The study drew participant from the hospitality industry with a special focus on Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC). A sample size of one hundred and twenty-eight (128) staff were selected with the aid of convenience sampling technique. The data were then presented in simple percentage frequency table while the hypotheses were tested using correlation co-efficient and OLS with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS, version 23). The research findings show that there is a significant relationship between distributive justice and organizational commitment. Also there is a significant relationship between procedural justice and organizational commitment. Furthermore, informational justice does not significantly affect employee trust in management. Therefore, it is recommended that Procedural justice can be fostered further through employee involvement which gives them a voice during a decision-making process, influence over the outcome or by adherence to fair process criteria, such as consistency, lack of bias, correctability, representation, accuracy, and ethicality. And also that employers should have and put into practice organizational justice in dealing with their employees so as to bring about committed employees who will eventually see to the survival of the organization through improved performance.","PeriodicalId":270657,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Operational Research in Management, Social Sciences, and Education","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114597849","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The movement of education from primitive society to organic society had been a very beautiful transition in the history of human civilization. The study adopted the fundamental right of girl education in Nigeria, which had been a policy established by government (education for all). The study had technically, observed that girls child education in Nigeria was associated with number of socio-economic and political challenges faced by women in Nigeria, indeed Sokoto State. In order to achieve this epistemological task among government, stakeholders, spiritual and community leaders, indeed parents, vital awareness is needed particularly, from the family level. The study utilized and highlighted secondary information to ensure adequate and valid data. The study therefore, introduced, and assessed governmental policy such as National Gender Policy in Basic Education that’ served as response to the challenges of achieving gender equality in education, as expressed in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which states that access to quality education is the right of every Nigerian child male or female. The findings, therefore, revealed that, the possible actions Taken by the parents, government, traditional rulers, spiritual leaders, communality elders and stakeholders where very weak. The attainment of gender equality is not only seen as an end in itself, being a human rights issue, but is also a prerequisite for the achievement of national and international sustainable women education in the 21st century, targeting Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) before the year 2020. It is a descriptive study in which a survey research design is employed. The population for this study was 256 pupils (105 males and 151 females). One research question and one hypothesis was stated and analyzed. Achievement Test Questionnaire (ATQ) was the instrument used for data collection. Mean and Standard Deviations were used to answer research question while hypothesis was analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The finding revealed a significant difference between the mean Basic Science achievement scores of male and female pupils taught by teachers trained under SDG and those not trained under SDG in Sokoto State. It could be concluded that SDGs teachers retraining programme is an important exercise for teacher professional development and pupil academic achievement in Basic Science with respect to gender.. It is therefore recommendation that government, NGOs and other stakeholders in education should lay emphasis on pedagogical skills assessment and follow-up evaluation after the training to ensure effective and efficient implementation and achievement the goal 4 of SDG before the expiration time.","PeriodicalId":270657,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Operational Research in Management, Social Sciences, and Education","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122058718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With a careful review of these tripod views on the development challenges of the African Continent, the paper argues that both Europe and Africans are to be blamed for the problem of development in Africa as each of the perspectives is found culpable as they fail in their efforts to exhaustively advance a holistic cause and effect analysis of the Africa’s development story. In one way or the other, the attempts to advance their views and justify their stands from the lenses of their propositions, was not completely successful. This is why the paper concludes that, understanding the issue of development in Africa is to synthesize the arguments of these contending views. The paper calls on Africans to rise to the occasion to restore the glory of Africa through perseverance, hard work and reaffirmation of the uniqueness of Africa as a continent, and thus, the need to look inward and reexamine the ways of life of the people as Africans, and with this sense of Africanness, tackle head-on the challenges affecting the continent and reposition it for the greater good of the people.","PeriodicalId":270657,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Operational Research in Management, Social Sciences, and Education","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131009876","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Private universities in Nigeria have been experiencing low students’ enrolment in B.Sc. marketing program. This could be attributed to little or non-incorporation of some marketing factors by the education providers on the