This approach has been proposed to respond to some limitations of existing QoS evaluation approaches such as they do not cover all aspects of the evaluation process, lack of flexibility and they provide a little guidance to the evaluators on how to conduct this process. The proposed approach guides the on-the-fly construction of new evaluation methods based on existing evaluation method components. These components are redefined and stored in method repository to be used in the selection and assembly of new methods according to the situation at hands. This guidance approach assists at three levels: 1) in the selection of the most appropriate evaluation process model, 2) in the selection of the most appropriate method components and 3) in applying the selected method component.","PeriodicalId":267689,"journal":{"name":"2018 8th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132491179","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, most startups carry out ad-hoc requirements engineering approaches and follow the concept of learning by failure after rushing into development. This is because their culture lacks the availability of structured approaches that fits with their dynamic environment and unpredictable business nature and changing market. In this paper, the authors aim at presenting a novel framework that assists in prioritizing requirements in structured manner targeted for the startup business software development. It helps creating a focused development environment without permitting the team to hold unreasonable responsibilities that may end with a product that does not address core domain needs and user satisfaction. This framework contributes in creating a mutual communication ground area between business people, product manag-ers/business analysts and technical team while prioritizing software requirements with respect to software core requirements, supplementary requirements, critical requirements to the process and frequency of use. A pilot evaluation is carried using a real startup case study in Jordan.","PeriodicalId":267689,"journal":{"name":"2018 8th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130062990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Authentication systems received significant attention from both researchers and practitioners. The most common authentication mechanisms used nowadays are the alphanumeric-based schemes. However, the passwords used in these kind of systems are subject to be forgotten by users and can be vulnerable to various types of attacks, while other types of authentication mechanisms such as biometric-based methods are not affordable by individuals and small institutions. On the other hand, graphical password schemes are proposed to harness the fact that individuals are able to remember graphical shapes and pictures more than remembering alphanumeric text. This paper proposes a new hybrid graphical password scheme using two-dimensional (2D) shapes to create passwords. in this new scheme, users are asked to use certain 2D shapes to draw their graphical password during registration. The drawn shapes are mapped into textual passwords. The mapping algorithm depends on the order of selected shapes and the intersections between shapes. During sign-in, users need only to remember how to draw the 2D graphical password using the same shapes with the same order and with the same intersections between shapes to access a system.","PeriodicalId":267689,"journal":{"name":"2018 8th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123641083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It brings many challenges in order to ensure that all pilgrims are safe in performing the Hajj rituals. Information technology can be used to support in managing that situation. In this paper, we present an architectural design of geo-fencing emergency alerts system for Hajj pilgrim. Using the system, a pilgrim in emergency can send an alert informing his/her location and the help needed. The alert is then distributed to other group members within a certain distance from the pilgrim, his/her group leader, and his/her Hajj travel agent. The alert allows them to locate the pilgrim quickly and to offer the help correctly. The architecture uses mobile phones with GPS (global positioning system) as pilgrims' tracking devices. The architecture is designed not only for delivering expected functionality, but also for handling the predicted load. This includes an algorithm to reduce the load to the systems.","PeriodicalId":267689,"journal":{"name":"2018 8th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121750518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Genetic Algorithm (GA) is one of the most used evolutionary algorithms that attract the researchers' interests in many fields such as the physics and mathematics. GA can provide optimal solution for the problems of complex environments i.e. polarize environments. Like other evolutionary algorithms, the execution time of GA is relatively long, whereby the optimization processes could consume many hours. This study aims to improve the optimization accuracy and reduce the execution time of traditional GA. The parallel GA is proposed to conduct the optimization processes through distributed machines or processors (network of processes). The original complex problem is divided into sub-small areas, and each sub area is optimized by sequential GA that applied in each processor in the network. The final solution is collected from all processors in the network in order to decide the best final solution. To evaluate the proposed parallel genetic algorithm, two complex problems are optimized; De Jong's and Ackeleys path functions. For testing purpose, a network of four processors is constructed using MATLAB toolbox distributed system toolbox. The significances results show that proposed parallel GA give better results with less execution time than the traditional