Senyawa aktif yang terkandung dalam rimpang kunyit (Curcuma longa L.) mampu bekerja sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri dari ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit (Curcuma longa L.) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan cara refluks menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan menggunakan metode difusi paper disk dengan masing-masing konsentrasi ekstrak 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% b/v. Kontrol positif yang digunakan adalah Ciprofloxacin sedangkan kontrol negatif yang digunakan adalah DMSO. Hasil skrining fitokimia ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, fenol, tanin dan terpenoid. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ekstrak etanol rimpang kunyit dapat menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa pada konsentrasi 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% dan konsentrasi 40% merupakan konsentrasi yang memberikan diameter zona hambat terbesar terhadap kedua bakteri uji yaitu 8,63 mm dan 7,8 mm. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Kata Kunci : \u0000 \u0000 \u0000aktivitas antibakteri, Curcuma longa L., Staphylococcus aureus,  \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) is one type of medicinal plant that belongs to the Zingiberaceae family. The active compounds contained in the Curcuma longa L. rhizome can work as antibacterial. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract of Curcuma longa L. Antibacterial activity testing was carried out using the paper disk diffusion method with each extract concentration of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%. The positive control used was Ciprofloxacin while the negative control used was DMSO. The results of phytochemical screening of the ethanol extract of Curcuma longa L. rhizome contain alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, tannins and terpenoids. Banyak hand sanitizer yang mengandung etanol dan alkohol dengan kadar 60% -95% tetapi kandungan alkohol dalam hand sanitizer dapat menyebabkan resiko kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh gelling agent Carbopol 940 terhadap sifat fisik sediaan gel hand sanitizer. Konsentrasi yang digunakan untuk gelling agent Carbopol 940 yaitu 0,5%; 1%; 1,5%. Uji sifat fisik meliputi uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji viskositas, uji daya sebar dan uji daya lekat. Hasil penelitian sifat fisik sediaan gel hand sanitizer minyak atsiri daun kemangi yaitu peningkatan kadar gelling agent menyebabkan warna gel semakin pudar, wujud semakin kental, peningkatan viskositas, peningkatan daya lekat dan penurunan daya sebar. Berdasarkan uji sifat fisik sediaan gel hand sanitizer minyak atsiri daun kemangi dapat disimpulkan bahwa (F2) dengan konsentrasi 1% Carbopol 940 adalah formula optimal karena memenuhi semua persyaratan sifat fisik gel. \u0000Kata kunci : gelling agent, carbopol 940, sifat fisik, Ocimum sanctum L. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000Hand sanitizers were effective and inexpensive product that can reduce of microorganims on the skin. Many hand sanitizer have contents up to 60%-95% ethanol and isopropyl alcohol, but using alcohol in hand sanitizer can cause health risks effect. The aim of this work was to determine the effects of gelling agent Carbopol 940 on physical properties of formulation gel hand sanitizer. The concentration that used for the Carbopol 940 gelling agent are 0,5%; 1%; 1,5%. The test of physical properties includes organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, dispersive ability, and adhesion The results of this research on the physical properties gel hand sanitizer of basil essensial oil, showed that the increasing of gelling agent consentrasion, makes the gel getting faded, more thicker, increase of viscosity, adhesion and decrease of dispersive ability. Secara etnobotani, masyarakat Indonesia telah memanfaatkan daun petai cina sebagai obat-obatan diantaranya sebagai obat luka dan obat bengkak. Petai cina diketahui potensial untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut pada penyakit infeksi. Berdasarkan hal ini dilakukan penelitian mengenai identifikasi metabolit sekunder daun petai cina. Metode yang digunakan yaitu soxhlet, uji fitokimia, ekstraksi cair-cair, kromatografi kolom, uji antibakteri mengunakan metode difusi paper disk dengan konsentrasi 10% b/v, 20% b/v, 30% b/v, 40% b/v, 50%. b/v. Pada pengujian karakteristik senyawa metabolit sekunder daun petai cina memiliki potensi yaitu senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, polifenol dan steroid. Pada pengujian antibakteri menunjukkan konsentrasi 50% zona hambat paling besar dengan hasil pengukuran 6,16 