Commonly called rubble, civil construction waste (RCC) causes major environmental impacts when an order of priority of actions in forwarding the management of discarded materials is not observed. It is a situation that requires the application of practices that aim to reduce, reuse and recycle (3R's) the waste generated by civil construction at construction sites. This work aims to present good practice guidelines, through an action plan, for the reduction, reuse and recycling of RCC in construction sites. The methodology included a systematic review of scientific articles considering the indications of the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses). It also included a field research, with seven case studies, with five works located in the city of Recife and two works located in the city of Caruaru, both in the State of Pernambuco, in which we sought to investigate waste management in the works and the actions reduction, reuse and recycling carried out at construction sites. The results showed the identification of reduction actions applied to the management of services, materials and equipment used in the execution of works and good practices of reuse and recycling for the main construction materials, such as: concrete, wood, plastic, plaster and metal. The main contribution of this work was to identify and describe good practice guidelines for better management of civil construction waste in terms of the 3R's. \u0000 \u0000KEYWORDS: Reduction. reuse. This article presents a diagnosis of the management of CDW and their environmental impacts in the municipality of Caruaru, Pernambuco. The construction and demolition waste management Index (CDWMI) was calculated. This index uses the environmental sustainability indicators: management instruments, management programs, collection and screening, and treatment and disposition of the CDW. The results of this research were compared with the results of six municipalities in the metropolitan region of Recife (MRR). The evaluation of the management of the municipality of Caruaru regarding the CDW indicated the low performance of the municipality since, of the four groups of instruments used, three of them were low grades, and only in the indicators of instruments for policies obtained the average grade. With the diagnosis of a low degree of sustainability in relation to the management of CDW, it is evident that there must be a restructuring in the management of the municipality so that what is established and agreed upon in the Municipal Solid Waste Plan (MSWP) is commenced.","PeriodicalId":250730,"journal":{"name":"Revista Nacional de Gerenciamento de Cidades","volume":"379 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116575363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With an increase in extreme events and the population living in urban centers, more and more cities will experience the effects of disasters. Although there are policies aimed at dealing with disasters, we know that the current measures are not enough to minimize this scenario. To better understand the relationship between urban planning and disasters, this article carries out a Systematic, based on PRISMA. The methodology allows the analysis of the literature with greater rigor, transparency, and the possibility of replication. For this study, articles in English were considered, with the following terms: disaster, disaster risk reduction, hazard mitigation, urban planning, and master plan. The main findings of this review show us that good urban planning, guided by resilience and risk management, with broad social participation, can act in reducing vulnerability, risks, and the impact of disasters in cities.","PeriodicalId":250730,"journal":{"name":"Revista Nacional de Gerenciamento de Cidades","volume":"419 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133104085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Beyond the exponential historical value, the quarter has a proper dynamic, a psychosocial reality developed from the movement led by shipments and landings and, later, by the Fish Market that there is installed on behalf of the facility in the landing of fish, fruit and vegetables comings from \"river down\". This article focuses on the urban reality of the quarter that grew to the edge of Vila Real do Bom Jesus, with the proposal to discuss the abandonment allowed by the public power, one of the reasons for the exit of traditional families, who had left backward only huge houses, slowly invaded by prostitution, the allurement of children for sex and by the trafficking of narcotics. The proposal is to analyze the Docks Area, aiming to (re)signify it with an architectural revitalization of the neighborhood to meet, more specifically, the demand interested in historic tourism.","PeriodicalId":250730,"journal":{"name":"Revista Nacional de Gerenciamento de Cidades","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129501899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the implementation of the railway, eight railway stations were built in the mountains and on the continental plain of the city being, the first, Samaritá. Given this importance, we justify this research in order to build an understanding about the apogee and decay of railway and industrial heritage in the city, under the section of this station. Based on historiographical research through maps, photographs and documents it was possible to clearly understand the implementation of the railway bed in the continental region of the city, where new urban groupings derived from the railway tracks had emerged. The vast majority of São Vicente's railway stations have been abandoned or demolished, and the last exemplary on the Vicentine plain that remains is samaritá station. Thus, the work analyzes either the emergence of the railroad, from the perspective of the building that generates the first occupation in the continental plain of the city and its process of deterioration, when presenting the current