Frequency fault model is developed to analyze the dynamic behavior of the device in term of displacement, frequency and output electrical response. First an analytical model is developed that shows the electromechanical coupling of the device. Crack function along with the dynamic mass is used to develop the resonance frequency of cracked cantilever. Then LTI model of faulty device is developed by integrating the analytical equations using Simulink tool. The LTI model is validated by comparing its results with the FEM design using same design parameters using COMSOL tool. Assuming SAW energy lying within 10 times of wavelength (λ0) from the surface with ∼ 90% energy lying within 1 λ0, layers of different materials can cause a significant variations in SAW velocity. The assumption stated above, herein called as Energy Method, is employed to estimate SAW velocity in layered piezo-substrates. SAW device is fabricated using conventional lithography process and AlN is deposited using non-conformal physical vapor deposition (PVD) technique. The transfer characteristics of the SAW device are then measured using vector network analyzer (VNA) and thus operating central frequency fo is obtained to use in computation of SAW velocity. Based on the results, it is observed that energy method is a suitable choice to estimate SAW velocity with an average error of ∼ 1.6 %. Routing approaches that make routing decisions on the fly during data transmissions are much more suitable for the high mobility and variable density conditions present in the vehicular environment. Receiver-based data forwarding is one such routing approach where the receiving nodes decide whether or not to forward the data packet. However, existing work on receiver based schemes in VANET highlight two issues. Firstly, the unwanted multiple path formation when the receiving nodes are not in transmission range of each other. Secondly, most of the existing receiver-based data forwarding schemes make use of forwarding zone concept which limits the potential contenders thereby reducing the chances of optimal path selection. In this paper, we propose the idea of a receiver-based data forwarding scheme that addresses the above mentioned issues. The proposed scheme avoids multiple path formation by making use of feedback approach. Also, the receiving node decides whether or not to contend for the forwarding right based signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) and geographic progress rather than using the forwarding zone concept. These testable path delays have no effect on circuit performance are called false paths. It has been contended that such false paths should not be detected for test generation to keep off the unnecessary decrease in production. This paper proposes an algorithm framework to deal with these false paths through identification for DFT test. Proposed framework uses an integrated functional RTL circuit, called assignment decision diagram (ADD) which target at structural-level. Identification is done by sensitizing, observability and propagation rules for unified functional RTL circuits. Proposed framework overcomes the limitation of several existing RTL based approaches, such as the need for explicit separation between controller and data path. However, JP puts tremendous load on both feedback and backhaul overhead, thus partial JP was proposed to overcome high overhead signaling. Unlike linear techniques such as zero-forcing (ZF), achieving an equivalent backhaul reduction and presenting a totally free ICI system based on limited feedback channel state information can be done by designing and implementing a multi-start particle swarm optimization algorithm (MSPSOA) as a beamforming (BF) mechanism. The performance of the proposed MSPSOA and ZF BF is evaluated based on the acquired spectral efficiency and utility of internet application such as hard real-time, adaptive and elastic applications. TPO is another variant of metaheuristic optimization that inspired from a plant growth system. In the proposed method, every possible solution denoted as tree-shoots is driven by variables from the root system. The concept is inspired from the propagation of shoot system towards better sunlight. At the same time, the root system receive fitness value which then triggers root extension towards a better possible factor and then supplied to the shoot system. This iterative correlation leads towards optimum solution. However, this application is hindered by lack of adequate infrastructure such as the wireless adaptors. This led to the development of adaptors by organization such as Emerson Process Management, AwiaTech Corporation, etc. The developed adaptors by these organizations are expensive and not easily interoperable with devices from other manufacturers. To overcome this problem, this work proposes development of a low cost and interoperable adaptor. The adaptor will be developed around a wireless mote and a microcontroller. Several organizations such as EMERSON process management, AwiaTech Corporation and Linear Technology have currently embarked on the production of Industrial scale as well as laboratory scale gateways and field devices. This paper presents the formation of a WirelessHART network using a laboratory scale network evaluation kit. The effect of distance on the time of joining the network of the field devices is observed. Generally, ultrasound images could be suffering from some problems such as speckle, attenuation, signal dropout and shadows which make the segmentation process more complicated and inefficient. Due to these problems, traditional segmentation approaches could not be applicable. To overcome these problems, the current study proposed an automatic multilevel segmentation framework for ankle Anterior Talofibular Ligament (ATFL). This framework used the association of active contour and the particle swarm optimization method with curve evaluation and energy minimization capability to obtain the optimized segmented outcomes. It would be more efficiently detect the ATFL ligament in ultrasound images with better interpretation capability. Finally, this study presents various experimental segmented outcomes and corresponding analysis. Gait can be specified in terms of motor skill functions such as walking, jogging running, and jumping. Walking is the basic form in the human gait study. The aim of this paper is to investigate the effect on muscle activities of human walking on lower extremities in a barefoot condition and wearing of athletic shoe. The experimental work is conducted using the surface electromyography to measure the muscle activities on the lower extremities.
