According to the Statistics Agency in 2020, the apple cultivation area in Kazakhstan is about 36 thousand hectares with a gross har-vest of 259.1 thousand tons. The fire blight of fruit crops, in particular apple trees, is one of the most harmful infectious diseases, rapidly spreading and cre-ating a constant threat to the apple plantations of Kazakhstan. In order to avoid the further spread of fire blight in the territory of Kazakhstan, it is very important to grow varieties of fruit trees resistant to fire blight. The article pre-sents the results on the spread of fire blight on zoned, introduced, and promis-ing apple varieties in plantations of the main industrial zone of horticulture (Turkestan, Zhambyl, Almaty regions). As a result of the bacteriological analy-sis of the selected samples, 8 bacterial isolates were extracted from the varieties such as Aport, Voskhod, Sinap Almaty, Maksat, Golden Delicious, Kon-fetnoye, Pinova, Pink Lady, which, and were like the causative agent of fire blight by morphological and cultural characteristics. Bacterial pathogenicity testing on immature apple fruit showed positive test results confirming the presence of the bacterium Erwinia amylovora, the causative agent of fire blight.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. One of the critical control points of tumor development of several oncological pathologies is the receptor for cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4). Monoclonal antibodies against the CTLA-4 receptor are laboratory-derived humanized antibodies. An essential step in the humanization of antibodies is the production of murine hybrid cells producing monoclonal antibodies. This article describes studies of mice monoclonal antibodies against a recombinant human CTLA-4 receptor (rCTLA-4) expressed in Escherichia coli. To obtain strains of hybrid cells producing monoclonal antibodies were used methods of hybridoma technology. As a result, hybrid cells producing monoclonal antibodies to CTLA-4 were obtained. Strains of hybrid cells have high productive activity in vitro and in vivo. Monoclonal antibodies react with rCTLA-4 protein, belong to the class of IgG1, and have a high binding constant. They efficiently bind to the rCTLA-4 receptor and block the interaction of rCTLA-4 with the commercial recombinant human B7-1 Fc and rhesus monkey PD-1 hFc proteins. These monoclonal antibodies to rCTLA-4 can be used to obtain recombinant humanized monoclonal antibodies to the human CTLA-4 receptor.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. An access to a wide range of organic food with high nutritional value, full of vitamins and minerals, can be valued as a fundamental component of food safety. Therefore, a deep and versatile elaboration of the raw material potential of local flora is very important, not only in scientific purposes, but also as a strategic plan to ensure food safety. More than ten thousand species of plants are found on the territory of Kazakhstan, and most of them have not been completely studied for further application. Most plants of the Cabbage (Brassicaceae) family have a high economic value and are cultivated in various countries as fodder, technical, melliferous, food and decorative resources. There are studies on the value of Sverbiga as a source of bioactive substances and the use of young shoots and leaves in the national cuisine. In the course of the study, we found that the roots of Sverbiga have a fairly good nutritional and biological value. The roots of Sverbiga contain a significant amount of carbohydrates and minerals, which makes this type of wild-growing raw material promising for further development of food products and bioactive food supplements. Studies show that in order to preserve its biological value it must be stored at the temperature of -18 °C for no more than 3 months.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. Cellular senescence is a significant contributor to various age-related neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Some external factors, such as exposure to ionizing radiation, can accelerate aging. In recent years, it has become known that the post-transcriptional control system of gene expression by short single-stranded RNA molecules, called microRNAs, is of great importance in the regulation of normal physiological processes and in the pathogenesis of many diseases, including age-related diseases. This article reviews the biological effects of radiation, the effects of radiation on aging in various cell types, and the relevant molecular mechanisms of microRNAs.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. The surfaces communicate with the external environment. The functions of the mucus layer are determined by its components, including glycoproteins that provide physical and chemical protection to the epithelium. The glycoproteins also perform the exchange function with the external environment. Even at the dawn of evolution, glycoproteins were exteriorly organized to protect the first multicellular animals from external microorganisms, pathogens, and toxins. It is interesting to note that the structure of the glycoproteins has similarities with the structure of antibodies, especially in terms of the relatively constant polypeptide chain and its glycosylated sections, containing oligosaccharide chains with different variants of monosaccharides. The review discusses modern concepts of the mucus layer evolution, the structure of glycoproteins, the peculiarities of its synthesis, degradation, and under-researched functions of the mucus layer. It is assumed that the mucus layer has virucidal and bactericidal capabilities due to circulating enzymes of the digestive tract, which can accumulate in the mucus layer and degrade any microorganisms, regardless of their variation, mutations, and recombination. Therefore, the normal production of digestive tract enzymes can provide non-specific protection from external pathogens entering through open systems of the body. Understanding these processes can significantly limit the spread of existing and new infections.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Biologics created based on soil microorganisms make it possible to change approaches in the technology of growing agricultural plants. When selecting strains of potential producers of biological products, an important aspect is the ability to have a positive effect on the growth and development of plants, providing them with mineral nutrition, adaptation to various stresses, protect soils from depletion, restore their natural fertility and maintain the biological diversity of plant communities. The aim of the study was to select promising microorganisms with high growth-stimulating activity against crops such as wheat and lentils. As a result of the primary screening, 76 isolates of soil bacteria were isolated, 16 of which were selected as the most active isolates exhibiting pronounced antimicrobial properties. Further, 7 strains of microorganisms were selected from them (D.acidovorans Ш-1, St.maltophilia КЖ-1, B.cereus ТБ-1, E.cloacae КБ-2, E.ludwiqii ТБ-2, E. cloacae ШБ-2, E.cloacae Т-3), which showed a high degree of germination of plant seeds. It was found that the bacterial suspension of each of the strains P.fluorescens АК-4, St.epidermidis СhK-4, B.cereus ТБ-1, E.cloacae КБ-2, E.ludwiqii ТБ-2, E.cloacae ШБ-2, E.cloacae Т-3 has a high growth- stimulating effect on the growth performance of wheat. When treating lentil seeds with a culture liquid of each of the strains B.cereus ТБ-1, E.cloacae КБ-2, E. ludwiqii ТБ-2, S.marcescens ТК-2, E.cloacae ШБ-2, E.cloacae Т-3 growth rates increased in all studied concentrations. As a result, the article identifies the most active microorganisms with high growth-stimulating activity and increasing the germination of plant seeds. Thus, the selected promising bacterial strains are recommended as a basis for the development of biological products that increase seed germination and stimulate the growth of agricultural plants.","PeriodicalId":248021,"journal":{"name":"BULLETIN of the L.N.
