An example of such education is the system of training professional translators and interpreters. The author raises the issue of using the general principles of teaching professional disciplines in the training of translators and interpreters, which contribute to the formation of the competence of the translator and interpreter. The paper analyzes ways to optimally organize the training of translators and interpreters, based on current theoretical and practical principles. The article’s main topic is the structural and functional analysis of key types of speech activity: listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the training of translators/interpreters during the professional discipline “Communicative Strategies”. The article’s emphasis is placed on the basic methodological principles of the modern process of training future translators. Translator training takes many forms. Translator training is associated with the skills needed to achieve translation competence. Translator education, on the other hand, recognizes the need for students to acquire key types of speech activity: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Theoretical research and practical verification of efficient pedagogical means, forms, and methods facilitating the formation of the future translators’ professional competence within the system of university training confirm the urgent demand for the determination and grounding of a corresponding set of curricular and constituents of their professional speech training. Students’ academic success, while being trained in English much depends on their language awareness, which is to be fostered. Therefore, we might assume that teaching (future translators) English plays a significant role in their professional training. This topic is covered in the context of the analysis of educational and professional programs developed and implemented in the educational process by the lecturers of the Department of Ukrainian Philology of Khmelnytsky National University. The presentation of theoretical positions in diachronic linguistics should be based on illustrative material of historical dictionaries of the Ukrainian language, which should be presented with the help of computer technology available to all participants in the educational process. It is necessary to involve both vocabulary material of academic lexicography and the latest developments of linguists. To acquire lexicographic skills, students solve cognitive, training, creative research tasks on the origin of words, development of lexical meaning of language units, foreign language parallels for borrowed tokens, grammatical characteristics of nouns, phonetic, graphic, spelling variability of words, chronology of their functioning, norms of the modern Ukrainian language, etc. It is expedient to carry out a comparative analysis of lexicographical publications of historical and linguistic courses, paying attention to the peculiarities of the description of language material, selection of source base, construction of dictionary articles, etc. When performing lexical, etymological, grammatical, stylistic exercises, future lecturers are aware of the need to refer to the dictionary. Skills in managing the acquired lexicographic knowledge are necessary to prepare students for research activities. Students perform creative and exploratory tasks that allow them to recognize, systematize, analyze, compare various phenomena and facts reflected in lexicographic sources, comment and evaluate them according to the topic and purpose of the study. As an initial theoretical premise, the paper adopted the position that the communicative-functional features of sentences and speech acts are determined by their purposeful use for the speaker to exercise some influence on the listener, which makes it relevant to study language units in real language communication. In accordance with this, a pragmatic approach to the analysis of the facts under study comes to the fore, which involves the study of language as an activity and as a means of communication, revealing the effective, practical purpose of language units, their correlation with the behavior and activities of the speaker. The object of this work is the verbs of speech activity in German and English media discourses. The study of the pragmatic functions of sentences with verbs of speech activity is an integral part of the general pragmatic direction in the study of linguistic phenomena, which determines the relevance of the chosen topic. In the process of analyzing the verbs of speech activity, the descriptive method and the method of quantitative assessments, as well as the method of component analysis, were used. Such an integrated approach can ensure the reliability of the results obtained. The material of the study was the verbs of speaking from German and English media texts. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the appeal to the pragmatic aspect of these verbs and in the desire to more fully describe the studied verbs. The theoretical value of the study is a fairly complete analysis of the verbs of speech activity in German and English media discourses. This problem has not yet been the subject of close attention of grammarians. In the presented study, the prevention of interlingual interference is seen as an important component of the study of any non-native language, it should be borne in mind that this problem is especially acute in the case of confrontation of languages with similar lexical composition. It is proved that it is expedient to apply a comparative approach to the selection and description of lexical material, as well as the fact that comparing the lexical composition of related languages allows to focus on those phenomena that can cause erroneous associations in the study of Slavic languages (Polish, Czech, Croatian, Belarusian, Serbian, Russian, etc.) and when translated into Ukrainian. It was found that the theory and practice of translation from closely related languages play a significant role in the training of well-educated and professionally competent Slavic philologists. It is established that linguistic study of inter-Slavic translation allows to identify connotational differences in related languages and show the features of the national linguistic picture of the world for each language, and comparative study of Slavic languages must be taken into account in their teaching methods. As a result of the research, a procedure for working on the vocabulary of closely related languages was proposed, which includes the study of the semantic features of interlingual homonyms of Slavic languages. In this context, it is established that the peculiarity of mastering such lexical units is the study not only of the meaning of words, but also understanding the laws of functioning, according to which linguistic phenomena coexist and are interconnected and interact. It is characterized by logicality, figurativeness, emotionality, appraisal, appeal and the corresponding language means. In news texts, various types of syntactic constructions are widely used, which give speech power and persuasiveness, colorfulness and imagery. The object of research is syntactic constructions in news texts. The purpose of the work is to identify the specifics of the functioning of syntactic constructions in German-language texts and to identify ways to translate them. The main methods are descriptive and comparative, elements of contextual analysis were also used. The material of the study was the news texts of the popular German news site tagesschau.de, from which about 120 cases of using various syntactic constructions were identified and analyzed using the continuous sampling method. The theoretical significance lies in the fact that syntactic units were studied in terms of their meaning, structure, composition, functional and semantic features. Particular attention is paid to the translation of German constructions with a extended attribute and German prepositions, which are most often used in German news texts. It is proved that the German extended attribute has significant structural differences from the Ukrainian one, and the translation of German constructions with prepositional phrases requires not only knowledge of all the meanings of prepositions, but also the peculiarities of their positional arrangement in the news text. In addition, a description of the news discourse is given, its specific features, tasks, and main functions are identified. It is determined that phraseological compounds containing the names of body parts are somatic phraseological units and constitute a significant part of the vocabulary of the Polish language. It is emphasized that phraseological units with a somatic component are an important lexical group in the Polish language. It was determined that the increase in somatic phraseological units in the resource of Polish idioms reflects their ability to create new idiomatic units. It has been established that the author used a large number of phraseological units with a somatic component in the novel by Henryk Sienkiewicz. It is noted that phraseological units with a somatic component make it possible to realize and understand how an understanding of the picture of the world is formed in a person through a somatic code, in particular, such linguistic units contain cultural information, collective cultural memory. Such a verbalized somatic component is represented by linguistic units that characterize not only a person, but also his physiological, mental and emotional spheres. The article analyzes more than 200 phraseological units with a somatic component and identifies 10 thematic blocks, in particular, joy, anger, love, suffering, anxiety, surprise, contempt, fear, sadness, despair. Attention is focused on phraseological units with a somatic component: heart, eyes, face, because these lexemes clearly convey emotions. During the analysis, the main function of somatisms was determined – emotional. The meaning of phraseological units with a somatic component in the novel “The Crusaders” by Henryk Sienkiewicz is analyzed. The article analyzes the linguistic scientist and defines leading additional linguistic stylist factors of the scientific study. This proved the scientific styles is a complete language formation, it was historically formed, it has a socially conscious type of language with a united grammatical structure based of the principle of logic, contains meaningful messages, a single structural grammatical form, and represents the scientific sphere of the communication. In English (both orally and written), the scientific style characterizes the closeness, informative saturation, hidden emotional, connectivity, logic of construction, various types of lexical, grammatical, logical, stylistic connection and has a certain grammatical instruction. In addition to, the scientific style is inherent in the generalized-abstract nature of the presentation of: the materials, the semantic accuracy and objectivity that determines the choice of meanings for the registration of cognitive information. Which, in turn, are within strict conventional limits.
