However, only few researches focusing on wheelchairs automatic breaking system through speed reduction. Some of users have slow response in controlling the motorized wheelchair hence possibility to collide or to fall down is high. This research is focusing on the implementation of speed reduction method in DC motorized wheelchair to prevent collisions and also to protect the wheelchair and user from falling down. The system implanted on the control system will automatically reduce or stop the motion of the wheelchair when it detects turns or a sharp drop such as stairway. The implanted system used ultrasonic sensors to detect the presence of a barrier or a sharp drop. Eight sensors are implanted on the front and rear side of a wheelchair. When the sensors detect a presence of a barrier in 1 meter distance, speed will be reduced to 50% and when the distance is 30 cm, velocity will drop to zero. To prevent from falling down, the speed will be reduced to zero when it detects a drop more than 2 cm deep. The system has been tested and it works properly as required.","PeriodicalId":243340,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Engineering, Science, and Commerce, ICESC 2019, 18-19 October 2019, Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125618604","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is necessary to develop alternative energy sources that can replace fossil energy sources with renewable energy such as water energy as electricity generation. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of rotor blade curvature variations on the performance of kinetic turbines. The kinetic turbine used has three variations of rotor blade curvature which are 40, 50 and 60 mm with four variations of water flow velocity namely 1.5 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 m / s. This research was conducted with real experimental methods at a laboratory scale. The results showed that there was an increase in performance when there were variations in rotor blade curvature. The 60 mm rotor blade curvature has the highest efficiency value of 23.73% then the 50 mm rotor blade curvature has an efficiency value of 18.88% and the lowest efficiency value occurs at the 40 mm rotor blade curvature.","PeriodicalId":243340,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Engineering, Science, and Commerce, ICESC 2019, 18-19 October 2019, Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121610435","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This shows that the maintenance of district roads has not run well. One of the problems is budget constraints. For this reason, an evaluation of the current maintenance planning approach is based on a combination of technocratic and participatory models. This article will discuss the factors that have a significant effect on road maintenance so far using Structural Equation Models (SEM). The results showed that the variable community participation was not significantly influential in planning the district road maintenance program. This has a major impact on the condition of district roads where many sections that are severely damaged have never been included in road management programs in each fiscal year. For this reason, the strategy to develop a road maintenance program needs to involve the community.","PeriodicalId":243340,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Engineering, Science, and Commerce, ICESC 2019, 18-19 October 2019, Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115503753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although these three dimensions influence each other and cannot stand on their own, and are assumed to be supportive to each other and compatible. However, most studies focus on the environmental and economic dimensions. The social dimension gains less attention and is difficult to attain and operationalise. To implement STD properly and balanced, it is necessary to explore the social dimension of STDs to obtain a clear agreement on the concept of social dimension in STD, especially from Indonesia's perspective. The purpose of this study is to explore the boundaries of social dimension of STD. This research is an exploratory study that aims to develop knowledge that is still new in nature and to provide direction for future research and also to fill gaps or shortcomings of the concept and definition of social aspects within the framework of STD using a systematic literature review. The result of the study is a concept of social dimension of Sustainable Tourism Development.","PeriodicalId":243340,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Engineering, Science, and Commerce, ICESC 2019, 18-19 October 2019, Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130953768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, criminal and safety issues cannot be predicted when and how it is occured. Application (apps) for tourism are spreading out today. Security and safety are becoming factors that preclude to traveling. Both Security and Safety are mentioned as only Safety in this paper. This problem must be addressed, and tourism apps is playing a key-role. In this study, we develop interaction design (IxD) of tourism apps which is accommodating preventive and first-aid. Preventive action by providing safety issues in each tourism place, while first-aid provides early assistance when occuring criminal incident. IxD is designed based on user experience approach. Ten’s Nielsen principles are used as guideline, while cognitive walkthrough is used as measurement method. Lombok Island is chosen as case study. It has many potential tourism destination, which are growing rapidly. They have known for their social, natural and cultural tourism. Within this apps, we can inspect criminal vulnerability in each region along with steps may have be taken if experiencing criminal incident. Result reveals features regarding to criminal issues are helpful and easy to be used.
