Internal displacement has rendered over 2 million people in Nigeria homeless, with Maiduguri hosting over 1.6 million as at May, 2021. These IDPs are camped by governments across the nation, while some of them went to stay with friends or relatives who reside in neighboring local government areas or states. The study adopts Joseph’s prebendalism theory which explains a situation in which public officials use their position of trust to amass wealth through criminal means. Both primary and secondary sources of data collection were used. The primary source employed the use of Focus Group Discussion from among the IDPs in selected camps as well as IDPs outside camps. Key Informants Interviews with government officials at NEMA and SEMA, etc., was used; while online newspapers, radio reports, etc., served as secondary sources. The findings of the study show that some officials of the national and state emergency management agencies divert emergency relief materials meant for IDPs for their personal gains. It also shows that this diversion of relief materials affects the general welfare of the IDPs. The study recommends among other things that an agency should be created to coordinate and monitor the activities of the national and state emergency management agencies and all other agencies and NGOs with regard to the collection and distribution of relief materials and rehabilitation of IDPs.","PeriodicalId":254239,"journal":{"name":"Innovare Journal of Social Sciences","volume":"4 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129580912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Is it identifiable? or is it learned by living? It is not as easy as one might think to give a coherent answer to these questions. Scientists, thinkers and artists have defined love in different ways or have tried to explain it. Scientists say that the motive of love begins with birth. This is an important starting point in terms of revealing the source of love. From this point of view, it will contribute to our saying that love begins with the existence of the first human being. At first, people feel lonely and are alone with themselves. Later, as he gets to know the beings and objects outside himself, he enters into some relations with them. If there is no expression of love in these relationships, the person returns to his loneliness again, which creates a feeling of shame in him. This is also a source of guilt and restlessness. As a matter of fact, in the history of humanity, especially in our age, there are millions and billions of people whose needs are not met to love, be loved, adopted. If the conditions continue like this, man can become the preparer and implementer of the great slaughter, that is, the apocalypse. When the biological and trust needs of the person are not met, what can happen when the love and adoption needs are not met, drug addiction, aggression, murder, hippieism, conversion to primitive religions, robbery, war, conflict, etc., in advanced societies such phenomena and events. The reason for such undesirable facts and events is not only lovelessness. There are many economic, political, social and cultural reasons for this. However, one of the important reasons may be that the need to love, be loved and embraced is not met.","PeriodicalId":254239,"journal":{"name":"Innovare Journal of Social Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130012195","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, his political carrier was short and shadowed with failures. However, his contribution toward cultural legacy of Indian intellectual history is profound and amazing especially in the field of inter-religious dialogue. He was the icon of cultural pluralism. Religious exclusim, radical ideology, religious fundamentalism, and communal forces have shadowed the ethos of cultural pluralism and secular tendencies of contemporary world, hence put the peace of the planet in threat. Before Dara Shikouh, many saints, reformers, and liberal ideologists tried to promote mutual cooperation and peaceful coexistence between adherents of various religions, cultures, and ethnicities, but Dara’s efforts were unique in various manners in this regard. He has given a model of religious toleration, which was short lived but still has relevance and can be helpful in many ways in the present times for the promotion of socio-religious harmony between Muslims and Hindus. The present study will try to examine and explore the contribution of Dara Shikouh in the promotion of inter-religious understanding in Indian context through historical analysis of his thought.","PeriodicalId":254239,"journal":{"name":"Innovare Journal of Social Sciences","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123869340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the banking industry, the use of computer-assisted audit tools and techniques (CAATTs) by auditors in combating fraud has become necessary, in the face of emerging challenges. Therefore, this study seeks to assess perceptions on the adoption of CAATTs in fraud detection among deposit money banks (DMBs) in Nigeria. A structured questionnaire on the study variables was developed and a research survey approach was used to harvest information from auditors and audit managers in 20-listed DMBs and the big-four audit firms in Nigeria. One hundred and ninety-nine copies of the questionnaire were properly filled and the data were analyzed using frequency tables, histogram, bar-chart, and the Kruskal–Wallis test, all with the aid of the Statistical Package for the Social Science. The result of the analysis revealed a moderate adoption of CAATTs among the banks. Further results indicated that the educational level of auditor is a major social-demographic variable influencing adoption of CAATTs. The study concludes that educational exposure is a determining factor in the adoption of CAATTs for fraud detection among banks in Nigeria. The study recommends that policymakers and practitioners in the banking sector should include CAATTs into present auditing practices and future laws.","PeriodicalId":254239,"journal":{"name":"Innovare Journal of Social Sciences","volume":"102 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129803083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Instead, they should focus on farming until all their economic difficulties are resolved.
