Because of this subject-subject communication unfortunately goes to the background. Sociocultural and psychological problems are multiplying as a result. On the other hand the Internet expands the possibilities and boundaries of communication and development. The Internet has entered almost all areas of life: medicine, education, law, culture, etc. One of such areas was art education as evidenced by numerous studies and articles on this topic. Hence the interest in building effective communications with different target audiences appear.As a sociocultural phenomenon the global network has opened up great opportunities for the development of creativity and leisure activities of the population, including teaching painting and drawing. People of different ages and life foundations get a chance to master the technologies of creative development and self-realization. Features of the creative process determine the set of communication tools which are necessary for the effective organization of this activity. Modern scholars argue that it is possible to successfully adapt in the modern world through the development of creativity and communication skills.Hence the subject of this study has become the development of communication models in the field of teaching painting, in other words, communication “next to the colors”. The basis was the theory of communication which the authors adapted to the field of painting. For the analysis and identification of trends in the development of this phenomenon, the article used methods of statistical analysis and random sampling as well as in-depth interviews with artists which made it possible to analyze communication models in the field of painting teaching using more than forty Internet resources as an example. The study took into account such factors as the level of development of the Internet resource, the specific features of communications related to creative processes in the artistic sphere, the number of subscribers, feedback mechanisms and other.","PeriodicalId":264308,"journal":{"name":"2019 Communication Strategies in Digital Society Workshop (ComSDS)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121827148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The digital communications functioning within the framework of the post-information society are characterized by interactivity, unlimited capacity, the exchange of communicants’ roles and only a conditional possibility for determining directions, values and possible consequences of communication.The authors come to a conclusion that new technologies (blockchain, AI, Big data) contribute to implementation of efficient communicative strategies, in which each communicant takes into account the social and personal characteristics of communication participants. The choice of discursive strategies should be based on the possibility of forming multiple identities of all communication participants. But achieving full understanding between the communication participants is difficult due to the impossibility of merging the communicating “Ego” and “the Other”.","PeriodicalId":264308,"journal":{"name":"2019 Communication Strategies in Digital Society Workshop (ComSDS)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122656558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Students spend the majority of their time on their laptops, phones and tablets, so referring them to resourceful websites is an effective way of being digitally up to date. The creation of an online community where academic staff and students can be online discussing topics and ideas and implicitly keep the learning process going even after the classes are finished. The transformation of Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University’s communication strategy, as a part of the development of engineering education in the context of digitalization is reviewed in the article. The main characteristics of Society 5.0, Industry 4.0, sixth wave of innovation, University 4.0, University 20.35 are presented. The meaning and use of such words as “digitalization”, “human capital”, “emotional intelligence”, “smart class”, “lifelong learning”, “university for life” and others are given. A strategic approach for promoting engineering professions in the international market of higher education based on six key principles: customer centricity, partner centricity, data governance, research and development, value and digital culture, is revealed. Different examples and numbers connected with ETU “LETI” and Honoris United Universities by each of these key principles are given in the article. The necessity of collaboration between teaching methodology and technology, in order to enhance the interrelated quality of teaching and learning for effective digital transformation are shown. University communication strategy has a direct impact on the development of the University and on key indicators that are formulated in the system of assessing the activities of the University at the State and international level. Thus, on the basis of the developed communication strategy all communications activities of the universities are carried out quite successfully and communication tools and channels are adapted to the constantly transforming portrait of the university’s target audiences.","PeriodicalId":264308,"journal":{"name":"2019 Communication Strategies in Digital Society Workshop (ComSDS)","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122244115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this paper is to explore the connections between humorous content of Russian users’ timeline pages in social networking services (SNS) and their gender and age. The corpus of timeline pages (news feed and wall) was collected from 500 SNS users aged between 15 and 30. The results of the study confirm that gender and age play a significant role in humor’s application by SNS users. We found two key tendencies in humor usage connected to demographics of SNS users. Male SNS users applied humor aimed to emphasize problems of dominance by contrast to female SNS users who paid more attention to problems of conformity. These problems were highlighted by SNS users according to their age either related to interpersonal relations in adolescence or associated with public relations in youth and adulthood. The findings revealed that humor has been intended to represent the key needs of individuals as cues for comprehending their personality by other users. At this rate humor becomes a tool for SNS users to indicate their state, to build communication with unfamiliar people, and to be on the same wavelength with significant others.","PeriodicalId":264308,"journal":{"name":"2019 Communication Strategies in Digital Society Workshop (ComSDS)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132737232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this research is to study the specific features of the emergence and evolution context of the “Fake news” communication technology. The methodological basis for the analysis is the multiparadigm approach, which allows to combine heuristic potentials of the system-sociological methodology, interactive approach and theory of communicative action. Secondary sources devoted to the problems of modern political communications, as well as thematic content of social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, VKontakte, etc., were the empirical base. The following results were obtained during the performed analysis. Firstly, in recent years the toolkit of modern political communications has been expanding, which testifies to the development of a well-known “electronic or monitoring democracy”, which sometimes is referred to as a democracy of inclusive observation over the activities of ruling political class. At the same time, the mass media are increasingly interfacing with the political space in terms of the use of new information technologies in political communications. Secondly, the role of social media as a channel of political communication is growing. Within the framework of these media, social networks playing a growing role in the political mobilization of masses are becoming the most popular. Thereby, political actors obtain a possibility to coordinate their actions. Thirdly, advertising of political communications takes place. It is expressed in the subordination of political and communication interactions to the laws of advertising business concerning formation of political image of famous leaders. Advertising is supplemented by marketing of political communications, which consists in its impact on electorate by means of resources of “personal”, “software” and “information” influence in order to gain a place in the state and municipal power system. It is ac-companied by distortion and fabrication of facts, tendentious and one-sided editing of misinfor-mation, discrediting of opponents with abnormal rhetoric, labelling and trolling. Three conditions described above constitute the context thanks to which, the “fake news” influence increasingly on political communications. The term “Fake news” is recognized as an expression of 2017 and refers to knowingly false, sensational information disseminated under the guise of news, which also includes the biased journalism, propaganda, hidden advertising, “post-telling” and trolling. Features of the “Fake news” communication technology are the following: high speed of distribution of such messages, wider coverage of audience, difficulties of their identification. Different countries, de-spite the national, cultural and political differences, are trying to fight against the fake news both jointly and separately. In order to limit the impact of th","PeriodicalId":264308,"journal":{"name":"2019 Communication Strategies in Digital Society Workshop (ComSDS)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114545909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
