Digital filters and other devices have multiplication as the primary operation. The overall fastness of any application is dominated by the speed of multiplication. It is also necessary to decrease the delay and complexity of the circuit. In this work, the primary objective is to design efficient multiplication architecture for logarithmic operation. The efficiency is quantified by the amount of delay incurred. It is compared with Improved Operand decomposition (IOD) technique. The entire work is simulated in Modelsim 10.4a. Accuracy of the proposed technique is computed using Python. Synthesis is performed using Vivado2014.4. The hardware targeted is Basys-3Artix-7 Board. The proposed design yields 11.18% less delay than the IOD technique.","PeriodicalId":267795,"journal":{"name":"2020 4th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)(48184)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124237473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper discusses two neural network techniques applied towards ranking in document-based search systems on two distinct scales: semantic similarity and relevance factor. Semantic similarity focuses on retrieving most contextually similar documents based on a query. Experiments using a semantic approach provides information about how well the system can identify word order. Also, in ideal conditions, the performance was better than traditional benchmark ranking models. The relevance factor focuses on building a neural model based on kernel pooling to work for soft match signals. Experiments are conducted using neural models like K-NRM, Pre-trained embedding models, etc, to prove how their ranking efficiency is better than other traditional models like BM25, RankSVM, DRMM.","PeriodicalId":267795,"journal":{"name":"2020 4th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)(48184)","volume":"48 19","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120821442","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is small in size, light in weight, and also affordable. This system can complete the process of purification within a shorter period. The sediments, minute particles, and even the odour are removed using an activated carbon filter. The bacteria, including the smallest microorganisms and even all forms of chemicals, are expelled using a nanofiber material. The water then undergoes the process of Solar distillation for further purification, where the water is heated in a Solar chamber and is then condensed. The last stage is UV sterilization of the water, thereby fulfilling its purpose for drinking. This device is easily accessible by the ordinary villagers. It is very helpful, even during situations causing disasters like floods, and drought. This system uses a different type of technology, that is, activated carbon filters that have emerged from the charcoal, and also a thin nanofiber membrane emerged from the advanced Nano-technology. This device is a portable system, that is it can be transported to any other place without the need for any external help.","PeriodicalId":267795,"journal":{"name":"2020 4th International Conference on Trends in Electronics and Informatics (ICOEI)(48184)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133517226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
