Qualitative studies selected in our review describe users' experiences of using diverse ICT tools in raising healthcare awareness, along with the authors' interpretations of the findings. The results were synthesized using a meta-ethnography technique to present the results of the findings. Among the studies reviewed, 15 papers met the inclusion criteria, covering a range of ICT and IT tools used in healthcare awareness, including data acquisition, patient monitoring, and knowledge management services to enhance the overall provided health awareness techniques. Our review found that ICT tools allow users and healthcare providers to increase level of awareness through e-health, telecare, and m-health methods. This paper reviewed the utilization of technology in increasing human awareness in the health domain with the intention of applying the findings to cyber security awareness body of research. This review also suggested that ICT tools are influential in providing a sustainable structure for communication and information exchange to enhance human awareness.","PeriodicalId":250863,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference in Engineering Applications (ICEA)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126519617","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the other hand, advances of Field Programmable Gate Arrays tools allows designs based on High-Level Synthesis, allowing a faster and an easier implementation on hardware of solutions for complex problems. However, a significant amount of time and still some level of hardware design expertise are required to implement a convolution neural network on hardware. To solve this difficulty a platform to emulate a generic parameterizable-based convolution neural network on a programmable gate arrays is developed, giving the freedom to specify the network topology and tune the parameterization. This platform, developed in C language and synthetized through High-Level Synthesis, is prepared to configure a floating-point convolution neural network as a “lego”. This approach became attractive because the designer focuses on the network topology, without in-depth understanding of the underlying hardware a requirement.","PeriodicalId":250863,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference in Engineering Applications (ICEA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133888717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, it is important to elaborate a study in situs to improve energy maintenance. However, in practice, commercial meters results in an unbearable cost for the institution. To solve this issue, it was developed a prototype of a low-cost voltage meter device with data logging and data transmission via LAN with IoT capabilities to be used at several stations. Among the most effective exploration techniques to investigate aquifers, geophysical methods as Time Domain Electromagnetic (TDEM) provides underground resistivity distribution at different depths depending on the frequencies range for a specific area, which highlights the water presence. Here we present a case study where TDEM technique was successfully used to locate a perched aquifer in Terceira Island, Azores, helping TERAMB Company to decide the position of a new well for freshwater. The well was requested by Azores government authorities aimed to aquifer water monitoring due to possible fluid leakage and consequently water pollution by urban waste disposal materials at surface. The modelled top aquifer surface based on the TDEM data interpretation fits with the observed water table measured in the vicinity wells. The perched aquifer shows an abrupt water level decreasing due to the presence of a fault plane and pyroclastic rocks that produces a weakness plane where the water escapes. This comprehensive study facilitates the design of new drilling for groundwater contamination monitoring in volcanic complexes.","PeriodicalId":250863,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference in Engineering Applications (ICEA)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131844852","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The results have been obtained during the participation within European programs, but also by the direct involvement of the authors in the process of evaluation and accreditation of academic programs at national and international level. In this paper, a step forward is proposed by presenting a case study analysis regarding the accreditation of master study domains in Romania. A master domain includes few different programs connected within a certain academic field of science. In order to have the right to deliver a diploma for a specific bachelor program any university must follow a process of authorization and consequently an accreditation one. For the master level, a new different procedure and corresponding methodology have been recently developed. The assessment is only achieved at a domain level and only for the accreditation. The universities thus have a greater level of autonomy in organizing the master programs by comparison to bachelor programs. Starting from this reality, related to the quality of higher education, a number of opportunities and threats could be identified.","PeriodicalId":250863,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference in Engineering Applications (ICEA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129516130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
