Generally speaking, high frequency electromagnetic wave is the preferred method, for its mature technique, such as GPS, RF etc. However, the closed environment of metal pipeline shields the propagation of electromagnetic wave. Though many kinds of ray have been successfully applied in pipeline inspection and localization, there are serious hazards to environment and biology. This paper presents a reliable communication method by applying extreme low frequency electromagnetic pulse (ELFEP) which has advanced penetrating ability outside metal pipe-wall shielding. The propagation rule of ELF-EP is analyzed, and how frequency affects propagation distance is talked respectively through low electric conductive medium and conductor. An effective localization method is presented by analyzing the distributing mechanism of ELF-EP along pipeline. To improve stabilization and tracking accuracy, a secondary stage actuated by a pair of electro-magnets is mounted on a conventional elevation gimbal, and for the remaining roll axis stabilization, an electronic digital image stabilization technique is introduced to estimate and correct roll motion. After analyzing the characteristic of video text, the feature of kurtosis is first used in the field of text extraction, which improves the locating accuracy considerably. The OCR accuracy is also improved by using the Shannon interpolation method and Niblack adaptive thresholding method to enhance the video text extracted. The static part is an implementation of an equivalent empirical function. The dynamic part is based on an equivalent electrical circuit. The parameters of the model are deduced from measurements of polarization curve and electrochemical impedance. The hardware architecture consists of a 200 MIPS ARM9 32-bit SoC, ultrasonic sensors, an IEEE 802.15.4 based Telos mote (a wireless sensor network node) for wireless communications, and a differential motor driven base platform with shaft mounted optical encoder for closed loop motion control. MCP is controlled remotely via a console software client running on a Windows based PC. Through the graphical user interface, the operator sends motion commands to and receives status from the MCP through a pair of Telos, one connecting to the PCpsilas USB port and the other to the MCPpsilas. One of the key features of the MCP is automated obstacle avoidance empowered by on-board ultrasonic detection of the surrounding environment. To achieve the goal of real-time system control, multi-thread software architecture is adopted, and along with a real-time Linux operating system framework. However, it requires control systems to keep the frequency values constant. In this paper we develop a mathematical model for a micro hydroelectric power plant (MHPP). We validate this model by analysing a MHPP prototypepsilas performances. The prototype is installed in our laboratory. We use the downstream regulation which ensures good frequency regulation results. The used controller is the dasiaPIpsila one. Feed-forward and feedback controllers of the fuel cell system are designed independently of the boost converter. The voltage control of the boost converter is realized through its input voltage, using fuel cell stack as an actuator, while the PWM duty cycle is left constant. The boost converter output voltage PI controller is designed as an inner control loop, and model reference adaptive controller with signal adaptation algorithm is designed as an outer control loop. One of the most important requirements in the tracking trajectories problem is to achieve a soft landing. This guarantees reliable functionality and a longer component life. Real control applications are affected by saturation limits which generate slew rate and windup. This paper presents an industrial application of a typical electromagnetic actuator in which soft landing is required in a tracking trajectories problem during a closing phase. In order to avoid saturations, which do not allow enough soft landing, a specific control law is developed. The proposed technique is based on a cyclic adaptive current pre-action combined with a sliding surface. The technique consists of building a control law so that the point at which the velocity assumes its minimum is as close as possible to the landing point. At that point the magnetic force compensates for the elastic one. After that the pre-action component is switched off. The novelty of this control system is the estimation of rotor speed and angular position is based on the back electromotive force space vector determination, without the aid of voltage probes. Actual voltage signals needed for estimation are replaced with the reference ones given by the current controller. This choice obviously introduces an error that have been vanished by means of a new compensating function or with the aid of data coming from experimental tests. Experimental verifications of the proposed sensorless control system were made with the aid of a flexible test bench for Brushless Motor electrical Drives.
