Walnut kernels are widely used in the food industry, but, at the same time, the shell obtained at the stage of cleaning the kernels is usually disposed of by burning. Given the multi-ton volume of walnut fruit processing, the output of production waste is also significant. When processing even one ton of walnuts, an unused product remains – a shell weighing over 550 kg, which requires removal and disposal, that is, additional costs, when such an organization of production is possible, in which the shell will be concentrated and processed to isolate valuable biologically active substances, on the basis of which new domestic drugs of various therapeutic and preventive actions can be developed. The article presents the results of studies of the mineral composition, amino acids, and bioflavonoids in walnut shells. Three varieties of nuts of Kazakh selection were taken as the basis of the study as raw materials. According to the results of the analysis, in the future it is planned to develop a technology for obtaining an extract that will be used as a food additive in a soft drink, enriching it with the missing nutritional components.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. Disposal products, such as radioactive waste and others, may cause particular danger. In this regard, this requires regular monitoring of radioactive waste storage sites and the degree of migration of radionuclides and heavy metals in environmental objects. This review article considers the uranium ore region’s current data for the content of radionuclides in soil, vegetation, and their migration in the “soil-plant” chain.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. Wild plants are not only a source of genetic resources but are also important for the economy. Species of the genus Rosa L are among the most significant wild-growing fruit plants in Kazakhstan. The genus rosehip (Rosa L.) belongs to the perennial plants of the Rosaceae family. More than 20 wild rosehip species grow in Kazakhstan. In modern plant growing, wild rose is used as a medicinal, food, and ornamental plant. Determination of the species composition, and its morphological and genetic characteristics is the basis for the rational use of plant resources. The aim of our research was to study the biodiversity of plants of the genus Rosa L. based on the morphological characteristics of plants and their molecular genotyping. In this study, we identified 6 plant species of the following genus: Rosa kokanica (REGEL) REGEL ex JUZ., Rosa spinosissima L., Rosa majalis Herrm. (Rosa cinnamomea L.), Rosa acicularis L., Rosa laxa Retz, Rosa canina L. by morphological characteristics and performed identification using the rbcL chloroplast marker. The data obtained can be used for a comparative study of the biodiversity of rosehip plants.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. During storage, it is important that the strain fully preserves their growth, morphological, biological, toxic, antigenic and pathogenic properties. A diagnostic drug of high sensitivity and specificity is prepared from a strain that has completely preserved its properties.Breeding stallions and mares that have had trypanosomiasis are not amenable to treatment. Of great importance is the diagnosticum used for the examination of animals to prevent the disease. The collection strain of Тrypanosoma equiperdum used in practice is stored only in a living organism, that is, in the body of laboratory animals (white mouse, rat and guinea pig). In this regard, the search for alternative ways of its development and storage is an urgent task. The conducted scientific studies on the preservation of viruses and bacteria in various nutrient media and at low temperatures (-196 oC) are found in literary sources. For the first time, we conducted a study of ways to preserve the Тrypanosoma equiperdum strain outside of a living organism (laboratory animals). Blood parasites of Тrypanosoma equiperdum were first isolated from the genital tract of a sick mare, which were initially transmitted to a rabbit by vaccination in several stages in order to adapt to them a white mouse, rat, guinea pig. Currently, this strain of trypanosomes is stored in the laboratory of parasitology of Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute. The strain of Тrypanosoma equiperdum is very intolerant to the external environment, it does not form spore capsules. A sample of blood parasites from an infected mouse is inactivated within 1.5-2 hours, that is, it dies, so it is scientifically important to find ways to preserve it outside the body.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. The article presents experimental data on the production of raw materials in the natural and climatic conditions of north-eastern Kazakhstan. The possibilities of seed and vegetative propagation of Ural licorice have been investigated in order to obtain plant raw materials. In the experiment, we used planting materials in the form of beans, seeds, and cuttings collected in the natural growing conditions of the Pavlodar region (floodplain and steppe landscapes). 10 variants of the experiment were laid, in which various planting materials and biochar were used as fertilizer. The results of the experiment allow us to conclude that the best results were obtained when propagating licorice from the Ural cuttings. The most productive way of obtaining raw materials was option 8, where cuttings of steppe samples were used and biochar was used as fertilizer. The technology of rejuvenation of old age natural massifs of licorice has been tested to stimulate vegetative propagation. Rejuvenation led to an increase in the number of clonal shoots at a distance of up to 2.5 m from the mother bush. The authors observed at a distance of more than 2.5 m from the mother bush, attenuation of the vegetative potential.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N.
