In addition, it presents the dangers of socially vulnerable groups affected by various types of extreme messages. In particular, we are closely watching the seriousness of the impact and potential spread of violent extremism. The world as well as the UN are recommending the need to analyze the actual situation and risk factors of violent extremism inflow into their countries, and to establish countermeasures. Also, multidimensional approach is required because this violent extremism spans many areas, including society, economy, religion, education, and development. In addition, since the motives for participation in terrorism are also analyzed in various ways, including political, religious, cultural, socioeconomic and personal reasons(poverty, social dissatisfaction, curiosity, etc.) serious discussions on violent extremism and terrorism are needed.","PeriodicalId":246265,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association of Criminal Psychology","volume":"146 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123771791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, 39.7% of single-person households said our society is not safe from crime. Accordingly, based on a perception survey on the social safety environment, the study sought to examine the effect of lighting, an element of natural monitoring of CPTED, on fear of crime damage and the influence of lighting on fear of crime damage while controlling other CPTED factors. As a result, it was confirmed that there was a negative correlation between lighting and fear of crime damage. The more evenly the streetlight lights were distributed, the brighter the lighting was, the less fear of crime damage decreased. Among the elements of CPTED, the even distribution of lighting showed the highest explanatory power. This can have a greater effect on reducing residents' fear of crime damage by planning CPTED projects or increasing the installation of streetlight lights than the illumination of lights in CPTED certification.","PeriodicalId":246265,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association of Criminal Psychology","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127339544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the contrary, this means that crimes like real life will be done as if they are real in cyberspace. Furthermore, it also means that cyber crimes that transcend crimes in the real world can occur by reflecting the characteristics of online. The degree of fear of crime can vary depending on the type of fear of crime. Real crimes can be stopped through punishment, but cyber crimes are difficult to punish depending on their methods and characteristics. Therefore, the perception of punishment that individuals have can directly affect their fear of crime. The resolution of crimes such as cybersex crimes is not initiated by criminal justice agencies, but rather by reports from victims or witnesses, and these reports are determined by various factors. Assuming that the actions of victims or witnesses are not rational, and that psychological mechanisms work, it is necessary to conduct research that reflects the characteristics of cyberspace. Therefore, this study investigates the perception of celerity, severity, and certainty, which are the 3 key elements of criminal justice authorities' punishment for cyber sex crimes, and considers the fear of cyber sex crimes through the frame of these three levels of awareness based on the theoretical background. Psychological fear of perceived crime was measured. In this study, the subjects, methods, and main analysis results showed that only the severity of punishment among the perceptions of punishment predicted cyber sex crime fear. Therefore, this study suggests a plan to lower the fear of cyber sex crimes through strict punishment by strengthening the sentencing judgment for cyber sex crimes based on the research results.","PeriodicalId":246265,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association of Criminal Psychology","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130251309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to identify the mechanism of turnover intentions among South Korean police officers by testing the applicability of the turnover process model proposed by Brough & Frame (2004) and Allisey et al. (2014). Results provide empirical support for the proposed turnover process mediation model, indicating the significant mediating roles of job-related attitudes (i.e., job satisfaction, job stress, and organizational commitment) in the link between psychosocial working conditions (i.e., job autonomy, workplace relationships, managerial support, and peer support) and turnover intentions. To improve officers' retention rates in police organizations, administrative efforts must be made to increase officers' attachment to their organizations, enhance job satisfaction, and reduce stress levels altogether by providing career development, stress intervention, peer-support, and leadership training programs.","PeriodicalId":246265,"journal":{"name":"Korean Association of Criminal Psychology","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128806181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to understand the aspects of indirect trauma that occur in the personalization process of the actor's creation of a role, we analyzed through in-depth interviews with five leading actors in Korea. As a result of the study, when an actor plays a role that requires high emotional commitment and extreme physical expression, such as a victim of a crime or a murderer, it is more likely to experience post-traumatic stress than when plays a general role. Psychological pain due to the re-experience of trauma or transfered trauma according to the role affects the entire acting process, and the actor's stress that causes anxiety and obsession also affected the psychological state of the actor.
