In this paper, it is considered a different approach regarding the electrical energy systems as power systems that are controlled with the use of microprocessors, taking as reference the situation from 100 years ago. New tendencies that can be found in the reform of electrical engineering curricula are discussed and also some invariants.","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"164 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122176663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For PTs, internal and external failures as well as the planned (maintenance) events were considered.Time to failure, time to repair, mean time between events and its progress over time were probabilistically estimated. The system uses an Arduino Mega for processing the collected data from a MEMS microphone breakout board and a specialized graphic equalizer chip and for controlling the LED lights.The system is designed to be in the low cost range so an independent or debutant artist can acquire it.","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123296474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main elements impacting the optimal operation of the wireless battery charging systems are: load resistance, mutual coupling factor and the parameters of secondary coil. It is assumed that the two magnetically coupled coils operate at the same resonance frequency, which has a common value for both circuits, source and receiver. The mode the two coils are connected, influences the values of the optimum efficiency and maximum amount of active power transferred to the load, with the best results for the \"series-series\" connection. The magnetically coupled systems must be able to ensure a fast and reliable charging of ultra-capacitors used for the storage of energy. Whereas charging the ultra-capacitors is a fast process, the standard inductively coupled circuits can deliver maximum power only if the impedance of the load reaches a well determined value. This value strongly depends on the shape and dimensions of each coil, as well as the space between the coils. The impedance of the load must be brought to an optimum value, according to the request for optimum efficiency in conditions maximum active power transfer. The procedure involves inductivity adjustment for the secondary coil, accompanied by determination of tuning capacitance at resonance. Optimal efficiency value and maximum real power transferred to the load have been determined through parameter analysis.","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"214 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115502841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They provide data concerning the energetic capacity of the area. Each review is based firstly on the environmental data monitored for an extended period, at least two years, according to the international rules. These complex databases prove and assure the economic feasibility and future efficiency of the power plants. The paper presents a new solution for recording and storing the environmental measurements, performed during four years with masts having 80 m height. They cover a larger area from the interest zone. Firstly some aspects referring to the mast's characteristic and installation are mentioned. Some observations relating to the influences induced by the masts presence are also briefly illustrated. Elaboration of the database was a challenge, due to the 12 instantly recorded parameters at a time interval of 10 minutes (some of them even at 10 seconds) for four years. Besides these main parameters, some other data were stored, referring to the energy possible to be produced daily, with wind turbines or PV panels. The method of compacting the data is original, to use small amounts of computer memory. With the daily collected values and stored the average, the maximum and minimum values for the wind velocity, temperature, solar radiation, pressure, and humidity were calculated, separately, for each day and month, from the data measured at a time interval of 10 minutes. Some dedicated software was used to realize specific reports referring to the wind farms efficiency, for different classes of wind speed and direction. Another part of the database was structured for extreme values, stored separately. A particular chapter is dedicated to the measurements of the temperature, pressure, humidity and their influence in the solar power plant realization. With the recorded data by numerical modeling a future wind power plant was estimated. Finally, the paper ends with numerical results, some conclusions, and references.","PeriodicalId":253583,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115794711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
