Photovoltaic (PV) systems generate electricity from sunlight without creating any air or water pollution and in a clean, quiet and reliable way. The efficiency and performance of PV systems are still under development. As a consequence, the control structures of the PV system grid-connected are a fundamental part for its proper functioning. In this paper, a grid connected photovoltaic system based on a three-phase three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) inverter is presented. The proposed system describes in detail each stage along with the suited controllers, which operate in a proper and efficient way. In addition, the Perturbation and Observation (P&O) algorithm to get the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of the PV system under different irradiation conditions, is proposed. In order to maximize the PV system power, a three-phase three-level NPC converter is used to achieve higher power levels, lower voltage stress on devices, lower switching frequency and reduce harmonic content. In addition, d-q reference frames are used to decouple the active and reactive power controllers. Such kind of fault are difficult to detect and locate in electric distribution systems because of the small currents magnitudes involved which cannot be detected by conventional overcurrent protection. Furthermore, an arcing often accompanies high-impedance faults that can result in fire hazard, damage to electrical equipment, or even worst, a risk to human life. For these reasons the high impedance faults phenomenon has been the subject of intense research. The proposed method applies the SVD to a measurement matrix formed by the differential current per each phase normalized and filtered. The goal is to obtain the greatest singular value that brings the most variability highlighting the characteristic patterns in differential currents. A threshold based on Euclidean norm was established to differentiate between inrush and fault currents. If the magnitude of the largest singular value is above the threshold, an internal fault is determined, otherwise, an inrush current. The algorithm was implemented on MATLAB, and a broad array of experimental cases was made in two different three-phase transformers to validate its performance. Therefore, an analysis of jitter is required to reduce errors in the SCNA estimation. The SCNA measurements are accompanied with intensive noise that may cause errors and ambiguities in the breakpoint detection with low signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). We show that the asymmetric exponential power distribution (AEPD) provides much better approximation to the jitter distribution than the earlier proposed discrete skew Laplace distribution. Furthermore, we confirm that (AEP) distribution its suitable for computing the confidence upper and lower boundary limits in order to guarantee an existence of genomic changes with a required probability. The proposed control action calculates the insulin delivery rate in order to prevent hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic levels in patients. A nonlinear compartmental model that represents the glucose regulation behavior for T2DM subjects was linearized around a nominal healthy subject conditions, and then reduced for synthesis design. Unstructured uncertainties were considered in model based on sensitivity analysis and a 10th order robust controller was derived with a γ = 0.9921. The proposed scheme uses as a reference glucose values of a healthy patient. Condition monitoring and fault detection of WTs reduce both downtimes and costs in the electric service. In this regard, it is important to ensure their safety and reliability. This paper presents a methodology based on the wavelet packet transform (WPT) for detection of unbalance fault in a WT. In general, the methodology consists of the acquisition and analysis of vibration signals coming from the WT. For vibration signals, WPT is firstly applied. Then, one node of the wavelet packet tree is analyzed using an energy index. This index is computed as a fault feature. Finally, a statistical analysis is carried out in order to observe the capability of discriminating between a nominal condition and a fault condition. Studies can provide information about problems of regulation from voltage (VR), losses, power quality, among others.
