The oscillation characteristics in the long pulse operation was clarified, and the advanced operation scenario of the gyrotron to the high efficiency oscillation was newly established by controlling a pitch factor of the electron beam and the cavity magnetic field in the long pulse operation. In the long pulse experiment, the steady state operation of 1 hour with the output power of 0.6 MW was also demonstrated.","PeriodicalId":254940,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133723079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The transmission efficiency of 92% from the inlet of the transmission line to the end, which is comparable to the specification value was successfully obtained. The anomalous incremental temperature between the bends or after/before the bend were observed. This result suggests that the bends generated the higher order modes and the modes are possibly trapped between them and reflect back to the direction propagating toward them.","PeriodicalId":254940,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133526064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hybrid cavities have notable advantages over cavities which are based solely on 1D or 2D structures, as it allows for tighter frequency control due to the stricter requirements that must be satisfied for interaction with a 2D mirror. In this paper, the experimental (thin line) and theoretical (bold line) data are compared. This will be combined with an active ID Bragg coaxial output mirror which can relatively easily be changed from closed to open state by changing the relative phase of the 1D Bragg corrugation.","PeriodicalId":254940,"journal":{"name":"2007 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133135107","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
