This study aims to describe: (1) physical environmental conditions around SMP Negeri 3 Jorong Tanah Laut Regency; (2) utilization of the physical environment around the school as a learning resource Social Studies students of SMP Negeri 3 Jorong Tanah Laut District. The research method used is descriptive with qualitative approach. Source of data obtained from informants, images, photos, documents, field notes and writings. Data collection is done by direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. To obtain data validity using data/source triangulation and method triagulation. Analytical techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (1) Around the junior high school 3 Jorong school there are various sources of learning that can be utilized for teaching and learning activities. Some places or physical environmental conditions around SMP Negeri 3 Jorong that can be extracted and used to be used as a source of learning Social Studies such as agricultural land/rice fields, oil palm plantation, rubber plantation, rejo village office, poskesdes. (2) The utilization of the physical environment around the school as a learning resource can be pursued by conducting learning activities outside the classroom by bringing students directly to the learning resource environment. Learning by utilizing the physical environment around the school as a source of learning also leads to changes in student outcomes, there is an increase in value after students learn directly to the source and observe objects to the field.Keywords: Physical Environment, learning resources of Social Studies AbstrakPemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar dalam proses belajar mengajar IPS di sekolah sangat penting, karena lingkungan sangat kaya informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kondisi lingkungan fisik di sekitar SMP Negeri 3 Jorong Kabupaten Tanah Laut; (2) pemanfaatan lingkungan fisik di sekitar sekolah sebagai sumber belajar IPS siswa SMP Negeri 3 Jorong Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh dari informan, gambar, foto, dokumen, catatan lapangan serta tulisan-tulisan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Guna memperoleh validitas data menggunakan triangulasi data/sumber dan triagulasi metode. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. This study aims to describe the skills of making Sasirangan fabric in SMP Terbuka 02 Kuin Utara Banjarmasin. The research method used is qualitative research method with data collection technique through interview, observation, and document study. Sources of data obtained from interviews with sources namely Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers Council, Skill Development Teachers, and students of SMP Terbuka 02 Kuin Utara Banjarmasin. The data were also obtained from observation of Sasirangan fabrication process and document study. The results showed that the skill of making Sasirangan cloth at SMP Terbuka 02 Kuin Utara Banjarmasin is a skill education in the framework of self-development of students as the provision of independent living. Skills of making Sasirangan Cloth in SMP Terbuka 02 Kuin Utara Banjarmasin is relevant a learning social studies material.Keywords: Sasirangan, learning resources, social studies. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Sumber data yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan informan yaitu kepala sekolah, wakasek, dewan guru, guru bina keterampilan, dan siswa SMP Terbuka 02 Kuin Utara Banjarmasin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan membuat kain Sasirangan di SMP Terbuka 02 Kuin Utara Banjarmasin merupakan pendidikan keterampilan dalam rangka perkembangan diri siswa sebagai bekal hidup mandiri. Analyzing Portrait of Life of WarungLanting Traders in Daha Subdistrict of HSS Regency. (2) Analyzing Social Interaction of Warung Lanting in Daha Sub-district, HSS District. This research uses qualitative method. The data source was chosen by purposive sampling. Data collection with observation techniques, interviews, documentation.Testing the validity of data researchers using data triangulation, ie triangulation of sources and time trianggulasi and use extension of observation.The result of this research is life of warung lanting can be seen from physical condition and function of shop of warung lanting include owner's name, building size, origin, business type, age of building, stall status, shape and duration of business in Daha Subdistrict which make lanting stall by forwarding river as place of business. The identity of the lanting stall owner is the owner's name, owner's age, education level, occupation, number of family members, other home ownership and buying and selling process. Penelitian ini bertujua menganalisis Kehidupan Pedagang Warung Lanting di Kecamatan Daha Kabupaten HSS. (2) Menganalisis Interaksi Sosial Warung Lanting di Kecamatan Daha Kabupaten HSS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Sumber data dipilih secara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Pengujian keabsahan data peneliti menggunakan trianggulasi data, yaitu trianggulasi sumber dan trianggulasi waktu serta menggunakan perpanjangan pengamatan. Definitive behavioral changes begin with positive values of education. Values are considered as one of the factors that support a person's behavior to act good or bad, right or wrong. The value of the character must be developed during the learning process, one way of developing can be through traditional games. Traditional games are more fun and well liked by learners making it easier to instill values that can make good behavior. Traditional Banjar 'bahagaan' games are considered to foster character values in education through social studies learning resources. The aim of the study was to describe Banjar 'bahagaan' traditional game, explaining the stages of traditional Banjar 'bahagaan' game and describes the traditional Banjar 'bahagaan' game values as learning resources for social studies. The research method used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used observation, interview and documentation study. The result of the research is the value obtained from the traditional game Banjar 'bahagaan' is the students can describe the traditional game Banjar 'bahagaan' and explain the stages of the game in detail and complete then learners are able to show the cooperation, togetherness and friendship