A popular application is the motion simulator for an aircraft or a ship that could be used for training by generating specific motions within the confine of a laboratory. The main contribution of this work is the design and realization of a high-precision simulator with low-cost proportional valves using a simple PI controller for achieving basic motions. A pose-feedback controller has been conceived for the system constructed on the basis of the feedback of the leg lengths and a linearized inverse kinematic model about the neutral position. The design, development, graphical modelling and control of a bio-mimic underwater robot named the Robotic Fish has been presented in this report. The simple and efficient design is inspired from Mother Nature. This robot not only navigates in an underwater environment on its own but also operates efficiently with simple mechanism consisting of two servo motors and a pump assembly. Servo motors enable to obtain swift forward and rotational motion and pump assembly assists deep diving in water. Various sensors help the robot to make intelligent decisions such as obstacle detection, change in direction and also provide valuable information as live streaming, pressure and temperature. In our study of neural network for heart rate time series, the prediction of Left bundle branch block (LBBB), Atrial fibrillation (AFIB), Normal Sinus Rhythm (NSR), Right bundle branch block (RBBB), Sinus bradycardia (SBR), Atrial flutter (AFL), Premature Ventricular Contraction (PVC), and Second degree block (BII) is done using proposed algorithm. The heart rate time series are obtained from MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. The linear and nonlinear features are detected from heart rate time series of each arrhythmia. The 70% of each datasets of features are used to train RBFN and remaining 30% of the datasets of features are used to predict eight cardiac diseases. The inherent advantages of the FO-PID over conventional are its added fractions variables. The FO-PID controller is a generalized form of PID controller in which order of integration (I) and differentiation is any real number. It is shown that the proposed controller, which has five independent parameters (Kp, Ki, Kd, λ, μ) to tune, provides a powerful framework to control PMBLDC motor. The gain of PID controller is obtained by conventional methods of Ziegler-Nicholas (ZN), Cohen Coon (CC) and Amstron-Hagglund (AH). The Oustaloup's method is used to approximate the fractional order. Integration (s-λ) and differentiation (sμ) order is tuned using Nelder-Mead (NM), Interior point (IP) and Active set (AS) algorithm. The controller analysis is presented with the plant to ascertain the performance of the PMBLDC motor. Therefore, Wavelet Transform (WT) techniques are being adopted in PD signal extraction. However due to their inherent shortcomings, online PD measurement may give wrong assessment. This paper proposes an Entropy-Based Wavelet Transform (EBWT) de-noising scheme for PD measurement using entropy distributions to extract real PD signals from noise-corrupt PD signal. This method chooses the best decomposition level first and then de-noised PD signals by selecting optimum wavelet base using EBWT and also compare the results with other methods. Different non-linear statistical approaches have been applied over the past years on this signal to reveal the nature of connection between epilepsy and EEG. In this work we study the post-ictal ECG signals of epileptic patient collected from MIT-BIH database using mono-fractal methods as well as multifractal approach. We compare the results of the same statistical methods with healthy normal group. Result from monofractal analysis such as Rescaled range analysis indicates that the ECG signals of epileptic patients are anti-persistent in nature whereas for healthy normal people it is persistent. Detrended fluctuation analysis also confirms the same fact and declares that ECG signals of healthy normal people are more persistent and more correlated than epileptic patients. Finally we use the multifractal approach on the ECG signals. Initially the images are extracted from pre-recorded videos, from which the faces are cropped automatically. The training dataset is formed with minimal number of images per subject for each emotion. Bi-dimensional Empirical Mode Decomposition (BEMD) is used to decompose the images in its Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMF). Composite Similarity Measure (CSM) based classification has been employed to detect the correct emotion from the images. \"ENTERFACE'05 Audio-Visual Emotion Database\", \"JAFFE Database\" and a database developed in laboratory called \"DCAB database\" are used to test the performance of the proposed method. The advantage of this method is to be able to classify or rank the emotions found in an image or a video even when the image or video is subjected to feature occlusion such as the subject putting on spectacles or sunglasses. Moreover, it is robust to illumination, different view point and background colour of the image or video. The performance is also invariant to the dress, hair style, facial hair or moustache of the subject. Therefore, the thermal monitoring always plays a significant role for identifying incipient faults. Now a days cost effective, reliable and non contact type infrared thermographic inspection system is being widely utilized for monitoring and fault diagnosis. In this paper, thermal images of some electrical equipment have been taken and converted to HSI color model for further processing. Unlike other techniques, instead of gray scale images, in the proposed method hue region has been taken into consideration. Then different gradient based edge detection like Prewitt, Roberts and Sobel are used to identify hot region of the thermal image. Based on some image metrics like Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), the best method is chosen for processing of the thermal image. Lastly, Clustering based Otsu image segmentation method is introduced taking hue region. These methods are tested on 27 numbers of standard thermal images. The proposed technique gives better segmentation results for all images than the standard grey scale approaches.