situation of the railway complex.","PeriodicalId":250730,"journal":{"name":"Revista Nacional de Gerenciamento de Cidades","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125044095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Walkability is a preponderant factor in the quality of urban space, as it is about the characteristics and conditions that a place presents for walking. In this context, this research carried out an analysis of walkability in four urban space clippings of the city of Blumenau/SC. A method for evaluating the walkability was applied, and thus the indexes for each area were identified; furthermore, interviews were carried out through a questionnaire with the objective of knowing the profile of the walker, his/her characteristics and perceptions. Thus, it could be concluded that the walkability in the researched areas shows a direct relationship between the attractiveness of the space, either by the safety conditions in all senses, by points of attraction, such as shops and services or outdoor living areas, or even by a pleasant sightseeing, added to the conditions of urban infrastructure of the sidewalks, much more than just the characteristics of the rugged terrain.","PeriodicalId":250730,"journal":{"name":"Revista Nacional de Gerenciamento de Cidades","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116366387","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the last decades, the increase in the number of urban displacements carried out by foot highlights the importance of developing methods that seek to analyze the quality of this infrastructure to propose improvements for these users. In this context, this paper aims to present the result of the evaluation of the urban mobility infrastructure destined for walkability for practical and leisure purposes in two areas of an important road axis located in the city of Araçatuba, São Paulo, using the Walkability Index of the Macro and Microscale (in Portuguese the acronym ICMME), proposed by Pires (2018). The methodology allows the evaluation of sidewalks and road intersections based on indicators associated with Safety, Security, Comfort, and Attractiveness. The results show that the sidewalks and intersections located in area 2, intended for leisure walking, offer greater Safety, Security, Comfort, and Attractiveness to users. On the other hand, the sidewalks and crossings of area 1, which are used by people predominantly for displacements with utilitarian purposes (study, shopping, and work) are of lower spatial quality, especially in relation to elements associated with Safety and Security (of the sidewalks) and Safety and Comfort (of the intersections) of users. The results made it possible to identify positive and negative points of the pedestrian infrastructure and can be used to formulate public policies for urban mobility aimed at walkability.","PeriodicalId":250730,"journal":{"name":"Revista Nacional de Gerenciamento de Cidades","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126904739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These are spaces that can increase the offer of Ecosystem Services (SEs – Serviços Ecossistêmicos), which are essential to promote well-being and a healthy environment to humans. The objective of this study is the assessment of SEs offered by a green space located in São Paulo City. The Praça Alfredo Di Cunto, also known as Horta das Flores, was selected for this study. It is a public green space located in the Mooca Subprefecture, which is a region with a low green area index (2 to 5 m²/inhabitant). To assess the SEs offered by Horta das Flores, the methodology proposed by Gaudereto et al. (2018) named Índice de Serviços Ecossistêmicos para Áreas Verdes (ISEAV – Index of Ecosystem Services for Green Areas) was applied. We highlight the following results of our study: support SEs, represented by the vegetation cover and permeable areas, contribute to the achievement of goals SDG 6, SDG 13 and SDG 15; regulating SEs contribute to nutrient cycling, because litterfall is not removed; and provisioning SEs contribute to SDG 2, because Horta das Flores has a vegetable garden with food plants including unconventional ones. Horta das Flores offers many SEs, thus contributing not only to the quality of life of the regulars, but also to a more sustainable city and community (SDG 11), as it is a safe and inclusive green space.","PeriodicalId":250730,"journal":{"name":"Revista Nacional de Gerenciamento de Cidades","volume":"53 41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121931847","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of materials and construction methods, with energy efficiency, adaptable to environmental conditions and non-polluting has become a requirement for the progress of the sector and the future of cities. Thus, the objective of this bibliographic review is to provide an overview of the application of biocementing promoted by bacteria in the recovery of structures and soil stabilization. This technique uses minerals resulting from bacterial metabolic activities, which occur at room temperature, such as microbiologically induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP), to produce cementitious materials with structural functionalities, durability and without harming the environment. Several applications of this process have been proposed in civil engineering, such as the bioconcrete in the remediation of fissures, in the restoration of stones cultural heritage and in the improvement of the physical-mechanical properties of the soil, changing its resistance and permeability. Understanding how this biotechnology can change current construction strategies and solutions, integrating nature-based systems into construction projects, will be discussed in this study.","PeriodicalId":250730,"journal":{"name":"Revista Nacional de Gerenciamento de Cidades","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129033369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
