However, its performance degrades with increasing the fan-in. In this paper, a novel fast CMOS circuit that is based on a current race is presented and compared with the conventional CMOS logic from the points of view of area, power consumption, and average-time delay. The scheme is verified by simulation adopting the 45 nm CMOS technology with Vdd = 1 V and a 25% reduction in the average propagation delay for a six-input NAND gate is achieved.","PeriodicalId":247318,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Electronic Devices, Systems and Applications (ICEDSA)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125038769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we present a QoS-based routing protocol named VanetQoS which purpose is to accommodate real-time and multimedia applications with specific quality of service (QoS) requirements. Therefore, routing such applications data over a vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET) consists of selecting the most appropriate route that complies with required QoS. Our proposed protocol uses an algorithm which is based in multi-constraint path (MCP) problem, and which essential task is the selection of the best path among several available ones, by using and evaluating a composite formula expressed in terms of the QoS requirements such as required bandwidth, maximum delay and jitter, and minimum link expiry time. In this paper we present the architecture and design of our protocol, and provide performance results, which show the benefits of using our scheme for the purpose of routing multimedia traffic in VANET. The performance evaluation is achieved through simulation experiments using OMNET++ simulator.","PeriodicalId":247318,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Electronic Devices, Systems and Applications (ICEDSA)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123510487","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed designs consider utilizing the unique features of the memristor element, crucially, its variable average memristance with the amplitude, phase and frequency of the sinusoidal excitation signal. The proposed QAM demodulator eliminates the need for any carrier recovery circuits. Moreover, both of the proposed QAM and BFSK demodulators are all passive circuits. The designs are further verified by the transient circuit simulations using the memristor linear dopant drift model.","PeriodicalId":247318,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Electronic Devices, Systems and Applications (ICEDSA)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126508032","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Developments of computing performance and reduction in the consumption of energy and carbon footprints are among the most important objectives of green computing. Aim of this study is to explore and advance the green computing implementation practices among United Arab Emirates (UAE) organizations. Exploration of the green computing implementations in organizations within UAE revealed the awareness level of mere 41.23%, thus prompting the researchers to propose a model for the successful implementation of green computing. Proposed model derived from literature and validated among employees in various organizations in UAE aims to help organizations to go green.","PeriodicalId":247318,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Electronic Devices, Systems and Applications (ICEDSA)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129283127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has unstable dynamics and therefore requires a special control to stabilize and prevent it from falling and to ensure the possibility of speed control and steering by the rider. This paper discusses the dynamic modeling and controller design for the system. The model of SBC is based on analysis of the motions of the inverted pendulum on a mobile base complemented with equations of the wheel motion and motor dynamics. The proposed control design involves a multi-loop PID control. Building a Web site and publishing it to them should be the beginning of the service cycle, not its end. In other words, it is essential to evaluate the user satisfaction with the design and delivery of online services. To that end, and as a case study, we evaluate the e-services of one of the local e-governments in the United Arab Emirates and link the satisfaction of users to the design of the portal. We collect data from users using a customized SERVQUAL survey and analyse data using the Two Dimensional Mean Value Matrix (TDMVM) method in order to spot what services are most important to users and to what extent they are satisfied with them.","PeriodicalId":247318,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th International Conference on Electronic Devices, Systems and Applications (ICEDSA)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130069212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