mm pada ekstrak etanol dan pada ekstak n- heksana 4,44 mm. \u0000   Kata Kunci:            Daun Petai Cina (Leucaena leucocephala (Lamk.) de Wit)), Ekstraksi cair-cair, Kromatografi lapis tipis, Kromatografi kolom, St \u0000ABSTRACK \u0000One of the plants used as traditional medicine is (Leucaena leucocephala (Lamk.) De Wit). Ethnobotany, Indonesian people have used Chinese petai leaves as medicines, including wound medicine and swollen medicine. Chinese petai is known to be potential for further development in infectious diseases. Based on this, a study was conducted on the identification of secondary metabolites of Chinese petai leaves. The method used is soxhlet, phytochemical test, liquid-liquid extraction, column chromatography, antibacterial test using paper disk diffusion method with a concentration of 10% b / v, 20% b / v, 30% b / v, 40% b / v, 50%. b / v. In testing the characteristics of secondary metabolites of Chinese petai leaves, they have the potential of alkaloid compounds, flavonoids, tannins, polyphenols and steroids. Penggunaan ekstrak etanolik dalam bentuk kental sangat tidak efisien dalam pemakaiannya, sehingga perlu dibuat dalam bentuk sediaan topical, misalnya gel. Penggunaan Karbomer 934 sebagai gelling agent dapat meningkatkan konsistensi basis yang akan berpengaruh terhadap pelepasan zat aktif di dalam gel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi kadar basis Karbomer 934 gel ekstrak etanolik daun jeruk purut terhadap sifat fisik gel dan aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Gel dibuat dalam 4 formula dengan konsentrasi basis Karbomer 934 yaitu 0,5 %, 1%, 1,5%, dan 2%. Gel diuji sifat fisik (organolepstis, homogenitas, pH, viskositas, daya lekat, daya sebar, dan uji hedonik) dan daya antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Data dari uji sifat fisik dan pengukuran diameter zona hambat anti bakteri dianalisis dengan statistika Uji Kruskall-Wallis dan Mann-Withney Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa variasi konsentrasi Karbomer 0,5 %, 1 %, 1,5 % dan 2% sebagai gelling agent gel ekstrak etanol daun jeruk purut berpengaruh terhadap sifat fisik gel dan aktifitas antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Semakin besar konsentrasi Karbomer 934, viskositas semakin besar dengan FI= 3079 cP.s, FII= 8135 cP.s, FIII= 13136 cP.s, FIV= 14307 cP.s, menurunkan daya sebar dengan FI= 5.14 cm, FII= 4.04 cm, FIII= 3.51 cm, FIV= 3.35 cm, meningkatakan daya lekat dengan FI= 0.79 cm, FII= 0.87 cm, FIII= 1.05 cm, FIV= 1.16 cm dan menurunkan efektivitas antibakteri dengan FI= 6.4 cm, FII= 5.1, FIII= 5.8 cm dan FIV= 4.9 cm. \u0000Kata Kunci : gel, gelling agent, Karbomer 934, Citrus hystrix D.C , Staphylococcus aureus. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRCT \u0000Ethanolic extract of kaffir lime leaves (Citrus hystrix D.C) Has many active compounds, antimicrobial activity have been reported numerously. Ethanolic extract of Kaffir Lime leaves can’t directly exposure to the human skin. It can be increased of skin rash and eritema. The extract can be formulated in topical product like gel preparation. The aim of this work was to determine the effect of variations in base levels of Karbomer 934 gel ethanolic extract of kaffir lime leaves on the physical properties of gel and antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus. The gel is made in 4 formulas with a base concentration of Carbomer 934 which is 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%. Gel was tested for physical properties (organolepstis, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, adhesion, dispersion, and hedonic test) and antibacterial power to Staphylococcus aureus. Measuring the diameter of the antibacterial inhibition zone after incubation at 37ºC for 24 hours. Data from the physical properties test and measuring the diameter of the anti-bacterial inhibitory zone were analyzed by statistical with Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Withney test. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, baik secara in vitro maupun in vivo, didapatkan informasi bahwa Ciplukan memiliki aktivitas sebagai antihiperglikemi, antibakteri, antivirus, imunostimulan dan imunosupresan (imunomodulator), antiinflamasi, antioksidan, dan sitotoksik. Selain itu dari berbagai laporan tumbuhan ini memiliki banyak khasiat tidak lain karena memiliki kandungan senyawa kimia yang fungsinya dapat mengobati suatu penyakit, salah satu senyawa kimia yang terkandung dalam tanaman Ciplukan ini adalah senyawa flavonoid. Berdasarkan dari hal ini maka dilakukanlah penelitian dengan isolasi dan identifikasi senyawa flavonoid  yang terkandung dalam batang tanaman Ciplukan, Physalis angulata L. Metode yang digunakan