The problem associated with this is that often the given objects don't match with the student's learning style. In this article is presented the development of a platform for learning objects recommendation based on learning styles. The platform was developed specifically for programming fundamentals. The main result is the development of a platform that allows assesst student's learning style, recommend learning objects according to their preferred style and gives the teacher the options to manage resources and view the behavior of their course (distribution of learning styles and progress in the subject content).","PeriodicalId":271823,"journal":{"name":"2016 XI Latin American Conference on Learning Objects and Technology (LACLO)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123311839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several authors raise doubts about whether these software products offer quality training, being necessary to establish instruments that certify their characteristics or guide how to approach optimization to ensure success and consolidation of this type of e-learning. This project proposes the construction of a software quality model or QM for MOOC, designed with the Individual Quality Model Construction or IQMC and the quality characteristics proposed in the catalog of ISO/IEC 25010. A set of sub characteristics, properties and quality measures will be established with the model, this QM will be an instrument or artifact to facilitate a systematic and practical evaluation with the selection of those characteristics that are considered relevant and consistent for scope and requirements of the evaluator, developer or end user.","PeriodicalId":271823,"journal":{"name":"2016 XI Latin American Conference on Learning Objects and Technology (LACLO)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129573915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of this tool by EaD managers allows faults to be corrected during the process of teaching and learning and helps the decisions to be taken concerning the people related to the process in reference to teachers, tutors that should be reliable and assertive, as they are an integral and very important part of this process of teaching and learning.","PeriodicalId":271823,"journal":{"name":"2016 XI Latin American Conference on Learning Objects and Technology (LACLO)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131085494","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of these educational resources has been conditioned to a specific number of barriers and factors from different nature, being the conceptual and pedagogical, one of the most important, in which, the teacher training plays a decisive role. In this paper a set of strategies adopted in the context of Ecuadorian universities, for the generation and publication of digital educational materials under the paradigm of learning objects are presented. To achieve this goal, we have developed a methodology, developed and implemented a specialized repository, carried out a specialized training related with learning objetcs creation and accomplished a national competition.