importance of marketing as a course and the vital role it plays in industries as awareness creator. The study examines the effect of marketing orientation and service quality on student retention and satisfaction in B.Sc. Marketing degree programs at Babcock University Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State Nigeria. Theoretical approach was adopted for the study by the employment of expo-facto research design method hence; the researcher collected updated historical data on students’ enrolment into the program of B.Sc. Marketing degree as well as other cognate courses for comparison purposes from the registry of Babcock University as well as confirmatory data from Covenant University. The study from literature established that Service quality and market orientation have significant effect on student satisfaction and retention for B.Sc. Marketing degree programs in Babcock University. The study among others, recommended that Babcock University and other private universities in Nigeria must deliver quality services through impeccable market orientation and introduce career fairs that help outline their perception of the marketing course as multifaceted, and diverse, in a way that reflects aggressive management function that aims to achieving organizational growth and sustainability. Fiscal discipline is the application of fiscal rules to achieve deficit reduction and long-term fiscal consolidation. The aim of the study was to examine the impact of fiscal discipline on Plateau state government expenditure and to determine, given the existence of fiscal discipline, if a significant relationship exists between state government expenditure and the following demographic and economic variables: disposable income, population density, inter-governmental revenue, retirement benefit expenditure, and capital expenditure. State government expenditure, if properly deployed, should lead to expansion of public goods and services and the attainment of economic growth and development. The study made use of secondary data which were collected from Plateau State Ministry of Finance and the National Population Commission Jos. The data were analysed using the linear ordinary least square regression analysis. The result shows that state government expenditure has a significant positive relationship with disposable income, intergovernmental revenue and retirement benefit expenditure, a significant negative relationship with population density and capital expenditure. It was concluded that (i) state government expenditure is not geared towards the expansion of public goods and services that will enhance growth and development (ii) economies of scale in the production and provision of government services is yet to be attained and (iii) state government expenditure is incurred in order to implement possible fiscal discipline mechanisms of balanced-budget or deficit reduction. The study recommends that fiscal discipline mechanisms should be implemented only to the extent that the decision does not constrain expenditure on public goods and services that may result in growth and development","PeriodicalId":270657,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Operational Research in Management, Social Sciences, and Education","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127106247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most developing countries Nigeria in particular is battling with these problems. This study examines the nexus between unemployment, inflation and economic growth in Nigeria from 1981 to 2020. Diagnostic test was conducted to ascertain the behavior of the series. The Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) and Philips Perron (PP) test results are reported. Based on the test, the variables in the model are of mixed order of integration i.e., two of the variables are I(1) and one is I(0) . The Autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) bound co-integration test was conducted to check for possible long run relationship. It was found that there is a long-run relationship in the model. Thus, the ARDL ECM was used for the estimation. Results from the ARDL estimation reveal that the Error Correction Mechanism (ECM) has the expected negative sign with a high speed of adjustment of 71% back to equilibrium; there is a long-run negative relationship between unemployment and economic growth in Nigeria over the period of study; there is a long-run negative relationship between inflation and economic growth in Nigeria over the period of study. Based on these findings, this paper recommended that the government of Nigeria should spend more money on training and skill acquisition in order to combat unemployment. More so, excessive and galloping rise on the prices of goods and services in Nigeria should be control.","PeriodicalId":270657,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Operational Research in Management, Social Sciences, and Education","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116957481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With aid to Africa being a major discussion topic of the Gleneagles Summit and focus of the mid-term evaluation of the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals (MGDs) on Africa, international attention has been turned to the serious issues of poverty, communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, and conflicts faced by Sub-Saharan African nations. From the standpoint of area studies, whose goal is the understanding of others, the increased attention on and increased newspaper and television coverage of Africa is seen as a positive development. However, given the focus of coverage on disasters, it is important to recognize that such narrow coverage can potentially lead to one-dimensional stereotyping of the region. This paper is a short economic review designed to assess certain challenges affecting African politics.","PeriodicalId":270657,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Operational Research in Management, Social Sciences, and Education","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125247286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
