Each professional work determines activities that support occupational safety and health at the workplace. Lack of proper working conditions but also the time of exposure to dangerous, burdensome or harmful factors has an impact on the effectiveness of the work performed. Lack of balance between work and leisure in turn results in a decrease in work efficiency. The scientific and didactic work of academic teachers is related to the occurrence of diversified occupational hazards with particular emphasis on those that are the cause of musculoskeletal disorders. In this elaboration, the research, analysis and evaluation of the work effectiveness of academic teachers have been carried out. A questionnaire and a direct interview have been used as a research method. In addition, the pain intensity in individual parts of the body has been assessed in the last 12 months depending on the age of research and teaching staff using the NMQ questionnaire (Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire). For the purposes of the study, the survey was supplemented with the VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) scale to assess the severity of pain. In relation to the area of their activity it primarily focuses on the quality of services provided, which can be verified e.g. on the basis of timeliness of deliveries or accepted complaints. This allows for examining the quality after providing the service in order to take future pro-quality actions. However, is it possible to affect the quality of services provided before their provision? The transport process itself is preceded with a range of actions taken within the framework of detailed planning and organization, which can significantly influence the quality of services. The decisions made at the management level are conditioned by many factors determining the course of future events, however, this is not always enough to make the process run uninterruptedly. Therefore, it is important to structure basic actions at the initial stage so as to allow the smooth conduct of the decision-making process for the specific task in order to subsequently focus on the detailed analysis of the actions planned. In the paper, the author attempts to characterize the fundamental factors affecting the decisions taken during the planning and organization of the transport process. The objective of the conducted research is to verify initial decisions and their significance for the improvement in the quality of transport services provided. Maintenance of machines and, consequently, stability in the field of process quality is identified on the basis of specific management requirements according the machinery safety in food industry, also with respect to the sphere of their construction, production, distribution, and in particular exploitation. The food industry on global markets is characterized by a large variety of consumers. Therefore, both needs and requirements can have a very wide range, also with regard to quality criteria, care for the natural environment, development of technologies as well as new products introduction. Trends defining dynamics and competition in the food industry include a large number of factors, that require effective management, e.g.: quality ingredients of foodstuffs, preparation of products, maximum product safety as a measure of quality, application of modern production technologies (fast filling and packaging installations). Care for the safety of machinery and equipment used in industry and food processing is a guarantee of manufacturing products of the highest nutritional quality for consumers. The article contains conclusions and recommendations regarding creating a safety culture based on the awareness of threats and the ability to respond to them. The aim of the article is to analyze trainings on AT (antiterrorist) security procedures conducted in critical infrastructure (CI) enterprises and enterprises which are subject to mandatory protection. The theoretical system of reference is based on the issues regarding security culture and sociology of work. The basic problem was identified - incorrect wire diameters after galvanizing and specific tools and methods were used to analyze this problem and look for its solution. The potential of Pareto analysis, SPC method, control plan, 5WHY analysis was used. As a result of the analyzes carried out, the source cause was identified - contaminated containers dispensing the preparation maintaining the temperature in the galvanizing unit. There are in this article, comparison crack resistant of testing reinforced concrete (RC) beams on the shear with such variable parameters like presence or absence internal reinforcement, different shear span, and presence or absence external composite reinforcement. Shear span (relative span to effective depth ratio) was acquired the following values: a/d=2, 1.5, 1. For internal reinforcement, rebar’s A240C with diameter 8 mm and steps 100 mm was chosen. The composite FRCM system was like external reinforcement with three stripe of composite fabric with width 70 mm and step 100 mm. Eight RC beams were tested. After testing, we discovered that the most influenced on the serviceability capacity was shear span. Internal transverse reinforcing increased shear strength on the same level and it was independent from shear span and other factors. Only quantity of reinforcing determine level of increasing shear capacity. FRCM system is efficient strengthening system, which significant increase shear crack resistant for RC beams. The aim of every business is to increase profits. Reducing the cost of tools can also contribute to this. Utilising the DOE method to reduce the durability of removable cutting plate, as describe the article, is one of way, how to apply this method in practice. The DOE method enables find factors that are the most relevant to the production process and determine their best values. Using this method, you can set the selected inputs so that, the process achieves the desired results with maximum stability and resilience. The article contains a brief overview of Minitab software by which the collected process data was analysed. The core of the article describes how to solve the problem using the singular phases of the DMAIC cycle. Each of these phases has its own specific aim, which logically defines what activities each step is aimed at. DMAIC is extended variant of the process improvement model based at the Deming circle PDCA. Six sigma methodology is used as a standard procedure for project planning and realisation. These incidents may affect the customer's satisfaction or dissatisfaction. Therefore, these incidents can be a source of very valuable information for the enterprise about the quality of the services it offers. The problem, however, is their analysis, because such incidents can affect different aspects of the service, but also, as mentioned earlier, can have a positive or negative impact on customer satisfaction. The Critical Incident Technique (CIT), often mentioned in the literature, can be used for such an analysis. With this method, it is possible to isolate situations that are typical of the negative and positive feelings of the customers, as well as to determine the frequency of their occurrence. The purpose of the papers was to analyze the quality of services offered by the chosen catering enterprise with use of CIT. The research took form of a direct interview with customers after delivery of the chosen service. Data obtained on this basis was analyzed: all incidents were first divided into groups and categories as well as positive and negative incidents, and then statistics for individual categories were presented. Momeni","doi":"10.2478/cqpi-2019-0051","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2478/cqpi-2019-0051","url":null,"abstract":"\u0000 This article presents results of numerical modelling, simulation and test bench experiments of a hydraulic direct-acting relief valve was used as a safety valve. The analyzed safety valve was placed in a system consisting of a fixed-speed pump, a control valve, a hydraulic cylinder as an actuator and a second pressure valve in the load line used as a payload generator for the cylinder. In the first step mathematical model of the system was formulated in the form of a system of ordinary differential equations. Next, simulation model was created in Matlab/Simulink. Simulations were carried out for different values of the actuator payload. The obtained results include time series of pressure, flow rate and displacement of the actuator piston. In order to confirm simulation results, a test bench was built and series of experiments were carried out. High compliance of simulation and laboratory results was obtained.
