Obviously this process is due to human limitations and expanding scope of personal space of information which has become an exhausting and difficult process. Use of technology and tools related to PIM could facilitate this procedure. This survey study aims to investigate PIM behavior and its four activities among graduate students in the University of Birjand and was performed on the basis of digital environment. Population of this study was all graduate students at the University of Birjand in the 2013-2014 academic year. Self assessment questionnaire was used to collect information. The results show that the overall PEVI and all four activities among graduate students at the University of Birjand were less than estimated desired rate and there were significant differences between PIM in various course studies, also among master's and doctoral students. The fonts have its effect in the continuation of digital documents and the need of fonts cannot be overemphasized in digital world, when one comes to preservation of Indie script documents for India digital libraries. Gurmukhi script is one of the most prominent scripts of India and is used to write Punjabi Language. Punjabi is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world with more than 2 million users only in India. Due to such large number of users, the digitalization of language becomes apparently useful. Earlier Gurmukhi fonts were developed using ASCII character encoding scheme which was basically meant for English language and not intended to provide direct support to foreign languages. Moreover Gurmukhi fonts were developed without following any mapping standardization which leads to development of numerous fonts with different mapping tables. As of the evolution of different mapping schemes for different fonts the substitution between two Gurmukhi fonts leads to information loss in documents. This paper makes an attempt to demonstrate and understand the loss of information because of Gurmukhi font substitution by another with an experimental setup. Many steps have been undertaken throughout the world at different levels for carrying research in this area. Preservation of cultural heritage is deemed of utmost importance for tracing the evolution of different civilizations and preserving the same for linking the present with rich past. Arts and Crafts are one such important category of cultural heritage items and provide valuable information about the life style of any nation. This study is an attempt towards identification and preservation of famous woodcraft art of Kashmir (India). With influence of modern art and rapid socio-economic changes, woodcraft art is gradually declining throughout the valley. Thus, the knowledge about such crafts needs to be documented and provide access to in a more organised manner in order to preserve cultural richness for future generations. The Survey method is used for identification of different woodcraft items of historical importance. Digital images, description and relevant historical information pertaining to each artifact was collected and included in the collection. In this context, a program between the Community College of Philadelphia and Drexel University to provide research experience to minority students was implemented based on the hypothesis that learning about science and engineering is more effective if it is paired with the challenge of independent research in a specifically collaborative \"micro-environment\", as for example in active research laboratories. Six minority undergraduate students (three male, three female) were selected from a pool of twenty applicants. Each student independently selected a Drexel faculty advisor and corresponding research group best aligned to their interests within the first two weeks of ten-week program. From the outset, library integration underpinned the program. To this aim, students were personally introduced to key library professionals and digital library search tools and databases were immediately employed to review at least three relevant journal articles to their research foci, which assisted to form the basis for independent research proposals. By week four, students presented research plans before a panel of faculty and student judges. In order to complete the program, each student produced final deliverables - an oral presentation, technical poster and paper describing their work Students demonstrated familiarity with basic research methods and universally reported increased interest in STEM education and careers, with many continuing to work in their labs beyond the program's formal duration.
