The sample of the study consisted of 290 parents with one or more children. Of the 290 participant parents, 203 were female and 87 were male. In the current study, along with MPPS B form, Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale was used to determine convergent validity. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used to determine the construct validity of the scale, and in order to confirm the results of the analysis Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was conducted. Based on the factor analysis, the factors in the scale were grouped as “Partner’s Parenting Expectations and Criticism”, “Doubts about Parenting Capacity”, “Parenting Organization”, and “Personal Parenting Standards”. The Cronbach alpha values obtained in the analysis ranged between .83 and .93. The results of the analysis suggest that the Turkish version of the MPPS is a psychometrically powerful scale. In this respect, it is emphasized that theories explaining suicidal behavior should be examined to understand the factors behind suicidal behavior. Many theorists have proposed different ideas in explaining suicidal behavior and its occurrence until the beginning of the twenty-first century. These theories are discussed as psychological, sociological, and biological theories. Psychoanalytic Theory, Spiritual Theory, Hopelessness Theory, and Escape Theory were among the psychological theories. It would not be wrong to call these theories first-generation suicide theories. On the other hand, after the 2000s, contemporary psychological theories dealing with suicidal behavior with risk factors have attracted attention. These theories have been called second-generation suicide theories because they have been put forward more recently. Considering the need to examine these theories under a single roof, in this article, the Interpersonal Theory of Suicide, Three-Step Theory of Suicide, Integrative Motivational-Volitional Model, and Fluid Vulnerability Theories are presented. Moreover, an overview of the psychological mechanisms underlying suicidal behavior development has been submitted, and a critical discussion has been made. These theories show that the factors and processes that support the development of suicidal thoughts are different from those associated with suicidal behavior. Hopelessness and suicidality are the common points of theories. In addition, these theories focused on dynamic risk factors and risk assessment that appear in life, change over time, and immediately bring them closer to suicide. Evidence obtained from clinical practices shows that eating disorders bring along various medical problems, and complete recovery is difficult; thus, relapse rates are high. In eating disorders, the importance of early diagnosis and treatment is emphasized; however, the effectiveness and suitability of the treatment method are also crucial. Accordingly, increasing knowledge about the contemporary psychotherapy approaches used in the treatment of eating disorders subtypes is significant for those who work in the field of mental health. In this review, contemporary therapy approaches that should be taken into consideration when working with individuals diagnosed with eating disorders are presented. Family-based therapies, mindfulness-based therapies, and dialectical behavioral therapies are emphasized with their underlying assumptions about eating disorders as well as their main techniques and therapy goals. In addition, effectiveness of these approaches was examined, and previous studies are found to be limited based on their amount and methodology. However, these psychotherapies were considered as useful approaches in terms of reducing the symptoms of eating disorders and providing different methods in treatment. The aim of the study is to examine the relationships between these variables, as well as to determine the mediating role of proactive personality and generalized anxiety disorder in the effect of perfectionism on work flow experience. Data were collected from public (58.4%) and private sector (41.6%) employees in order to find an answer to the research question created in line with the purpose of the study and to test the hypotheses. Data collection tools include the Work Related Flow Inventory (WOLF), Proactive Personality Scale, Perfectionism Scale, Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale, as well as a personal information form. Pearson Correlation analysis and SPSS Process Macro regression analyzes were conducted to examine the relationships between the variables. Research findings show that there are significant relationships between employees' proactive personality traits, generalized anxiety disorder, and workflow experiences. The perfectionism level of employees is significantly related to proactive personality and work flow experience. In addition, it has been revealed that proactive personality trait and generalized anxiety disorder symptoms have serial multiple mediation effects on the relationship between employees' perfectionism levels and workflow experiences. The aim of the current study is to adapt Making Decisions Scale to Turkish and evaluate its validity and reliability in a sample consisting of women. Explanatory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted using data provided by 219 female participants. The findings of explanatory factor analysis revealed three factors representing expenses, social activities, and behaviors. The factors explained 44.27 % of the variance. