Print advertisements (newspapers) are useful for all people who read them. The purpose of this paper is to describe the advertisement about “Satā’ir Panasonic al-Hawā’iyah” (AC cover) contained in Egypt’s Al-Ahrām newspaper. The method used in this paper is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The theory used in this research is Charles Sanders Peirce’s Semiotic theory; representamen, object, and interpretant. The results in this study indicates that (1) in terms of representamen, pink flowers in the advertisement show that what is seen is something that smells nice, soft, and comfortable; (2) the object in the advertisement is all the images and writing contained in the ad; (3) while the interpretant of the advertisement shows that the Panasonic brand AC cover product is fragrant, soft, clean, fresh, and comfortable to use.","PeriodicalId":243843,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ma‘rifah","volume":"24 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134221145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The object of this research is Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Metro, Lampung. Meanwhile, the instruments in this study were interviews and literature studies. It can be noted that the learning method greatly influences the learning process and outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the learning method used in MAN 1 Metro, Lampung, is the direct method (mubāsharah). The effectiveness and efficiency of this method can be proven in learning activities for vocabulary development, the practice of Arabic in daily communication, the practice of Arabic speech, and Arabic drama, and the use of Arabic vocabulary in public facilities. However, this is also not free from inhibiting factors, namely the background of educators who do not have an Arabic education background and a lack of competence as an Arabic teacher, students who are less motivated in learning Arabic, the background of students who do not understand Arabic, as well as teaching materials that are less relevant for students to use in learning Arabic speaking skills.","PeriodicalId":243843,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ma‘rifah","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133809426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ia menaruh banyak harapan atas belas kasihan Tuhan untuk dapat menerima taubatnya. Namun demikian, ia juga dihantui ketakutan jika Tuhan menolak permohonannya. Maka timbullah rasa putus asa karena ia merasa tidak ada yang dapat memberinya ampunan selain Tuhan. Objek material penelitian ini adalah puisi Al-I’tiraf karya Abu Nuwas beserta terjemahannya dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Meski ada pendapat yang mengatakan bahwa syair ini bukan asli karangan Abu Nuwas, akan tetapi masyarakat Indonesia, terutama kalangan pesantren mengenali syair ini dengan sebutan Syair Abu Nuwas. Adapun objek formalnya adalah gejolak batin yang dialami tokoh dalam puisi yang sepertinya menggambarkan pengalaman hidup sang pengarang, Abu Nuwas. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode psikologi sastra. Dimana analisis dilakukan terhadap kondisi jiwa tokoh yang mengalami penyesalan atas dosa yang ia lakukan, harapan akan ampunan Tuhan serta ketakutan akan penolakan dari Tuhan yang bisa menimbukan rasa putus asa. Adapun hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap perasaan yang dialami oleh tokoh dalam puisi, yaitu penyesalan, harapan dan putus asa.","PeriodicalId":243843,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ma‘rifah","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133887439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They came from the Arabian Peninsula for varied aims. And they spoke an Arabic dialect which conforms or differs from other ancient or modern Arabic dialects in many traits which they inherit from their forefathers, which shows that they preserve their Arabic Identity. Although this dialect is strictly following Arabic morphology. But at times they have their unique morphology perhaps it can be traced to some ancient Arabic dialects. Morphology has gained great importance because it helps to understand the meaning of phrases and words through usage. Thus, it should be facilitated as a legitimate requirement and based on an educational basis. It is required only if things are difficult. Hence, it was necessary to propose a enhanced model for the inherited declension (i‘rāb), which is able to be expanded later for application in classrooms. There is no doubt that there is no magical way or secret idea for the students, which leads them directly to the desired goal, which is the composition ability of their sound pronunciation, and evaluate their tongues on the sound, but access to that valuable result is a combination of many factors enumerated research in the next pages. The research presented descriptive analytical, ends with exercises on what was proposed. The goal is clear, and the way to it is in the content (selection - arrangement - gradient), and then comes the good training based on the grounds of combining comprehensiveness and ease. If this is achieved, research has become important in that it is a cycle of facilitation, and an idea of the development ideas sought by the institutions concerned with educational curricula and development.","PeriodicalId":243843,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ma‘rifah","volume":"134 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133425094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The art of singing has become more prevalent than other musical Arts in the Arab world. The songs were the first musical expressive tools that added to the melody of poetry more attractive and fun elements. Absorption words that come from different languages are very possible to experience changes from the original meaning. Therefore, the researcher wants to study further about the form of Arabic vocabulary that has been absorbed into Indonesian and experienced changes in meaning and what factors can cause changes in meaning in Arabic vocabulary that are absorbed into Indonesian. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method followed by analyzing the data obtained and presenting it in the form of a description. The results of this study indicate that changes in meaning that occur in Arabic vocabulary that are absorbed into Indonesian include three things, namely the expansion of meaning, narrowing of meaning, and change in total meaning. The factors that cause changes in meaning are developments in science and technology, social and cultural development, differences in usage fields, the existence of associations, differences in responses, grammatical processes, and the development of terms.","PeriodicalId":243843,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ma‘rifah","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133519103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
