The proposed voltage clamp soft-switching step-up/down not only provides the switches in the section of conventional PWM buck inverter operate at zero-voltage-switching (ZVS), but it has a step-up/down input voltage function and the switches in itself also operate at ZVS. Thus, except for the switch in the section of ZVS-PWM auxiliary circuit, all power semiconductor devices in proposed inverter operate at ZVS turn on and turn off. The switch in the section of ZVS-PWM auxiliary circuit operates at zero-current-switching (ZCS) turn-on and turn-off. Besides operating at constant frequency, the proposed inverter has no voltage stress and current stress on the main switch compared to the hard switching inverter counterpart. Auxiliary components rated at very small current are used. CTF based control algorithm is used for extraction of fundamental load active and reactive power components of load currents which are used for estimating the reference source currents. This algorithm requires only multipliers, low pass filters and summers so it is simple and fast. A DSTATCOM is developed and its performance is tested using a DSP. By doing so, the problem in voltage bucking of the KY converter can be solved, thereby increasing the application capability of the KY converter. Aside from this, such a converter possesses the non-pulsating output current, thus not only decreasing the current stress on the output capacitor but also reducing the output voltage ripple. In this paper we analyze the comparative dynamics especially of economics and try to identify the future prospects for capacity increases. The boost chopper circuit is used to obtain an appropriate voltage for a few mW applications whereas a few μW applications are suitable for the charge pump circuit. Since the TEG modules have a large internal resistance, there exists a maximum power point (MPP). The voltage, current, and power of the TEG fluctuate around MPP during the chopper circuit operating. This paper proposes a design method of a boost chopper circuit for the TEG modules. The boost chopper circuit should be designed with considering the inductance L with the equivalent series resistance (ESR), the fluctuation of the input voltage, and fluctuation of the output voltage. The equations for these factors are theoretically obtained. First, the employed battery management system can accurately capture some important parameters of the Lithium-ion battery module, including voltage, current, temperature, and providing protection functions for the battery module under abnormal conditions. Next, these obtained parameters of the battery are transmitted to the microcontroller through the inter-integrated circuit (I2C-bus). And then the microcontroller can control the pack-balancing circuit according to the received battery information. The proposed dual-balancing mechanism can avoid imbalance between adjacent battery packs so as to increase the utility rate of the whole battery module and to prolong the battery lifespan. This paper reports distortion reduction by lowering magnitudes of harmonics in the line currents using a delta-wye transformer between the 3-phase utility and the diode bridge rectifier. The leakage inductances of the transformer windings provide a filtering effect on the line current harmonics thus providing THD mitigation of utility line currents. The efficacy of the technique is proved by Power Systems Computer Aided Design (PSCAD) simulations considering the bridge rectifier with and without the delta-wye transformer of vector group Dyl. It focuses on the importance of seeking the highest environmental benefits possible from the use of biomass residues. We argue that this can be achieved by applying the principles of Industrial Ecology in the design of models to enable a transformation to the use of biomass for energy production in local communities. This article develops four such energy-and-business models to be adopted by communities, each dependent on the local context and type of biomass available. The unbalances become more prominent when the machine is feeding single-phase nonlinear loads. In this paper, analysis of a STATCOM based unbalance mitigation technique has been presented which successfully eliminates the unbalances, especially on the current waveforms. This is an encouraging result as the current unbalances are more severe compared to that of voltage unbalances as the former would otherwise lead to overheating of the machine windings which will eventually cause puncture of the insulation and accelerate ageing of the machine. The STATCOM is designed based on calculating the direct-axis and quadrature-axis components of reference currents which are converted to three-phase reference source currents with the help of Inverse Park Transformation and then compared with the actual machine currents to generate the required pulses to trigger the IGBTs of the Voltage Source Inverter (VSI). A single-phase rectifier based load is considered.
