Extensive research has been conducted at home and abroad on the translation of tourist texts. However, due to the differences in domestic and foreign tourists’ cultural backgrounds and the unique characteristics of revolutionary tourist texts, there is less research on the Chinese-English translation of revolutionary tourist texts. Thematic analysis revealed the participants’ understanding of idol worship from three aspects: the way of idol worship, the role model of idols and the significance of idol worship. Three main factors that influenced participants to become idol worshipers were found: the need of self-development and the personal characteristics of idols. In addition, the themes that appeared to describe the influence of idol worship perceived by participants included emotions, life goals, spiritual support, personality, behavior and relationships with others. Generally, college students do not think there is a negative impact of their worship experiences. Therefore, recognising the significant role of women, Malaysia is committed in achieving gender equality and promoting the rights of women and girls. This paper deals with the socioeconomic status of Malaysian women. It provides an analysis of the views of jurists regarding gender equality and recent trends of the female labour force participation, the areas where the female labour force is concentrated at present, and gender differentials in many ways, and it makes recommendations to improve women’s status. The study, by using survey scales and interview and data collected from randomly selected 40 participants, addresses the question what are the factors contributing to dialect maintenance of students on the individual, familial, school and community level. It was concluded that there is a series of factors that correlate with students’ dialect use and maintenance from internal and external point of view, which considers four different levels: Individual, family, school and community. Although it is widely accepted that incentives, in general, play a positive role in increasing participation rate and are widely used, there are exceptions that they may not increase response rate and may even contaminate the quality of data resulting in poor research findings. This study examines the impact of pre- and post-disclosed committed lottery incentives on response rate and data quality in a face-to-face survey of conventional consumers for organic food consumption. A survey was conducted at the premises of four conventional grocery stores in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Half of the randomly approached and agreed upon respondents were disclosed the lottery incentives at the beginning, and the rest half were told at the end. Data quality was measured using three indicators – edit occurrences, imputation occurrences, and proportion of incomplete answers. Our study finds little difference in response rate between pre- and post-disclosed committed lottery payments. However, the useability of incomplete questionnaires among post-disclosed lottery was significantly higher than those of pre-disclosed. This paper discusses the rationality of integrating appraisal theory and proximization theory from four aspects, that is, value orientation, epistemological basis, analysis of meaning, complementarity. The author argues that the two theories can complement each other and try to establish an analytical framework to point out the possibility for uniting two theories. At the same time, the analysis of the diachronic and synchronic social and cultural contexts from the historical discourse analysis is added to promote the historical gravitas of this study. In the present study, 14 items from the Resilience Scale–R25, developed by Wagnild and Young (1993), were adapted in Hindi language in the Indian context. A total 1000 adolescent students from different Hindi speaking states of India responded to the R14 scale. To test the factorial structure of the R14, an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and a Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were performed, and the internal consistency of the scale was studied. The results supported scale multidimensionality. The obtained Cronbach’s alpha revealed good internal consistency with a value of .78. The focuses of all these studies can be divided into the analysis on the theme, personalities of male and female characters, the reason of the tragedy and so on. In this essay, many evidences and interpretations will be provided to illustrate Hamlet as a “Wonder” in this play. The word “Wonder” is first put forward by Stephen Greenblatt in his essay titled, “Resonance and Wonder”. This article will mainly focus on the interpretation of the wonders in Hamlet’s lines addressed to these three male characters, Claudius the King, Polonius, Hamlet’s only trusted friend Horatio and his school fellows Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. All those wonders will be divided into three categories, the discussion on dualism, individualism and the disorder of the time, which as a whole will present Hamlet as a role leading reader to wonder and to resonate.
