The measurement model we illustrate can be used to determine the weight coefficients which show the influence degree of each sub- driver to the firm's customer equity. We apply this approach on the mobile communications firms and discuss the customer equity promotion strategies guided by the influence degree of each sub-driver, which is different from qualitative approach used in the literature on promotion of customer equity.","PeriodicalId":267621,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Management and Service Science","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129703816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the principle of minimizing financing cost, this paper firstly constructs a dynamic optimizing model of capital structure from the angle of institutional ownership. Then, it uses panel data of 539 China listed companies of manufacturing industry from 2005 to 2007 to make regression of fixed effects model. The results indicate that the percentage of institutional stockholdings has positive relation with capital structure, and the decentralized degree of institutional ownership is negatively related to capital structure. The robustness check agrees with these results. Finally, this paper points that developing institutional investors is one way to solve the current low debt ratio of China listed companies. There are many cases in which the simultaneous monitoring or control of two or more related quality characteristics is required. Out-of-control signals in multivariate charts may be caused by one or more variables or a set of variables. One difficulty encountered with any multivariate process control is the diagnosis or interpretation of an out-of-control signal to determine which variable is responsible for the signal. In this paper, the diagnosis of out-of-control signal is formulated as a classification problem. The proposed system includes a shift detector and a classifier. The traditional multivariate chart works as a mean shift detector. Once an out-of-control signal is generated, an SVM-based classifier is used to recognize the variables that have shifted. We propose using subgroup data and extracted features (sample mean and Mahalanobis distance) as the input vectors of classifier. The proposed classifier will be demonstrated by multivariate processes with two and three quality characteristics. The performance of the proposed system was evaluated by computing its classification accuracy. We use the traditional decomposition method as a benchmark for comparison. Simulation studies indicate that the proposed approach is a successful method in identifying the source of mean change. The results reveal that SVM using extracted features as input vector has slightly better classification performance than using raw data as input. The proposed method may facilitate the diagnosis of the out-of-control signal.","PeriodicalId":267621,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Management and Service Science","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130221548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, all the counties have the low social and economic development levels. Second, the industry has the position deficiency of oriented economic development of county-level. Third, it is the extremely unbalanced social and economic development level among different counties and different industries within each county. Fourth, it is a decrease of social and economic development levels of counties from the central cities towards the peripheral regions in a hierarchical structure. Fifth, there are high social and economic development levels for these counties along the main traffic lines. Sixth, it is high correlation between social and economic development levels and education development levels. In general, the situation of regional social and economic development presents the \"point-axis\" economic growth mode. For the regional development in the future, it is suggested to organize the social and economic activities with the \"point-axis system\" mode and strengthen the diffusion effect of the central cities. Furthermore, with the supports from state of scheme, policy, fund to raise the regional socio-economic development and reduce the difference of the per capita living standard and the basic public services from the relatively developed area. c2009 IEEE. By combining two independent research streams (operation loss and new service design, framework of operation strategy and service system design), based on the classification of operational losses, products and delivery channel options, we proposed a new strategy framework. But their low operability results in that they couldn't be used in emergency response. It has been a bottleneck in emergency management in China. An operable counterplan should express the logical relationship among the activities and coordination among the departments. A hierarchical planning method (HPM) is proposed for constituting an operational counterplan. The responsibility of two levels, company level and department level, is discussed. The company should analyze the emergency nature and give the framework and standards of counterplan which is expressed by a network; the departments should finish the detail network respectively under the standards. Popular techniques of XQuery query processing are based on decomposition. XQuery has a complex syntax such as FOR clauses, and its complexity causes some considerations for the decomposition of global XQuery query. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to decompose a global query into local queries and to construct the result of the global XQuery query from the results of the local queries.
