Connecting these loads to power supply systems without this transformer is very difficult because of feedback problems, like distortions of the electrical currents and a decrease of the output voltage at the end of the feed line. The method is based on feedback information obtained by estimating the distance from the present state to the switching surface along the optimal trajectory. A fuzzy algorithm is used for the implementation of the control logic. The key of the proposed model is to take into account the armature reaction and magnet demagnetization, hence the shift of operating point at load conditions can be considered. Making use of this model, the PSpice simulation of a typical PM DC motor drive is performed. Apart from the steady-state simulation, transient behaviours of the PM DC motor drive, including start-up, sudden load change and sudden reference change conditions, have been simulated conveniently. The parallel operating VSC handles no active power but only harmonic power. It injects current harmonics of opposite polarity into the supply of that of the harmonics generated by the GTO based VSC. Two common implementations are described and modelled. The rotor flux reference frame is used for both systems. The first is an indirect strategy for impressed stator current control, and the second a direct strategy for impressed stator voltage control. Both were modelled using the dynamic analysis package \"SIMULINK\". The induction motor is controlled to operate in constant flux mode. The scaling factors of input to the controller and output are altered to modify the speed response. For obtaining better steady state response, nested control windows of a lookup table are used. Due to the equivalent series resistance of the electrolytic capacitor, the capacitor current causes a power loss which increases its temperature and may shorten its life time. It is important therefore to estimate the effective value of the capacitor current accurately. This paper presents a detailed analysis of the ripple current of an electrolytic capacitor in a boost-type power factor control circuit. The ripple current is divided into two components, namely the low-frequency and the high-frequency components. The root-mean-square value of the capacitor current is derived for both components. Temperature- and dv/dt-dependent elevated tail current bump was measured that is caused by the minority carrier storage and recombination in the drift region of the device. The measured data is shown to be in excellent agreement with the simulated results over the entire range of temperature. The controllers so designed based on the nonlinear control techniques are applied to a VR motor model (taking saturation into account) with the aim of improving dynamic performance as well as reducing torque and hence speed ripples. Test results obtained through digital simulations show improvements in torque and speed ripples over the conventional proportional-integral (PI) controller. Finally, a hybrid controller is designed by using both the feedback linearization and fuzzy tracking control algorithms. The authors introduce a ZMP control method of dynamic biped walking with a special trunk mechanism. The trunk is for balancing during walking, which requires a small balancing space in motion. Walking simulations with the IWR model are shown using the proposed ZMP control method.
