The objective of this review is to analyze the urban insertion of the first historical and culturally valued buildings in the city of Crissiumal, located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), in order to understand how they influenced the urban formation. For this, initially, the first buildings built in the city were identified, and then their insertion and their influences in relation to the formation of the urban fabric were analyzed. The research presents an analysis of maps in relation to the macro parceling, through the relationship between full and empty spaces, based on the proposal of the Inventory of Configurations of Urban Spaces - INCEU. Through research and analysis carried out from the maps created, it was possible to perceive that the buildings implanted in the immediate surroundings of Praça 25 de Julho had an influence on the urbanization and formation of the city. These buildings housed important places for society, such as City Hall, Church, Schools and Commerce. But few municipalities have a detailed diagnosis of this infrastructure quality, especially around school areas. Given this reality, this article aims to present the results of a study that evaluated the factors that affect the walkability of students on the route between the Alencastro Urban Public Transportation Station to the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso (Cuiabá Campus). The methodology consisted of applying the walkability index (ICam) developed by the Institute for Transportation and Development Policies (ITDP Brazil) in 2018, which allows the following themes to be evaluated: sidewalk, mobility, attractiveness, public safety, road safety, and environment. The results show that the evaluated path needs some priority interventions related mainly to the themes Public Safety and Attractiveness, with short-term actions that should be implemented by the local public authorities. The deactivation of railway stations and/or their disuse in several municipalities and the lack of appropriation by cities and users of this urban transport equipment are a risk to their resistance/existence, weakening the important historical-cultural-social role to which they belong. The New Railway Station (Estação Ferroviária Nova) in Campina Grande city, Paraíba state, representing one of its facilities and greatly influencing the development of the city, is an example of the detrimental process due to the public and private sectors´ neglect, with its buildings (listed by IPHAEP) in ruin and without any pretensions of public policies to soften and/or reverse this process. This work aims to discuss the importance and structuring role of the New Railway Station in Campina Grande, as well as the historical and formal aspects that characterize signs of abandonment and how they can impact the uses and appropriations by the users. To accomplish this, steps were needed to collect information, such as field surveys; bibliographic and documentary research; literary reviews; databases in the city hall, among other forms of data composition. The authors collected subjective data from 200 participants (100 in each park) about perceived sound sources, sound annoyance generated by specific sources, functionality and familiarity of the parks, demographic data, and motivation for using the parks. The equivalent sound pressure levels were monitored over 15 minutes at various spots inside parks. Subjective data were analysed using the IBM SPSS 27® statistical software, and a Two-step Cluster Analysis was adopted. The cluster analysis results satisfactorily demonstrated the soundscape characterisation of the investigated parks. Such results showed that users are not bothered by the sounds of the region in Bacacheri Park and are slightly or moderately bothered by traffic sounds in the Botanical Garden. It was possible to verify the profile of the parks' users. Most women aged 18-35 have higher education and live near the parks. In this context, the general objective of this study is to analyze the active mobility of the city of Passo Fundo/RS (Brazil), in particular, the bike paths and public transport in the city. Thus, initially, bibliographic research was carried out on the subject addressed, then data collection was carried out on the main points of public transport and cycle paths in the analyzed city. The window, as an object of study, is configured as the element that promotes the connection between the architectural space and the urban space, however, many windows of buildings in disuse no longer open and, many times, do not allow a great relationship between them. what is internal and what is external. Our observations were carried out in different parts of Santa Catarina using the Google Street View tool and the interpretations regarding the locations were described following the cartographic method of doing to know. Thus, maps and montages were organized that allow the visualization of intersections. In this sense, maps serve to promote a link between different territorialities that have common characteristics. This exercise allowed the visualization of singularities in each studied clipping. A work that is produced as an unfolding of other actions and that seeks to build a cartography of wood architectures from the macro-region of the State of Santa Catarina, to a microterritoriality, analyzing the details of a wooden shed in the municipality of Lages-SC. The data used come from bibliographic references and clues about wood architectures derived from a fieldwork, with exploratory character and subject to discovery, surprise and unforeseen circumstances. In this historical process, the architecture in madeira catarinense, in general, accompanied the process of historical, cultural and economic transformation of its context. It begins with indigenous housing, methods brought by Portuguese settlers with the incorporation and adaptations to local resources, changing, later, with the arrival of European immigrants, especially during the nineteenth century, in view of the diversity of cultural traditions and the intensification and mechanization of logging. Thus, it seeks to draw, through data and clues, cartograms that map the wood architecture, in order to characterize its cultural traits, technological roots and vernacular ties. As it contributes to the adoption of a sustainable urban mobility policy, walking should be encouraged in internal displacements carried out by users of higher education institutions. To support the analysis of mobility in this type of institution, this paper sought to identify the main methods and techniques that can be used to evaluate the quality of walking spaces, internal and external, to University campuses, through a systematic review of literature. For this, Scopus, MDPI, ScienceDirect and Sage Journals platforms were adopted to screen articles published between 2005 and 2021, with the following keywords “walkability, campuses, university” and “pedestrian, “campuses, university”. The analysis of 26 papers, which were part of the sample size, made it possible to identify: i) objective, ii) methodology and iii) technique used among the researchers, and showed that predominantly the research carried out in these environments incorporates not only the spaces within the campus, but its surroundings, or users' access to the campus. Therefore, identifying methods and techniques to evaluate this infrastructure's quality is important to contribute to the analysis and diagnosis, which are fundamental for urban management. Given this context, this article aims to identify, through a systematic literature review , the main methods and techniques for evaluating the spatial quality of sidewalks from the micro, meso and macro scales. The Scopus platform database was used and the search delimited the period from 2016 to 2020 for scientific articles. The analysis of 42 articles allowed us to identify: (1) their main characteristics (most relevant authors evaluating this theme, countries where the study was carried out, year of the research´s development and journals with the highest number of publications on this theme, among other general aspects), (2) the main methodologies and techniques for the evaluation of spatial quality, and (3) the importance of the scale of analysis to evaluate urban infrastructure for pedestrian mobility and its influence on the analyses of the results.
