Vitamin C berperan sebagai antioksidan didalam tubuh. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian vitamin C terhadap kadar serum LDH dan kualitas hidup pada pasien LNH di RSMH Palembang. Penelitian ini merupakan pilot study dengan uji klinik terbuka, dilakukan mulai Februari 2021 sampai Mei 2021. Terdapat 15 subjek penelitian (usia 18-60 tahun) diberikan suplementasi Vitamin C 2 gram perhari selama 8 minggu. Sebelum dan setelah perlakuan diperiksakan kadar LDH, serum vitamin C, mengisi kuesioner FFQ (asupan vitamin C) dan kuesioner EORTC C30 (kualitas hidup). Didapatkan penurunan kadar LDH antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada kelompok low grade (p = 0.008) dan pada kelompok high grade (p= 0,000). Didapatkan perbaikan kualitas hidup antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada kelompok low grade (p< 0,05). Didapatkan korelasi negatif kuat pada kelompok high grade antara kadar vitamin C dengan kadar LDH sebelum perlakuan (r= -0,75; p= 0,031) dan sesudah perlakuan (r= -0,819; p= 0,013). Pada kelompok high grade setelah perlakuan didapatkan korelasi positif kuat antara nutrisurvey vitamin C dengan skala fungsi (r= 0,790; p= 0,02) dan korelasi negatif kuat dengan skala gejala (r= -0,74; p= 0,03). Suplementasi vitamin C mempengaruhi penurunan kadar serum LDH pada semua stadium klinis pasien LNH dan mempengaruhi perbaikan kualitas hidup serta mempengaruhi korelasi antara kadar vitamin C dengan komponen skala gejala kualitas hidup pasien LNH stadium lanjut atau high grade di RSMH Palembang.","PeriodicalId":252478,"journal":{"name":"Sriwijaya Journal of Medicine","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129507265","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This disease could occur due to various factors, such as the habit of not washing the fruit before consumption. Consumption of fruits helps meet nutritional needs to protect the body from various diseases. This research aimed to determine whether there is STH egg contamination in fruits sold at the Jakabaring Central Market. This research was a descriptive-observational study. The fruit sample were collected from Jakabaring Central Market. A total of 50 fruits samples in this study consisted of Citrus sinensis, Cucumis melo, Ananas Comosus, Musa sp., and Citrullus lanatus The sample processing was carried out using the sedimentation method. About 200 grams of fruit skin samples were immersed in 0.2% NaOH. Microscopic observations were made at the Biooptic Laboratory and Medical Chemistry Laboratory of FK Universitas Sriwjaya. A total of 9 (18%) samples were showed positive results of STH contamination, which were 7 samples of pineapple Ananas comosus (14%) and 2 samples of watermelon Citrullus lanatus (4%). From the 9 positive samples, 35 Ascaris lumbricoides infertile-decorticated eggs were found. Thus, contamination of Ascaris lumbricoides eggs in fruits were detected and its non infective stage Jakabaring Central Market Palembang City. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant association between body fat percentage and incidence of prehypertension.METHODS. This study is an analytic study with cross-sectional study approach. Data collection was carried out with a total of 106 respondents aged around 17- 22 years. This researched was conducted from August to September 2019 at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science of Atma Jaya. Flexibility in the human body is the range of abilities of certain joints or groups of joints in functional unity to move optimally,smoothly and pain-free. Lumbar flexibility is one of the most important factors that support daily human movement activities, such as walking and bending. Decreased lumbar flexibility occurs as human ages, this is also influenced by other related musculoskeletal complaints such as low back pain. Songket craftsmen generally have complaints of low back pain, due to the position and duration of work. This study was conducted to determine the relation of low back pain complaints with lumbar flexibility among weaving craftsmen in Palembang.Method. This research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional design using total sampling technique. Subjects were 31 weaving craftsmen in the city of Palembang. Lower back flexibility is measured using the Sit and Reach Test method. Data were analyzed using the Gamma Correlation test.Results. There is a significant moderate relation with a negative direction between lower back pain and lumbar flexibility in songket craftsmen (p = 0.022). The study shows that below normal lumbar flexibility scores were found in 11 people consisting of 9 male subjects (29.03%) and 8 subjects age 18-27 years old subjects (25.80%).Conclusion. Anaemia is a frequent complication of the CKD and contributes to the increased morbidity and mortality of the patients. Diagnosis or treatment of anaemia in PGK is still a challenge due to multifactorial. Hepcidin, a peptide that has been known as an acute-phase protein, plays a vital role in the regulation of iron metabolism. Hepcidin is known to correlate with ferritin, a parameter of anaemia screening which is commonly examined during this time. In addition to the role of pathophysiology anaemia in CKD, hepcidin is currently widely researched because it is suspected to contribute also to the pathophysiology of bone mineral disorders in PGK. Current research shows that the concentration of vitamin D is inversely proportional to the concentration of hepcidin and is positively associated with the concentration of haemoglobin and iron.