adalah Uji Fitokomia, Kromatograpi Lapis Tipis, Kromatografi Kolom, dan Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil uji fitokimia menunjukan bahwa batang Ciplukan mengandung senyawa Kuinon, flavonoid, saponin, dan monosesquiterpeoid, dan polifenol. Uji KLT dengan eluen n-heksan-etil asetat (7:3) menunjukan kromatogram berwarna biru dengan Rf 0.8 cm. Beberapa fraksi hasil Kromatografi Kolom kemudian di Spektrofotometri UV-Vis menunjukan senyawa tersebut merupakan senyawa flavonoid jenis flavanon. \u0000Kata Kunci : Senyawa Flavonoid, Ciplukan (Physalis angulata L.). \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000The use of plants in Indonesia is widely used as herbal medicines and as an effort to maintain public health. One type of plant that is used as herbal medicines is the Ciplukan plant. In addition, from various reports of this plant has many other properties because it contains chemical compounds whose function is to treat a disease, one of the chemical compounds contained in this Ciplukan plant is a flavonoid compound. Based on this, a study was conducted with the isolation and identification of flavonoid compounds contained in the stem of the Ciplukan plant, Physalis angulata L. The methods used were Phytochomia Test, Thin Layer Chromatography, Column Chromatography, and UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. Phytochemical test results show that the Ciplukan stem contains Kuinon, flavonoid, saponin, and monosesquiterpeoid compounds, and polyphenols. TLC test with n-hexane-ethyl acetate (7: 3) eluent showed a blue chromatogram with Rf 0.8 cm. Penggunaan Antibiotik untuk anak-anak harus diawasi dan dikendalikan karena penggunaan antibiotik yang tidak terkontrol dan tidak tepat dapat berdampak pada kegagalan efek terapi yang diharapkan dan kemungkinan dapat meyebabkan resistensi antimikroba.  Pemakaian antibiotik harus dianalisis untuk mengendalikan resistensi antibiotik.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menilai rasionalitas terapi antibiotik pada pasien anak. Penelitian ini merupakan analisis deskriptif retrospektif dengan pengambilan data purposive sampling. Subjek dari penelitian adalah rekam medis dari bangsal anak RSUD Karawang. Rasionalitas penggunaan antibiotik adalah penilaian melalui metode gyssens. 147 data dianalisis untuk penelitian ini terdiri dari anak laki-laki (54,40%) dan perempuan (45,60%) dengan kasus demam tifoid (53,10), diare (24,5%) dan bronkopneumonia (22,4%). Antibiotic use for pediatric must be watched and controlled because uncontrolled and inappropriate use of antibiotic can impact on failure of expected therapeutic effect and can also cause the possibility of antimicrobial resistance. Antibiotic consumption is must analyzed for controlling the antibiotics resistance. The aim of study The aim of this study was to assess the rationality of antibiotic therapy in pediatric patients. This research is a retrospective descriptive analysis with purposive data sampling. Subject of study are medical record from pediatric ward in RSUD Karawang. Rationality used of antibiotic is asses through Gyssens method. 147 data was analyzed for this study consist of boys (54,40%) and girls (45,60%) with case of typhoid  fever (53,10), diarrhea (24,5%) and bronchopneumonia (22,4%). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis tanaman, bagian tanaman yang digunakan, cara pemanfaatan tanaman, serta kesesuaian antara pengetahuan masyarakat desa Cigunungsari secara empiris dengan kajian etnofarmokologi yang sudah di teliti sebelumnya. Metode penelitian yang di gunakan dengan teknik metode snowball sampling yaitu pemilihan informan di dapat dari rekomendasi informan sebelumnya . Penelitian di lakukan dengan cara wawancara dan penyajian data dengan cara kuantitatif yang dilakukan dengan mengukur persentase sitasi. Hasil menunjukan terdapat 23 jenis tanaman obat yang digunakan sebagai obat oleh masyarakat di desa Cigunungsari Kecamatan Tegalwaru Kabupaten karawang. Bagian tanaman yang sering digunakan yaitu daun sebanyak 69,7%, cara penggunaan yang sering dilakukan yaitu dengan cara diminum sebanyak 73,91%, dan cara pengolahan yang paling sering dilakukan adalah dengan cara di rebus yaitu sebanyak 56,52%, serta tidak semua tanaman memiliki kesesuaian dengan kajian etnofarmakologi mengenai khasiat dari tanaman tersebut. \u0000Kata kunci : Etnobotani, etnofarmakologi, tumbuhan obat, snowball sampling. \u0000  \u0000ABSTRACT \u0000  \u0000Medicinal plants are plants commonly used by people in Indonesia as medicinal ingredients to treat various diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of plants, parts of plants used, how to use the plants, and the suitability between the knowledge of the Cigunungsari