The main attractiveness of Zigbee wireless technology is in its potential to set up self-organizing network that requires no network backbone and extremely low cost with low-power wireless networking. This paper provides experimental test results on actual voltage measurement using Zigbee protocol devices when communicating temperature, humidity and soil moisture data. The nodes are capable of relaying data up to 143 meters outdoor on unobstructed line of sights with requirement 5% data loss is fulfilled. The results can be used for battery lifetime prediction and suggest the suitability for Zigbee wireless communication for short-range outdoor applications.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128648252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, information in such an environment can be classified into three forms: structured, semistructured, or unstructured. Structured information is the best form of information because it facilitates the acquisition and comprehension of knowledge. Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) has a robust structure that manages, organizes and retrieves data. There are many attempts have been made in order to deal with such data. These attempts can be categorized into three groups: within a database schema, by a developed data model within the database, or by query-based techniques in database. Nonetheless, RDBMS contain massive amount of unstructured data such as textual data.. This paper proposed Textual Virtual Schema Model (TVSM). TVSM is conducted to perform semantic textual data linking and clustering and is embedded in the relational database structure (schema). In addition, linking and converting the unstructured information to structured data. Quality improvement of textual data clusters. Achievement of high query processing efficiency in retrieving data clusters. TVSM initially developed to assist researchers, developers, and database administrators who are concerned on unstructured information management, information extraction, multi-document clustering, information retrieval, query processing efficiency, personal information management, question answering, information integration, news tracking, and news summarization","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122000755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ZigBee as known for a low data rate, low power, and low cost wireless communication standard for building control applications, well suited for use. This leads to the problem identification which is manufacturers that indicates the ZigBee device’s or XBee performance specification in a Line of Sight (LOS) setting, that it becomes difficult to indicate such performance in real indoor scenarios, with many obstacles in between transmissions. Conducting range and throughput tests are some of the ways to evaluate and analyze the XBee device’s performance. Which the results show that the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values in the LOS setting are much greater than the Non-Line of Sight (NLOS) setting. With values such as −67.8 dBm in the LOS setting, while values such as −80.54 dBm in the NLOS setting. Then for the packet loss and error results, it shows that the LOS setting has a lower rate of packet loss and error than the NLOS setting. With packet losses and error below 0.21% in the LOS setting, while in the NLOS setting the packet losses and error can be as big as 7.60%. Which also shows that the PTP network tend to have more packet losses and error than the Multi network, as much as 30 packets, even though it does have faster transmission than the Multi network, which can go as fast as 3.164 kbps. As for the LQI network, in the NLOS setting, shows that distances above 10 meters tend to be unstable and weaken. Concluding that for indoor transmissions, such as buildings, with many obstacles, the recommended operating range for the XBee device used in this research is up to 10 meters, and the recommended network is the Multi network (mesh network).","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122322831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hessian-based filters are the most commonly used vessel enhancement filters; however, these filters are more sensitive to noise and suppress the bifurcation regions. Suppression of bifurcation regions results in disconnected vessels. In this study, we present a technique that enhances the arteries of the heart in 2D angiograms and also refines the noisy vesselness obtained through Frangi’s method by using guided filter which produces more enhanced image that can be used as an effective pre-processing step for binarization of the Frangi vessel response having less discontinuities and joint suppression. The proposed approach makes use of the guided filter which smooths the edges, and at the same time preserves the edges as well for the enhancement of vessels. Following this filter, an Adaptive thresholding is applied to segment the coronary arteries from the angiogram. The proposed method has been tested on real angiography images and the efficiency of the method has been shown qualitatively as well as quantitatively.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126089427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Results are presented as a function of wavelength conversion capability, WDM channel’s number, number of slots per burst and burst arrival probability regarding burst loss rate. It is observed that at a given BLR of 10-4, required wavelength conversion capability is less for high number of WDM channels. At a certain number of WDM channel and given BLR of 10-4 for more slot’s number, wavelength conversion capability required is higher. Optimum number of slots per burst are also found for a given wavelength number, BLR of 10-4 and wavelength conversion capability.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125463781","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a cooperative environment, individual CU senses the spectrum and report the sensed result to a centralized controller of CRN which makes a global decision regarding the spectrum. Two important performance metrics defines a CRN; probability of detection and probability of false alarm. At the centralized controller various fusion rules can be used to make global probabilities of detection and false alarm from the individual sensed result reported by CU. Practically as the number of sensed results reports at centralized controller increases, the loss probability of sensed reports also increases. This paper proposes reporting contributions for CU based on reporting channel condition. The proposed technique Reporting Channel Base Contribution (RCBC) limits the number of CU’s contributions for the final global probability of detection and false alarm based on various fusion rules. Detailed analytical and numerical analysis are covered in this paper. Simulation results show a great improvement in the global results when RCBC technique is compared with Reporting loss.","PeriodicalId":265737,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Smart Computing and Electronic Enterprise (ICSCEE)","volume":"85 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132512624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
