Besides, they reduce the power factor and energy quality. recently, the application of three-phase pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifier has been risen quickly due to breakthrough advancement in the power devices. This converter is widely used in many applications such as electrical drives and renewable energy conversion systems. It offers plenty of advantages, mainly sinusoidal input currents and minimized harmonic distortion and unity power factor. This work presents an improved sensorless control for performance enhancement purpose of the PWM-rectifier. The proposed control strategy uses the virtual flux principle with second-order generalized integrator (SOGI) in order to overcome the accompanying drawbacks of using pure integrator of low-pass filters for estimation. The integration of improved virtual flux estimator with direct power control saves the cost of using many voltage sensors which can increase the reliability and effectivity of the control system. This article presents a simplified mathematical function with the capability to define the threshold conditions for memristor operation and a new pattern to describe and modeling of the unwanted current leakage in the subthreshold situation for HP TIO2 memristor. These special features provide a more realistic scheme of TIO2 memristor behavior. Our proposed mathematical function is adaptive with the majority of previous prominent works around the ionic drift modeling of HP memristor and is easy to use in SPICE simulators so can be utilized in a wide range of designs and applications. The process of coverage path planning aims to search the route which covers every point of a given region of interest. The approach consists of using UAV aerial mapping to build occupancy grid maps and generating coverage path based on Iterative Structured Orientation Algorithm. The resultant path can be dispatched to the marsupial vehicle for the coverage area fruit counting. The evaluation results show that our proposed method is both feasible and efficient. We introduce its integration into the MicroBlaze based SoC architecture that constitutes the processing part of the sensor node. The aim is to speed up the predicting process by giving the decision locally at sensor node level. The decision tree based predictive model is simulated and trained using MATLAB tool for the tree generation; prior to its hardware development using the high level synthesis approach. The performance of the decision tree classifier in terms of accuracy and recall are about 75% and 0.88, respectively. The squirrel cage induction motors are one of the most important induction motors in industrial and modern industrial applications. The reasons are the low cost, robustness, and low maintenance. In general fault causes unwanted vibrations in rotating machines and the rolling element bearing faults affect the induction machines with a significant percentage. It is a major problem among different faults because it can cause catastrophic damage. Early and accurate detection of rolling element bearing faults are essential for both effective fault management and fault isolation. This paper presents a detailed study of rolling element bearing faults in squirrel cage induction motors using two recent diagnostic techniques. The first technique uses the stator current signal based on the fast Fourier transform. According to this technique, it is carefully checked the spectral content of the stator current. The second technique uses the stray flux signature analysis. Experimental tests for different conditions as low load, full load operation, healthy and faulty states of the induction motors have been performed. Industrial heavy-duty gas turbines (HDGT) are, especially, designed for power generation. They are specified with long life and higher reliability compared with other types of gas turbines. Generally, the gas turbine is associated with thermal system and electrical system. Thus, the dynamic interactions between the gas turbine and coupled systems require a high accuracy in simulation models of gas turbines. Therefore, increasing attention in the study of heavy-duty gas turbines models has been acquired with diverse amounts of difficulty and merit. Thus, modeling and simulation of the behavior of HDGT under accurate operating conditions play a significant role for efficient design as well as reliable manufacturing practice. In this aspect, several gas turbine models have been developed based on the different parts of heavy-duty gas turbine: the speed governor, the fuel system, the combustion chamber, temperature control and the turbine. This paper presents modeling and analysis of the behavior of heavy-duty gas turbine to understand the power system problems. This is achieved by a complementary and analysis of the frequency dependent model (FD), using Matlab/Simulink. Therefore, we conducted three series of experiments applied to a subset of Hub4 Broadcast-News database using a Support Vector Machine (SVM) as classifier and the Mel Frequency Spectral Coefficients (MFSC) as speakers’ features. In the first series of experiments, we investigated the effect of the number of features in order to obtain the minimum number that gives a Good Verification Score (GVScore). In the second series of experiments, as there are many types of kernel functions, the appropriate one for speaker verification is investigated. In the last series of experiments, we investigated the GVScore with regard to speaker gender (Male vs. Male, Female vs. Female and Male vs. Female). In our approach, we have used the MFSC as features extraction, which are calculated in both training and testing sessions.
