Minimizing energy dissipation and maximizing network lifetime are important issues in the design of applications and protocols for sensor networks. Energy-efficient sensor state planning consists in finding an optimal assignment of states to sensors in order to maximize network lifetime. So that it is important to develop energy efficient solution to keep these networks for the longest period of time. Since, most of the nodes energy spent on data transmission, for that many routing technique has been proposed to expand the network lifetime such as the Online Maximum Lifetime heuristic and capacity maximization. In this project we propose an efficient routing power management heuristic obtain higher life time and increased coverage areas for network systems. In this we divide the node energy into two ratios; one for the sensor node originated data and the other one is data relays from other sensors. In our project, we are going to use the “Artificial bee colony algorithm” along with ERPMT to route the data packets. So, the lifetime of the network get increased when compared with the ABC algorithm alone used for routing the data packets.","PeriodicalId":242568,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Current Trends in Engineering and Technology (ICCTET)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116135008","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While the benefits of these services are more, there are new security threats in the direction of the accuracy of the data in the cloud due to the physical possession of their outsourced data. To address this new problem and improved security and reliable cloud storage service to realize, we propose a distributed storage integrity auditing mechanism, by utilizing the homomorphic token and distributed erasure-coded data in this article. The proposed design allows users to monitor the cloud storage with very lightweight communication and computation costs. This provides strong cloud storage accuracy and also allows for faster fault location data, that is to say, the identification of misbehaving server. The proposed design supports continued safe and efficient dynamic activities, including block modification, deletion and append. The proposed system is very effective against server colluding attacks and data modification attacks.","PeriodicalId":242568,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Current Trends in Engineering and Technology (ICCTET)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121694406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also acts as an Automatic Guided Vehicle (industrial applications) to handle materials. The obstacle is sensed by means of an infra red sensor placed in front end of the robot. When the obstacle is sensed the stepper motor changes the direction of motion of the robot as per the program embedded in it. The path is pre programmed as we know where we use the robot, the change in direction of motion when the obstacle is sensed can also be preprogrammed. We used ATMEL microcontroller (ATMEL 89c51) for controlling the robot. A servo motor is used for the motion of the robot. [1][2][3]The speed of robot's movement can be adjusted by using an appropriate gear set. The robot can be used to transport materials in hazardous environment where it is difficult for human beings to carry that operation. This can be modified slightly and it can be used as a vehicle for aiding blind people. Technology is revolutionizing the medical field with the creation of robotic devices and complex imaging. Though these developments have made operations much less invasive, robotic systems have their own disadvantages that prevent them from replacing surgeons. Robotic surgery can be further divided into three subcategories depending on the degree of surgeon interaction during the procedure, supervisory-controlled, telesurgical, and shared-control.","PeriodicalId":242568,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Current Trends in Engineering and Technology (ICCTET)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122445336","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Up gradation to higher seismic zones of several cities and towns in the country has also necessitated in evolving new retrofitting strategies. One of the techniques of strengthening the reinforced concrete structural members is through external confinement by high strength fibre composites which can significantly enhance the strength and ductility. Fibre materials are used to strengthen a variety of reinforced concrete elements to enhance the flexural, shear, and axial load carrying capacity of elements. Beam, being vertical load resisting members in reinforced concrete structures are particularly vulnerable to failures during earthquakes and hence their retrofit is often the key to successful seismic retrofit strategy. The existing reinforced concrete beams which are not designed as per code IS 13920:1993 must be strengthened since they do not meet the ductility requirements. Three exterior reinforced concrete beam specimens was casted, in which one had reinforcement details as per code IS 456:2000(control) and another had reinforcement details as per code IS 13920:1993(control). The remaining specimen had reinforcement details as per code IS 456:2000 retrofitted with JUTE fibre sheets using epoxy resin(retrofitted[1]). The both ends of beam were hinged. Static load was applied at the top of the beam up to a controlled load deflection. The performance of the retrofitted beam was compared with the control beam specimens and the results are presented in this paper.","PeriodicalId":242568,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Current Trends in Engineering and Technology (ICCTET)","volume":"244 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122900535","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