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the three-factor structure with fit indexes [χ2 (30) = 70.80, p = .000, χ2/sd = 2.36, CFI= .90, GFI = .93, RMSEA = .09]. Convergent and divergent validities of the scale were also evaluated by examining the relationships between the scale and relevant or independent concepts. The reliability of the scale was assessed by examining internal consistency (Cronbach Alpha .83), composite reliability (.76), and test-re-test reliability (r = .82, p < .001). EEG studies show that when we synchronize with a rhythm, our brain waves also synchronize. From this view, trance can be a state of consciousness that is a result of rhythmic entrainment of brain waves. It is known that Shamans perform a ceremony with drums and experience trance for centuries. Although using rhythm to mediate trance goes back to Shamanism, it is also a part of different cultures. Trance experience continues its existence with psychedelic trance dance in the West and also with dhikr and Sama in the East world. If we define the term of “trance” as “a state of wajd”, experiences of Shaman rituals, psychedelic dance and dhikr are similar, because of using rhythm as a mediator. In this review, comparison of the trance experiences shows that the psychological effects of rhythmic entrainment point to a fundamental mechanism beyond cultural differences. The semantic knowledge stored in memory, figure-background segmentation, grouping principles, and current mood and expectations of the person are equally important. Visual illusions, which might be described as the discrepancy between the objective properties of the external world and their subjective representations, is a common feature of the visual perception that provides meaningful insights with regards to the structure and function of the complex information processor in the brain. In this context, visual illusions are the end results of the optimization strategies that allow the effective use of limited neuronal and metabolic resources, and thus reflect the natural working principles while coping with these limitations, rather than restrictions inflicted upon the system. In this review, we present a compilation of illusions and summarize the key principles of visual perception on the basis of these visual phenomena. The aim of the present study is to examine the role of perceived social support (PSS) on the relationship between psychological violence and psychological symptoms among women. The sample consisted of 293 women participated through a web-based survey. While the ages of the participants varied between 18 and 66 (M=32.19, SD=9.90), 75.4% of them stated that they are currently in a romantic relationship. In addition, most of the participants have high school or higher education level (%88,8). After the Informed Consent Form, Demographic Information Form, Profile of Psychological Abuse, Brief Symptom Inventory and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support were administered respectively. When PSS from different sources were examined, it was detected that PSS from family had a moderator role in psychological violence and anxiety, negative self-concept and hostility relations. However, the protective effect of PSS from family was not found for depression and somatization. PSS from friends and significant others did not moderate the relationship between psychological violence and psychological symptoms. The results of the present study indicated that PSS from family has an important role for the psychological health of women exposed to psychological violence. All social sources having a protective role against psyhological violence which can lead to physical violence in romantic relationships are important for the public policies for preventing violence against women. Highly stressful or traumatic life events may violate individuals’ global meaning (such as beliefs and goals) that provide a general framework to understand the world, themselves, and others. The Global Meaning Violation Scale (GMVS), consisting of 13 items and three subscales (belief violations, intrinsic goal violations and extrinsic goal violations), assesses violation in global meaning after exposure to a traumatic or stressful life event. In the present study, GMVS was translated into Turkish, and the psychometric properties of the scale were examined in a sample of 564 adult sample. Similar to the original form of the scale, the GMVS Turkish form consists of three factors. In order to evaluate the validity of the scale, the relationship between the SAM, DASS-21, PTSD Checklist-Civilian, perceived stressfulness of the event and the total score of GMVS and its subscales scale was examined. As a result of psychometric analyses, findings supporting the concurrent, distinctive, and incremental validity of the scale were obtained. It is found that the Turkish version of GMVS has satisfactory internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Cronbach alpha coefficients of the whole scale, GMVS-Beliefs, GMVS-Intrinsic and GMVS-Extrinsic were found to be .85, .77, .79 and .87 respectively; the test-retest reliabilities were found to be .79, .79, .68 and .66, respectively. It is thus differentiated from the concepts of subjective well-being and psychological well-being. In the current study, it was aimed to adapt the Questionnaire for Eudaimonic Well-Being (QEWB) to the Turkish language and determine the psychometric properties of this self-report measurement. The sample of this study consisted of 424 university students with a mean age of 21.12 (SD=1.47; 77.1% female, 22.9% male). Exploratory factor analysis results showed a three-factor structure. The results of correlation analysis supported that the QEWB-TR had convergent (positive correlations with psychological well-being, subjective well-being, life satisfaction, positive emotion, and global self-esteem measurements) and discriminant validity (negative correlations with negative emotion, contingent self-esteem, external locus of control, depression, anxiety, and stress measurements). The reliability analyses revealed that this measurement had good internal consistency (.84) and the split-half reliability (.75) coefficients.