or sequential GA. The contribution of this study is the segmentation of large and complex area into small area and optimizes the solutions of the small areas using network of processors. This approach simplifies the optimized problems, reduce the execution time, and give better chances to discover the optimal solutions.","PeriodicalId":267689,"journal":{"name":"2018 8th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129107215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed system consists of three components 1) a map generation 2) path planning and 3) path tracking. The proposed approach allows a mobile robot to navigate the unknown environment, avoiding obstacles and following a defined path to reach the target position without collision. Ultrasonic sensor data was collected via moving the robot along the perimeter of the environment while incrementally updating the occupancy grid using ultrasonic/laser sensor to measure the distance between the obstacles and the edge of the environment. This dataset will be converted to a map that is used by Genetic Algorithms (GAs) to create an optimal route from a pre-defined start and target points. The autonomous robot system will travel between these points by following a trajectory defined by waypoints estimated using GAs. The pure pursuit (PP) algorithm is used for trajectory following. The proposed system was tested in a real environment using LEGO robot and in simulation using GAZEBO software. The results indicate that the proposed integrated autonomous mobile robot system is promising","PeriodicalId":267689,"journal":{"name":"2018 8th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123217680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As an individual trait, this parameter indicates the preferable learning object for a specific type of a learner. When considering collaborative learning environment through online chat and discussion, the learners can express their opinion on a shared learning object. Besides, level of interaction with the object is also important to identify the learning style. The nature of generated contents during discussion makes it difficult to extract the required information. In this paper we discuss how to identify the learning style from the learning object preferences expressed by the learner via the online discussion in a collaborative learning platform. To do so, the paper proposes an ontology-based Dynamic Bayesian Network (DBN) model to represent the relationship between the learning style and preferable learning object. The model also obtains the learner's opinion more than one time by using time slice to make the indication of learning styles more accurate. Consequently, providing the learner the appropriate personalized learning package.","PeriodicalId":267689,"journal":{"name":"2018 8th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116880867","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Predicting Software Effort Estimation Using Machine Learning Techniques","authors":"Ahmed Banimustafa","doi":"10.1109/CSIT.2018.8486222","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/CSIT.2018.8486222","url":null,"abstract":"In software engineering, estimation plays a vital role in software development. Thus, affecting its cost and required effort and consequently influencing the overall success of software development. The error margin in Expert-Based, Analogy-Based and algorithmic based methods including: COCOMO, Function Point Analysis and Use-Case-Points is quite significant, which exposes software projects to the danger of delays and running over-budget. To obtain better estimation, we propose an alternative method through performing data mining on historical data. This paper suggests performing this prediction using three machine learning techniques that were applied to a preprocessed COCOMO NASA benchmark data which covered 93 projects: Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression and Random Forests. The generated models were tested using five folds cross-validation and were evaluated using Classification Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and AUC. The estimation results were then compared to COCOMO estimation. All the applied techniques were successful in achieving better results than the compared COCOMO model. However, the best performance was obtained using both Naïve Bayes and Random Forests. Despite the fact that Naïve Bayes outperformed both of the other two techniques in its ROC curve and Recall score, Random Forests has a better Confusion Matrix and scored better in both Classification Accuracy, and Precision measures. The results of this work confirm the validity of data mining in general and the applied technique in particular for software estimation.","PeriodicalId":267689,"journal":{"name":"2018 8th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129889395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The importance of the proposed scheme raises from the fact that little attention is paid to the security issues related to color images while they are in wide use across vulnerable networks. The proposed scheme embeds six different watermarks in the color image. The operation of the proposed scheme relies on histogram shifting reversible data hiding technique and involves two steps: (1) embedding data into each independent color channel and (2) exploring the existing correlation between each pair of color channels, especially their differences, then data is embedded in this difference. The experimental results demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in terms of the watermarked image quality and proved that it is capable of providing high embedding capacity while keeping low computational complexity.","PeriodicalId":267689,"journal":{"name":"2018 8th International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127865854","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
