The proposed method limits the maximum value of SRM drive supply current. Application of the method results also in improvement of the drive efficiency compared to the classical current control method, so it can be applied to control switched reluctance motors designed to electric vehicles drive. The method may be effective especially in congested traffic. Nowadays, the urban traffic is characterized by frequent occurrence of traffic jams in which motor cars move at small speeds. The sources of supply for electric vehicles are mainly electrochemical batteries. Reduction of the maximum value of supply current allows to extend the service life of batteries and improved efficiency of the drive extends the vehicle range. Limitation of rms value of supply current limits losses in circuit of drive supply.","PeriodicalId":246203,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122789213","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hybrid switching schemes can be used for control of power system with unequal voltages of dc-links. In this case the proposed combined PWM techniques of inverters insure equal magnitude of the fundamental harmonics of the phase voltages for different ratios between dc-voltages of system. Combination of hybrid switching scheme with algorithms of synchronous PWM (for control of separate inverters) assures waveform symmetries of the phase voltages, and this fact has been confirmed by simulations.","PeriodicalId":246203,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (EDPE)","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132686443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
