This paper describes a system that can simulate a performance of Shorinji Kempo with 3DCG animation. Users can freely create a performance by combining six actions from among the eight basic actions and then playing it as 3DCG animation. In order to apply competitive rules to the created performance, the system restricts the choice of basic actions and the body's facing orientation at the end of the performance. The system's utility was evaluated by six members of a university's Shorinji Kempo club. The evaluation results confirmed that this system could be effectively used to support practitioners of the sport in creating original performances for competition.","PeriodicalId":244911,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Culture and Computing (Culture and Computing)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126590747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
