To remain sustainable, multinational enterprises (MNEs) seek any competitive advantage that strengthens their brand, improves efficiency, increases profitability, or lowers costs. Considering all available options and committing to perpetual value creation is not just good business sense, it is fundamental to survival. Driving up shareholder value is the result of a culmination of business decisions to meet the expectations of one important stakeholder, the customer. Customers are consumers, and despite significant differences in needs, tastes, and preferences, common denominators are an appreciation for value and transaction benefits that exceed opportunity costs. How effectively a business meets or exceeds a customer's expectations will directly impact their overall satisfaction. Customer satisfaction is sensitive to a wide variety of factors, and how a company addresses them will ultimately determine their success, longevity, and positioning amongst industry peers.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int. The authors propose a model that characterizes dynamic profit-maximizing competitive pricing strategies of digital goods with network effects. In a two-period game theory model, an incumbent firm has a quality advantage in period 1, but the potential disrupter has a quality advantage in period 2. They analyze pricing strategies and characterize conditions under which the potential disrupter becomes an actual disrupter. They discuss implications for user adoption of digital goods and opportunities for future research.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Strateg. Decis. The SccoB process forms a complementary relation with the firm's existing processes and provides a counterweight to its existing mode of thought. This is done through an internal, counter-culture research institute and the creation of stress and profound insights through the identification and analysis of operational anomalies. SccoB is also a mapping process which moves the organization to greater quality and agility and to more advanced forms of mapping, such as the mapping of technical skills, complex diagnostic problem spaces, business process knowledge requirements, and cognitive force.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int. There are a number of studies that have employed both parametric and non-parametric methodologies to forecast credit rating migration, employing machine learning methods; and notably, artificial intelligence methods becoming increasingly popular. The present study extends upon research within the extant literature employing a novel estimation method, a neural network modelling technique, herewith the MPANN (multi-layer neural network). Consistent with the extant literature, the present article identifies that the legal framework and system of taxation enacted within a polity are pertinent to predicting rating migration. However, extending upon traditional estimation techniques the study identifies that a number of different model calibrations achieve greater predictive accuracy than traditional parametric regression. Notably, the method is able to achieve superior goodness of fit and predictive accuracy in determining credit rating migration than models employed within the extant literature.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int. Blood donors may not be able to donate because of the long distance between blood donation centers and their location. In this article, a dynamic hierarchical location-allocation model with fuzzy conditions is offered to locate blood donation centers and assign blood donors to these centers. The limited life span for blood is considered as the most important model assumption. Because of this in real world situations, fuzzy theory and uncertainty approaches will be applied to formulate the problem. In addition, the total amount of donated blood for each area is not definite. The ratio between different expiration dates and blood depends on blood donations during different periods, so this parameter is faced with uncertainty. Numerical examples are presented to show benefits the and the performance of proposed model. In addition, the proposed model is run for a real-world case in the city of Tehran, Iran. The results indicate that applying the proposed optimization model can improve amount of shortage and inventory in the blood network against current status in the case study. Besides, experiments indicate that applying fuzzy theory for this problem can reduce 12.5% of total costs via the certain formulation.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Strateg. With this objective, this research examines how display of the goods inside the store, appearance and helpfulness of store employees and crowd inside the retail store affect impulsive buying and such buying tendency among Indian shoppers. Using multiple regression analysis, it is observed that retail shopping environment considerably influences the impulsive buying tendency of the shoppers and this tendency leads to spontaneous buying. The results reveal that retail shopping environment and consumer impulse buying tendency encourage impulse buying positively. In addition, it is found that store employees have no influence on impulse buying tendency among Indian shoppers.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Strateg. Decis. The prediction accuracy of the model is accessed by normalized mean square error (NMSE) and sign correctness percentage (SCP) measure. The study indicates that the predicted output is very close to actual data since the normalized error of one-day lag is 0.02. The analysis further shows that 60 percent accuracy found in the prediction of the direction of daily movement of Indian stock market price after the financial crises period 2008. The study indicates that the predictive power of the feedforward neural network models reasonably influenced by one-day lag stock market price. Hence, the validity of an efficient market hypothesis does not hold in practice in the Indian stock market. This article is quite useful to the investors, professional traders and regulators for understanding the effectiveness of Indian stock market to take appropriate investment decision in the stock market.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int. The traditional brick-and-mortar as well as online retailers must attract shoppers to use mobile shopping apps. For this, it is pertinent for retailers to predict users' continuous intention to buy through apps. To address this question, the present study has applied four prominent binary classifiers - logit regression, linear discriminant analysis, artificial neutral network and decision tree analysis to develop predictive models. Findings of the study shall help the marketers in accurately forecasting shoppers' buying behaviour. Various indices have been used to check the predictive accuracy of four techniques. The outcome of the study shows that the models developed using decision tree analysis and artificial neutral network provide better results in predicting consumers' continuous intention to buy through app. Based on the findings, the paper has also provided implications for the retailers.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int. The study considers key economic and governance metrics on national acceptance an implementation of the first Basle accord. Employing a data set of 70 countries, the present study considers the role of market forces and bilateral and multi-lateral pressures on implementation of soft law. There is little known about the role of legal system structure-related variables as factors moderating the implementation of multi-lateral agreements and international soft law, such as the 1988 accord. The present study extends upon research within the extant literature by employing a novel estimation method, a neural network modelling technique, with multi-layer perceptron artificial neural network (MPANN). Consistent with earlier studies, the article identifies a significant and positive effect associated with democratic systems and the implementation of the Basle accord. However, extending upon traditional estimation techniques, the study identifies the significance of savings rates and government effectiveness in determining implementation. Notably, the method is able to achieve a superior goodness of fit and predictive accuracy in determining implementation.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Strateg. Decis. This article is descriptive research, with the goal of identifying and characterizing the role of information in strategic decision making. The structure of the article synthesizes the existing academic work, seeking to generate new knowledge. The strategy of any organization can be defined from the outside to the inside, according to the schools of the positioning, or from the inside out, according to the schools of the movement, in which the organization influences the surroundings with its offer of products and or innovative services, since it has competencies and capabilities that competitors do not have and that are difficult to imitate or to buy. Hence the importance that weak and strong signals play as information of anticipation in the definition of the strategy and so, the goal is to treat the issue of the role of information in the process of formulation of the strategy in the context of strategic decision making. Based on research and practical experiences carried out by the investigator in strategic consulting in small, medium and large companies for about 20 years, the author will propose a model of the role of information in the process of formulating the strategy and its operationalization.","PeriodicalId":242450,"journal":{"name":"Int.
