It is a kind of infectious disease caused by Plasmodium which can endanger human life and health. The examination of Plasmodium blood smear is the main method to diagnose malaria. Applying machine learning method to automatically analyze malaria smear images is very important for rapid diagnosis and surveillance of malaria. However, the existing machine learning methods need further improvement in feature extraction and generalization ability. For this reason, this paper introduces an ensemble neural network to automatically learn more accurate image features and achieve automatic classification of malaria images. In addition, we propose an adaptive threshold control method for cell segmentation, and then put the cell as center to extract images to obtain the training dataset, which solves the noise problem caused by sliding window cutting. And the idea of transfer learning is applied to solve the problem of shortage of training data. We additionally apply the proposed method to malaria image recognition and achieve 94.58% accuracy. The experimental results show that the model has good robustness and generalization ability and provides a valid data processing method for clinical malaria rapid diagnosis application.","PeriodicalId":248664,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2020 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Medicine and Image Processing","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115505870","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This indexing is based on inflation, which is a property to generate larger tiles hierarchically, and independent of rotation and scaling of the pattern. By the indices of specific tiles in a pattern we can communicate information, as we do with Quick Response (QR) codes and Augmented Reality (AR) markers. We present a decoding method with these applications in mind, in which inflation is applied to identified tiles retrieving embedded code using pattern matching based on the geometric hashing. We also present a technique to identify specific tiles in an invisible way. We generated a pattern composed of 6251 tiles in which we can potentially embed 69813 bits of information using our method.","PeriodicalId":248664,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2020 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Medicine and Image Processing","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131643054","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The local tissue is damaged during ischemia, but restoration of the blood perfusion, however, exacerbates the lesions caused by ischemia, thus leading to systemic inflammatory response and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS). The mechanisms that induce intestinal ischemia-reperfusion injury are complex and many pathological processes are involved in the syndrome formation, such as apoptosis, calcium overload, oxygen-free radical damage, and energy attenuation. In this study, we tried to monitor the dynamic changes of ischemia-reperfusion injury in the small intestine of rats by photoacoustic tomography. The results show that photoacoustic tomography has the potential to monitor the changes of blood perfusion in mesenteric vessels in real-time and to observe the structural features of the small intestine. This provides a new tool for studying the mechanism of intestinal ischemia-reperfusion injury.","PeriodicalId":248664,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2020 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Medicine and Image Processing","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115350370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The key idea of this point set registration framework is to theoretically consider Student's-t mixture model as a generalization of the well know Gaussian mixture model. In the proposed framework, we firstly model the correspondences of two point sets by using Student's-t mixture model, where one point set is considered as data observations and the other one as components of Student's-t mixture model respectively. Secondly, we separate parameters of registration parameters and transformation from the mixture model by using negative log-likelihood function for getting a simple optimization. Thirdly, we get general solutions of registration parameters and transformation in cases of rigid, affine, and non-rigid by EM method. Finally, we show the similarity of deformation parameters between Gaussian mixture model and the proposed framework based on Student's-t mixture models, and theoretically analyze the reason of similarity from the view of the Bayes method. We compare our framework with other state-of-the-art point set registration methods based on finite mixture models on both various 2D and 3D point sets identified from clinical medical images on rigid, affine, and non-rigid cases, where the proposed framework demonstrates its statistical accuracy and robustness, outperforming other competing methods.","PeriodicalId":248664,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2020 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Medicine and Image Processing","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116395959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Speckle is a kind of scattering that leads towards blur. Speckled signal values swing from high to low in concerned pixel. Speckle is not a random error. It removed by further processing of image using suitable deconvolution technique. The digitalization of the problem leads towards linear equations of an ill-posed matrix --- Krylov operator such as steepest descent useful tool to handle such situations. The methods discussed in this paper are modified residual norm steepest descent (MRNSD) and conjugate gradient for least-square problems (CGLS). These two techniques variation of steepest descent, hence the iterative algorithm in nature. Like many other iterative algorithms, these two practices suffer from semi-convergence. This paper focus on the deblurring of image reconstructed from the received data in industrial tomography along-with effective way to tackle semi-convergence.","PeriodicalId":248664,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2020 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Medicine and Image Processing","volume":"1990 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125506185","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Prolonged hyperglycemia can lead to peripheral vascular disease and capillary complications. Therefore, it is critical to monitor the blood supply of arterioles in the extremities of diabetic patients for prompt treatment. In this study, we investigate the potential of photoacoustic tomography (PAT) for monitoring hemodynamic changes in finger vessels. We used PAT to visualize vascular perfusion of healthy volunteers and diabetic patient.