village people empirically with ethnopharmocological studies that have been studied previously. The research was conducted by interviewing and presenting data in a quantitative way by measuring the percentage of citations. The results showed that there were 23 types of medicinal plants used as medicine by the community in the village of Cigunungsari. Salah satu bahan alam yang berkhasiat sebagai antioksidan adalah biji limus (Mangifera foetida L.) yang merupakan salah satu spesies mangga dari golongan anacardiaceae yang menyebar di wilayah Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fraksi yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang paling baik pada kernel biji limus dengan metode Bioassay Guided Fractionation melalui reaksi penangkapan radikal bebas DPPH. Penyarian kernel biji buah limus dilakukukan menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Ekstrak selanjutnya difraksinasi dengan pelarut n-heksana, etil asetat, metanol dan air. Aktivitas antioksidan masing-masing fraksi diukur menggunakan spekrofotometer UV-Visible. Hasil menunjukan bahwa fraksi etil asetat ekstrak etanol kernel biji limus memberikan potensi antioksidan yang paling baik yaitu dengan nilai ES50 sebesar 1,164±0.005 μg/mL (sangat kuat), melebih potensi vitamin C sebagai pembandingnya. \u0000 \u0000Kata Kunci: Biji limus, Mangifera, Antioksidan, DPPH. \u0000 \u0000ABSTRAK Antioxidants are very important compounds in maintaining health. One of the natural ingredients has efficacious as an antioxidant is Limus (Mangifera foetida L.) seeds which is one of the mango species from the Anacardiaceae group which spreads in the territory of Indonesia. This study aims to screen the fraction that has the high antioxidant potential of the Lotus seed kernel used Bioassay-Guided Fractionation method through scavenging reaction of DPPH as free radical. The extraction of the limus seeds was carried out using the maceration method with 96% ethanol. The extract was then fractionated with n-hexane, ethyl acetate, methanol, and water solvents. The antioxidant activity of each fraction was measured using a UV-Visible spectrophotometer. Untuk memerbaiki data resistensi terhadap mikroba diperluka suatu upaya untuk mengendalikan terjadinya resistensi antimikroba. Kegiatan yang dapat dilakukan salah satunya adalah menggunakan antimikroba dengan bijak yang dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan evaluasi penggunaan antimikroba kuantitatif dan kualitatif secara berkala. Penelitian dilakukan di ruang rawat inap dewasa salah satu rumah sakit swasta di Kabupaten Karawang dengan kegiatan kajian analisis tingkat pemakaian antimikroba dengan metoda sesuai dianjurkan WHO ATC/DDD menggunakan aplikasi AMC tool. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metoda deskripsi analitis dengan purposive sampling pada 165 pasien dengan 141 () menggunakan terapi dengan antimikroba dan 24() menggunakan terapi non antimikroba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai antimicroba comsumtion index (ACI) sebesar 121, 57DDD/100 hari rawat dengan pemakaian jenis antimikroba tertinggi adalah golongan sefalosporin ceftriaxone 67,851 DDD/hari rawat, etambutol 16,23 DDD/hari rawat (13,36%) dan sefuroksim 11,89DDD/hari rawat (9,79%) \u0000 \u0000Kata Kunci : resistensi antimikroba, ATC/DDD, Antibiotika, DDD/100 hari rawat, Sefalosporin \u0000 \u0000ABSTRACT Antimicrobial resistance is an incident that occurred during this vulnerable, one of which was caused by Unwised use of an antimicrobial. To repair a resistance to microbial data need an effort to control the occurrence of antimicrobial resistance. Programs that can be done by using antimicrobial wisely by doing an evaluation of antimicrobial use quantitative and qualitative periodically. Research conducted in adult inpatient one private hospital in Karawang. Study of antimicrobial usage level analysis method in accordance with recommended WHO ATC/DDD using AMC application tool. Methode of research analytical description with purposive sampling on 165 patients with 141 patients using therapy with antimicrobial and 24 patient use a non therapeutic antimicrobials. Pengidentifikasian ini dilakukan dengan empat tahap yakni, uji fitokimia tanaman, ekstraksi dengan cara maserasi, memekatkan ekstrak kemudian melakukan mengidentifikasinya. Kandungan senyawa kimia aktif dalam daun petai cina adalah alkaloid, saponin, tanin dan flavonoid. This study aims to determine the secondary metabolites of the leave and provide the information about secondary metabolites from petai cina (Leucaena leucochepala [Lamk.] de.wit) leaves. Identification was carried out with three stages are phytochemical, extraction by maceration with 70% ethanol and identifying it.
