of 4.89, the minimum age is 26 years and the oldest is 42 years. Most of them are housewives (68%) with the most education being high school or vocational school graduates, namely 40%. Providing education about optimizing early childhood health resulted in an average increase in mother's knowledge of 0.76 or the equivalent of 5.06%. These results indicate an increase in parental knowledge in improving early childhood health. This is expected to increase the capacity of parents in optimizing their child health.","PeriodicalId":271927,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pengabdian Ilmu Kesehatan","volume":"135 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139349797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore parents should pay attention to nutritious food in children. Carbohydrates, proteins and fats are macro-nutrients that need to be balanced every day. Nutritional problems in children are still a problem in Indonesia, such as thin children, stunting and anemia. Malnutrition will have an impact on the productivity and quality of life of children in the future. Data from the Kuta Baro Health Center showed that there were 22 children with malnutrition status. The purpose of community service is to increase mothers' knowledge and skills in serving and choosing healthy snacks for children. The service method is carried out through health education about nutritional needs and healthy snacks for school-age children as an effort to increase mothers' understanding of nutritional needs. The results showed that the participants were enthusiastic in participating in counseling and demonstrating choosing healthy snacks, indicated by the number of questions from the participants. After this service activity, it is hoped that parents can continue to provide nutritious food and children can choose healthy snacks so that together they can prevent children from being malnourished from an early age.","PeriodicalId":271927,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pengabdian Ilmu Kesehatan","volume":"162 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139350004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We designed community service-based study to increase first person on scene in Malang through increasing the knowledge of the first person on scene about managing the first aid in road traffic accident. The method applied in this activity is training with pre-test and the first post-test about first aid. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, and a paired t-test was performed to test the pre-test and post-test data. The total participants who participated in this activity were 40 people.
