Teachers rarely pay attention to life skills, such as collaborative skills. Collaborative skills are one component of 21st century skills, which are important to develop. Problems in learning chemistry in addition to the lack of life skills developed, there is also the students’ perception that chemistry is difficult. These perceptions affect the quality and learning outcomes. One effort that can be done by the teacher is to choose an effective and efficient learning model. Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) is one of the variations of models in cooperative learning. The implementation of the TGT model is expected to have a positive impact on students’ achievement and collaborative skills. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of TGT, related to the subject of “Acid and Base” on students’ achievement and collaborative skills toward chemistry lesson. The study was a quasi-experimental, with posttest only design. The population was ninety students of eleventh grade a private high school in Sleman District. The participants were forty-five students from two different classes, which were assigned to the experimental (N = 23) and control groups (N = 22). Sampling in this study using purpose sampling techniques. Hypothesis testing shows that there are significant differences between students’ achievement and collaborative skills between the implementation of TGT learning and conventional learning. Students’ achievement and collaborative skills are better in TGT learning.","PeriodicalId":250907,"journal":{"name":"3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CHEMISTRY, CHEMICAL PROCESS AND ENGINEERING (IC3PE)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133469632","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Simply by generating the second chiral center on the dipyrromethene ring over the B-F substitution reaction, the Ax*-BODIPY will then turn to plausibly separable diastereoisomers, a column chromatographically separable molecule. By taking meso substituted p-bromophenyl-2,6-diethyl-1,3,5,7-tetramethylBODIPY as a successful model of conducting fluorine substitution reaction with methanol and ethanol, submission of racemic axially chiral meso substituted o-methoxyphenyl-2-bromo-6-ethyl-1,3,5,7-tetramethylBODPY to (S)-BINOL under the same conditions was unfortunately not succeded. The alternative route which is over B-Cl BODIPYs has successfully been synthesised from 2,4-dimethylpyrrole and 2-methoxybenzoylchloride followed by bromination, Vilsmeir-Haack condensation with 3-ethyl-2,4-dimethylpyrrole, and BCl3 chelation. However, the substitution of S-BINOL to the meso substituted o-methoxy-2-bromo-6-ethyl BCl2 BODYPY (11) was remaining unsuccessful.","PeriodicalId":250907,"journal":{"name":"3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CHEMISTRY, CHEMICAL PROCESS AND ENGINEERING (IC3PE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132575929","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

COD is the need for oxygen to oxidize organic substances contained in one liter of water. Chemical or chemical oxygen requirements for the oxidation reaction of waste materials in water. Chemical Oxygen Demand is an important water quality parameter because it can assess the effect of effluent from wastewater to be discharged into the receiving environment (water bodies). In this study, COD analysis was carried out using optimum conditions at 700 W and an air injection flow rate of 0.2 lpm, 0.02 M concentration of Na2SO4 electrolyte, 0.5 cm tungsten anode depth, 60°C of operating temperature, 100 mg/L initial phenol waste concentration, Fe2+ ion concentration 20 mg/L, volume of sample solution 1.5 L, and stirring speed 2 mot. The results showed a decrease in COD levels which only reached 71.14% due to cyclic chains in the widest area. Free heme is toxic to the parasite so that it converts into hemozoin through heme polymerization. This research aims to synthesize aryl amino alcohol derivative from the reaction of epoxide compound from turpentine oil containing α-pinene with naphthylamine. The antimalarial activity of the compound was tested using heme polymerization inhibitory assay. Firstly, the epoxidation of α-pinene of turpentine oil was conducted using H2O2 as an oxidizing agent with Al2O3 as a catalyst. The mixture was filtrated then the filtrate was added by naphthylamine. The product was isolated using preparative thin layer chromatography method. Product identification was carried out by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), infrared (IR) spectrophotometer, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (1H-NMR) and Electrospray Ionization-Mass Spectrometer (ESI-MS). This research was obtained a compound of 2,6,6-trimethyl-2-(naphthalen-1-ylamino) bicyclo[3.1.1]heptan-3-ol. The synthesized compound has a lower IC50 value (1.114 mg/mL) compared to chloroquine (1.31 mg/mL) so that it is potential as an antimalarial drug.","PeriodicalId":250907,"journal":{"name":"3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CHEMISTRY, CHEMICAL PROCESS AND ENGINEERING (IC3PE)","volume":"130 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124247573","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These residue are usually discharged into the environment with no further utility. The objective of this study, therefore, was to extract the resin from URF and test the physical properties, based on SNI Revision 1671-2010. The result showed higher resin yield (4.1%) under the following condition: solvent to solid ratio of 5:1, maceration time of 24 hours, and resin separation with a rotary evaporator at 70 °C for three hours. Besides, the physicochemical evaluation of all parameters, including resin content, water content, ash content and colour were following super quality of SNI Revision, 1671-2010.
