The EU expects through the exchange of interoperable health data (i) a better access for the European citizens to health services, (ii) increasing patients’ sovereignty and empowerment and (iii) a better service provision through the access to health data for research and innovation, policymaking, and regulatory decisions. To address this challenge, we present in this paper some further developments of our distributed and interoperable e-health framework [47] [23] [42] [34]. We extended the architecture with a streamlined and customized design thinking process to rapidly acquire software requirements and specifications. This paper is designed as a proof-of-concept around the Horizon 2020 research project ESCAPE. User requirements and specifications were gathered using the design thinking process and implemented in the flexible architecture. The result is a comprehensive and customized clinician dashboard which is embedded in the interoperable architecture as a customized clinical solution for care managers in an intervention of multimorbid patients.","PeriodicalId":261969,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115836217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose a tool to improve the accessibility of hi-tech devices and the sustainability of cooperation in multidisciplinary teams in the first scanning session. The CRUSE scanning beginners may take into account a novel image descriptor of moderate size for practical applications, e.g. differencing similar CRUSE scans. Our approach combines a set of Harris corners with the Hungarian algorithm to achieve an informative visual representation in the form of a planar subgraph. We compare, on selected use-cases, the solution quality and/or disadvantages. The key practical contribution of our research is an original approach for an alternative way of image structure understanding, named \"polygon shape descriptor\". Our innovation is about transforming the image differencing using Harris corners and Hungarian edges for support and/or speed-up of visual comparison of very similar scans. Methodologically, we interrelate computer vision and computational geometry to enhance hi-tech accessibility in virtual reality classes and student projects.","PeriodicalId":261969,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128786608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to literature, most of the Italian AAC software products are developed by building on the English language, and even by simply translating existing ones in English. As a consequence, the communication boards adopt the logic structure of the English language, its grammatical and syntactic rules, its organisation into sub-elements (nouns, verbs, etc.). This can lead the Italian users of these software to limited or garbled linguistic production, grammatically and lexically poor and syntactically incorrect. Addressing these challenges, this contribution intends to present the main technological and linguistic features of ParlaConMe (that means “Talk with me”).","PeriodicalId":261969,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion","volume":"85 1-2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120990839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is essential to understand the needs of individuals with IDD when they wish to enter the Higher Education Institution or the job market, as well as access to digital platforms. Designing such a platform is considered a challenge, in this sense, it becomes crucial to involve end-users in this process. This paper portrays the experience of involving People with IDD, as well as other stakeholders, in gathering requirements and design for the prototype of a digital platform \"Hilives\". A digital resource that can recommend connections between different stakeholders (in a dynamic way) and that can play a crucial role in networking opportunities that allow people with IDD to attend Higher Education and find a job. Preliminary findings are presented highlighting the benefits of using a person-centred approach when developing research involving people with IDD and surveying different types of stakeholders.","PeriodicalId":261969,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116048171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A limited number of publications have been found regarding the design of immersive educational environments for special education and especially for students with disabilities. This study proposes MILES-D, a model for the design of effective immersive educational environments for students with disabilities. MILES-D comprises two dimensions by incorporating the affordances of immersive technologies and the Universal Design for Learning model, to propose a series of learning tasks afforded in immersive environments for students with disabilities. A systematic literature review regarding students with intellectual disability revealed that researchers do not seem to use any model for the design of their educational environments. Nevertheless, studies incorporating certain affordances, develop immersive environments which follow the proposed by MILES-D tasks. This is a first indication that MILES-D works and empirical studies are needed to validate it.","PeriodicalId":261969,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125749750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