that gave rise to the values self-esteem that can be a source of social studies learning that is religious value, honest value, tolerance value, discipline value, hard work value, democratic value, spirit value, the value of responsibility and the value of curiosity. This study aims to: 1) Analyze the behavior carried out by the Kuin Selatan Urban Communities who live in the Kuin River Basin in household waste disposal activities, 2) Analyze the factors that influence the attitude and behavior of the people of Kuin Selatan Village who live by the Kuin River in removing household waste.This study used descriptive qualitative method with the number of respondents as many as 9 people, key respondents 1 person and respondents support 8 people and then held in-depth interviews to the respondents to get complete information. This study will examine the behavior of people who dump their settlements to the banks of the Kuin river and examine the factors that influence the attitudes and behavior of residents to waste disposal activity, the position of the Kuin River area is located in the Village of South Kuin, West Banjarmasin Subdistrict. Other problems found during the study were the TPS that did not exist in the South Kuin District area, throwing the waste directly into the Kuin river. The results of this research are: 1) The behavior done by the Kuin Selatan Urban Village living on the banks of the Kuin River in household waste disposal activities can be known from the aspect of waste generation, waste collection, garbage transport, and destruction of waste, 2) comes from three aspects: physical (environmental), social, and cultural aspects. The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts of supervisors in development of social studies teacher is profesionalism in MIN Banjarmasin and the factors that influence it. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. Data are obtained through interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) Supervisors efforts in fostering social studies teacher profesionalsm in MIN Banjarmasin based on programs that were prepared with other supervisors. Coaching efforts are still focused on class visits, interviews and meetings by using a collaborative approach. Upaya pembinaan masih terfokus kepada kunjungan kelas, wawancara dan rapat dengan menggunakan pendekatan kolaboratif. This research is a Classroom Action Research with Suharsimi Arikanto model. Subject researched is a class VIIA students who numbered 30 students. The object of this research is the skill of discussion through audiovisual media on IPS learning. Data collection techniques were conducted using observation sheets, interviews, test questions, and field notes. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results show that the skills of discussion through audiovisual media on IPS learning can improve learning outcomes. the results of the evaluation test in cycle I shows there are still 10 students or 34% of students have not finished on learning IPS while learning completeness in cycle I there are 20 students or 67%, so the success indicator has not been achieved because of the completeness of classical learning must be achieved at least is 70%. The results of the evaluation test in cycle II indicate that the average test result has increased compared to cycle I. The average score reached 79.3 and the number of students who complete the study also experienced an increase from 20 to 25 from 30 students or about 83% . The criteria of the success rate of students in cycle II is in the high category. The data shows that the learning outcomes in cycle II has reached the indicator that is determined that the minimum completeness of 70% of students have met the purposed so that the process of learning skill discussing through the audiovisual media is successful.Keywords: Discussions, Audiovisual Media, IPS Learning AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendskipsikan proses pembelajaran IPS menggunakan meningkatkan keteramplan berdiskusi melaui media audiovisual dalam pembelajaran IPS pada Siswa Kelas VIIA MTs.Mathla’ul Anwar Rantau Bujur Hilir Kecamatan Sungai Tabukan Kab.HSU. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model Suharsimi Arikanto. Subjek penelitaiannya adalah siswa kelas VIIA yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Objek penelitiana ini adalah keterampilan berdiskusi melalui media audiovisual pada pembelajaran IPS. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara, soaltes, dan catatan lapangan.Data dianalisis secara diskriptif kualitatif.Hasil menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berdiskusi melalui media audiovisual pada pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar.Hasil tesevaluasipada siklus I menunjukkan masih ada 10 siswa atau 34% siswa belum tuntas pada pembelajaran IPS sedangkan ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I ada 20 siswa atau 67%, sehingga indikator keberhasilannya belum tercapai karena ketuntasan belajar klasikal yang harus dicapai minimal adalah 70%.Hasil tes evaluasi pada siklus II menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil tes mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan dengan siklus I. The research method is regresional method. The variable are students’ knowledge, performance, and entrepreneurship attitude. The number of subject is 78 students that belong to social science class in the academic year 2012-2013. The data collection are gained through proficiency test, performance assessment, and questionnaire. The data are analyzed quantitatively. The result of this study shows that there are positive and significant influences on students’ entrepreneurship knowledge (X1) and performance (X2) toward their entrepreneurship attitudes (Y). This result is classified into medium category. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 2 Kandangan Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode regresional. Variabel yang diuji adalah variable Pengetahuan, Kinerja , dan Sikap Kewirausahaan. Subyek penelitian adalah peserta didik program studi IPS tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 berjumlah 78 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui tes pengetahuan, penilaian kinerja, dan kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari pengetahuan kewirausahaan (X1) dan kinerja peserta didik (X2) terhadap sikap kewirausahaan (Y).
